Evan Yang nodded, but his hatred for Hell Palace deepened.
At that moment, there was movement in the secret room. The Spatial Patriarch called Evan Yang in. Seeing him, Evan was excited and entered, respectfully asking, "Senior, any news?"
"There’s news, but..." The Spatial Patriarch furrowed his brow.
"But what?" Evan Yang asked anxiously upon hearing this.
"The space she entered is very strange. I don’t know the exact situation inside, but she’s still alive. You’ll have to go yourself," the Spatial Patriarch said.
"Alright, I’ll go find her." As long as Evan knew where Gavin White was, he would risk anything to rescue her.
"This secret room is too small. I’ll find a place and set up a space transfer array to send you there," the Spatial Patriarch told Evan Yang.
"Alright," Evan Yang replied.
The Spatial Patriarch took Evan Yang out of the secret room, but he needed helpers, so he asked Tony Tong to select some trusted people to follow.
Tony Tong led his people to a mountain. He asked curiously, "What are we doing here?"
"Senior is setting up the space transfer array. I’ll go find Gavin White," Evan Yang said.
"I see. Be careful, then," Tony Tong said. Evan Yang nodded.
The Spatial Patriarch took out various materials and began setting up the array. When ready, he selected ten people from Tony Tong’s group to be array eyes, then activated the formation.
A huge array appeared. The Spatial Patriarch told Evan Yang, "Go quickly. You have three months—if you don’t find her and return in time, the array will lose effectiveness and you’ll both be trapped."
"Don’t worry, Senior," Evan Yang replied.
Under Tony Tong and the others’ watchful eyes, Evan Yang entered the array. After he went in, Tony Tong told the group, "You must follow the Spatial Patriarch’s instructions and manage the array carefully. Don’t make mistakes."
The group answered loudly, "Yes!" They kept busy, while those not involved in the array remained with Tony Tong.
Tony Tong and his group left, but couldn’t escape Dark Ghost Shadow’s notice. He quickly reported to Gideon Yue, who was furious over losing so many Hell Palace agents. Hearing the news, Gideon Yue sneered, "Opportunity! Are they far from Heavenly Mansion?"
"Far. It’ll take Heavenly Mansion’s people at least half an hour to get there," Dark Ghost Shadow replied.
"Good, perfect chance! This time I’ll deal with Tony Tong and Heavenly Mansion!" Seeing the opportunity, Gideon Yue snorted, then led the Night Squad and over a hundred people to the mountain.
Tony Tong and his people waited, worried that if Hell Palace brought many people, Heavenly Mansion’s forces wouldn’t be enough. Just as he worried, Hell Palace arrived.
Gideon Yue, leading, laughed, “Tony Tong, we meet again.”
“What are you planning?” Tony Tong was shocked to see Gideon Yue with so many people.
“Scared? You picked a place so far away—was it to let us cause trouble?” Gideon Yue laughed.
Hearing this, Tony Tong knew he had to use the artifact. He took out the Protean Bracelet, which covered Heavenly Mansion and the transfer array. Gideon Yue was shocked, “Protean Bracelet, you actually have it.”
“It’s a reward from the Mansion Lord. I have to use it today,” Tony Tong said.
“Damn it, everyone attack! I don’t believe a hundred attackers can’t destroy the Protean Bracelet,” Gideon Yue said.
Tony Tong muttered, “With a hundred attackers, the bracelet should hold for over a month. I hope he can make it back in time. I need to contact others.”
Tony Tong took out a communication stone, but found it lost contact. He frowned and saw Hell Palace had set up a large array to block all signals.
“Damn Hell Palace people,” Tony Tong growled.
Seeing Tony Tong’s expression, Gideon Yue snorted, “I don’t believe you can send any messages.”
Tony Tong frowned, while the Spatial Patriarch continued controlling the array, ignoring outside matters.
Seeing what the Spatial Patriarch was doing, Gideon Yue finally understood. He laughed, “So that’s it—you actually invited the Spatial Patriarch. No wonder you’re so interested in an old man; you want to find the girl who was sent away.”
“Gideon Yue, just wait. When he returns, it’ll be your death day,” Tony Tong sneered.
“You mean that boy? You really think he’s that strong? He’s just an Immortal Lord. Even if he comes out now, I’ll crush him. Besides, he can’t get out yet. By the time he returns, things might have changed,” Gideon Yue laughed.
Tony Tong ignored him, continuing to control the artifact, hoping Evan Yang would return soon.
Meanwhile, Evan Yang was in another space—quiet, windless, without any trace of life. He had no idea where he was.
“Where did Gavin White go? How can I find her?” Evan Yang wondered. Searching for someone in such a space was like finding a needle in a haystack; there were no traces, and he couldn’t figure out where he was.
Facing this situation, Evan Yang released a Phantom Bird, hoping to get lucky and find something.
Evan Yang flew for ten days, searching everywhere, but found no trace. Eventually, he saw an ocean ahead.
The vast sea made him feel tiny. Evan Yang scratched his head and muttered, “Do I have to cross the ocean?”
Just as Evan Yang finished muttering, he sensed a living presence and looked toward it, seeing something on the water’s surface.
Curious, Evan Yang flew over and saw a fish on the water. Instead of fleeing, the fish spoke: “Who are you? Why are you here?”
Surprised at the talking fish, Evan Yang asked, “Do you live here?”
“Of course. Otherwise, why would I be here?” the fish replied. Evan Yang smiled, “Can you tell me what this place is? And why aren’t there any humans—where did they go?”
“Humans? This was never a human world. You’re in the wrong place,” the fish said.
