Half a day later, they had already flown far away.

Grace struggled and shouted to Benny, "Benny, stop for a moment! I’m about to be blown away by this wind!"

Normally, a spirit beast mount would form a protective shield on its back, so its rider wouldn’t feel the harsh winds at all.

But Benny probably hadn’t learned how to protect his rider yet, so Grace had to use up a ton of spiritual energy just to keep from falling off—and to fight against that bone-chilling, high-speed wind...

Benny carefully landed, but as sand and rocks flew everywhere, he worried about hurting Grace and almost dropped her again.

Once they were on the ground, Grace squatted there for ages before she finally caught her breath.

She looked around but couldn’t tell east from west at all.

She had absolutely no idea which direction the Dragon Clan’s base was in.

All around was nothing but darkness and wasteland.

The sky was nothing but gray.

In the distance, the cry of some unknown beast echoed.

Grace quickly sent Benny back into her sanctum.

He was just too conspicuous.

Grandpa Gene the High Saint had said that any beast able to survive in a place like this must be incredibly strong.

If a ferocious beast came to attack, Benny’s lack of battle experience might spell trouble...

She figured she’d have to ask Evan Xiao for help.

But she wondered... Was the distance too great for him to sense the Dragon Pendant’s signal?

She pulled the pendant from around her neck and bit down on it, hard.

She believed, if he felt it, he’d definitely come to bring her back.

But she’d been carried here in Benny’s mouth, flying for at least a full day and night.
