High-Grade Martial Soul

Ian Song asked, "How did you know?"

His secret exposed, Nate Moore's face changed dramatically, eyes full of terror. Not only had Ian Song seen through his secret, he could also teleport instantly—meaning that when trying to escape, Nate had no advantage at all.

He couldn't win, and he couldn't run!

Despair welled up from deep inside him.

"No way, I can't give up now! I haven't even become a Martial Saint yet!"

Whoosh!

Nate vanished again, pouring all his strength into the jade pendant's spatial power and instantly jumping fifty li away.

But just as he reappeared, Ian Song was already standing there waiting for him.

Nate needed to communicate with his jade pendant to teleport, while Ian Song only had to move with a thought. So even if Nate activated his teleport first, Ian Song would always be faster.

The moment he saw Ian Song, the fear on Nate's face deepened even further.

He tried teleporting again.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Inside the Martial Soul Hall, Nate kept teleporting over and over, but still couldn't shake off Ian Song.

Finally, on his fifty-sixth teleport, the jade pendant suddenly cracked with a "ka-cha" and shattered into four pieces, leaving his body frozen in place.

He'd always known the pendant's energy was limited; it couldn't let him teleport endlessly.

"Why aren't you running anymore?"

Ian Song looked at him with a teasing smile.

Thud!

Nate did something no one expected—he dropped to his knees in front of Ian Song.

"Leon Huang, please spare me! I swear I'll never go against you again!"

Ian Song shook his head. "I already gave you a chance just now, but you didn't know how to cherish it. Besides, you've reached late-Grandmaster by slaughtering plenty of innocent people, haven't you? Leaving you alive would only bring disaster to even more innocents!"

"Go die!"

Suddenly, the kneeling Nate Moore turned into a streak of lightning, lunging straight at Ian Song with a vicious grin, his palm shooting toward Ian's dantian in a last-ditch sneak attack.

"Pfft!"

A flash of sword light pierced straight through Nate Moore's brow.

Truth be told, Ian Song had considered enslaving Nate with his Puppet Mastery Divine Art, but in the end, he dismissed the idea. After all, Nate was the original protagonist of this world, blessed with protagonist-level destiny—who knew if he might one day break free of the Puppet Mastery Divine Art's control?

So, the safest option was simply to kill him.

He stored the corpse in his Masterwork Storage Ring, then, after a few quick teleports, Ian Song returned to his original spot.

"Leon Huang, how did it go?" Harriet Gu asked with concern.

"It's settled," Ian Song replied.

Ian Song nodded.

"Good."

Harriet Gu nodded, not prying any further into how Ian Song had dealt with Nate Moore.

That was one of the things Ian Song admired most about Harriet Gu.

For the next while, Ian Song and Harriet Gu searched for Martial Souls together.

Even with the help of Clairvoyant Vision, Ian Song still couldn't find a single Martial Soul.

Suddenly, a figure raced toward Ian Song and Harriet Gu, with three others hot on his heels.

The fleeing man spotted Ian Song and his face changed dramatically, quickly trying to veer away.

But that momentary hesitation let the three pursuers close in by several meters, narrowing the gap.

Whoosh!
