Chapter 841: Damn Bastard

In the void, the most terrifying things are spatial storms and elemental storms. Those vast elemental tempests stretching hundreds of miles—if even the mightiest Sky Rank experts fell in, they might never come out again...

The elemental storm slammed into the Venom Behemoth, making it howl in agony. The thick hide covering its body began to weather and thin, layer by layer.

Furious, the Venom Behemoth let out a roar and spat a massive black sphere of poison, seven or eight meters wide, hurtling toward the group like a cannonball.

At this moment, Reina made her move. She extended a hand, and a sheet of ice crystals instantly formed in her palm. She blew gently on the crystals, scattering them as icy dust toward the black poison sphere.

The shards of ice touched the poison sphere—not instantly annihilated by the toxins as others had feared, but instead freezing the black sphere solid in an instant.

Reina had already broken through to level thirty-nine, and with all the precious spells Leon had copied for her from the Spellbook of Ages, her strength had transformed completely.

This instant freeze was a seventh-level frost spell. Legend had it that, mastered to perfection, even space itself could be frozen in a heartbeat.

As a Frost Dragon, Reina had only recently learned this spell, but she could already cast it without incantations. Its power was immense—the freezing happened so fast the toxins never even had time to blend.

The massive poison sphere, now frozen solid, was immediately met by Hubert, who stood in front of it gripping Slaughter. With a mighty swing, he smashed the ice sphere into countless shards...

The Alchemical Golem began casting spells at the Venom Behemoth as well. This time, the torrent of magic was two or three times stronger than before—a river of spells dozens of meters wide, relentlessly pounding the Venom Behemoth, explosions erupting nonstop, making it impossible for the beast to advance.

Just moments ago, this Venom Behemoth tore the earth as easily as ripping a sheet of paper. Its tail, swung carelessly, could shatter a boulder over ten meters wide. Its strength was monstrous, but now it was completely suppressed, unable to move forward.

Reina soared into the air, waving both hands and scattering a shower of ice crystals. As the crystals appeared, the temperature in the sky plummeted, and flurries of snow began to drift down.

The ice crystals landed on the Venom Behemoth's back, instantly spreading frost across its hide. In just two or three seconds, a section of its back, dozens of meters wide, was frozen solid.

Hubert, gripping Slaughter, leapt onto the Venom Behemoth's back from the other side and brought the warhammer crashing down.

With a thunderous boom, waves of white energy rippled out from Slaughter, spreading in all directions—the roar was like a barrage of muffled thunder.

The frozen patch on the Venom Behemoth's back was shattered in an instant—a chunk over ten meters wide exploded into fragments of frozen flesh.

The Venom Behemoth let out a miserable scream, its limbs buckling instantly. Hubert's terrifying strength even forced its massive body to sink downward.

Where the Venom Behemoth's limbs pressed against the ground, spiderweb cracks split open at the same time.

With a massive chunk of flesh missing from its back, the Venom Behemoth began to thrash wildly. Even Anderson's elemental storm and the Alchemical Golem's torrent of spells were struggling to keep it suppressed.

The Venom Behemoth opened its maw wide, black venom rapidly gathering in its throat. Just then, Reina swiftly chanted an incantation, and a head-sized sphere of ice dropped straight into the beast's mouth...

The ice sphere silently shattered, scattering shards inside. Instantly, the black venom in the Venom Behemoth's throat froze solid—even its jaws and tongue were locked in ice.

Back then, although Reina was a Frost Dragon, she didn't know many frost spells—especially high-level ones. Her strongest move, Zero Breath, was just a dragon's instinct, and after using it, she had to rest a while before she could unleash it again. In battle, that cooldown meant she could only use Zero Breath once per fight...

But now, with her rank raised and a wealth of advanced frost spells at her command, every spell she cast could rival the old power of Zero Breath.

With its mouth frozen shut and a huge lump of venom iced over in its throat, the Venom Behemoth grew even more frenzied.

Its massive claws flailed wildly, no longer aiming at anything—just trying to tear apart whatever was in front of it.

Hubert, standing atop the Venom Behemoth, was sent flying by the beast's sudden rampage. Anderson, however, seized the opportunity—his four-elemental spells collided, unleashing a raging elemental storm beneath the beast, forcing it to rear up on its hind legs.

The Alchemical Golem also attacked with full force, unleashing a torrent of fire spells at the Venom Behemoth's hind legs just as its body was lifted.

In an instant, the Venom Behemoth lost all balance and toppled sideways. Its claws ignored its falling body, frantically pounding at its own throat.

A massive chunk of ice, two or three meters wide, was wedged in its throat, leaving not a single gap. The suffocating sensation drove the Venom Behemoth utterly mad—it was now desperate to smash the ice blocking its airway...

At that moment, Hubert, his skin flushed red, came charging from afar. Steam billowed off him, rising in a smoky column toward the sky, his arm muscles twitching with power.

Still a dozen meters away, Hubert suddenly leapt, swinging Slaughter in a brutal arc aimed straight for the Venom Behemoth's jaw.

A gust of wind rose with Hubert as he flew, meeting the falling Venom Behemoth head-on. Slaughter, carrying tens of thousands of pounds of force, smashed into the beast's jaw...

Instantly, the Venom Behemoth's tough jaw skin shattered like broken ice, exploding into fragments. The left side of its jawbone was smashed to powder, and shards of ice, blood, and bone blasted outward.

If Hubert had landed just a little bit harder, the Venom Behemoth's entire jaw would have been reduced to rubble...

With most of its jaw shattered, the Venom Behemoth's throat was wracked with tremors from Hubert's blow. The ice tore through the soft flesh inside, spraying blood everywhere...

Just as Hubert sprang up, ready to smash the Venom Behemoth's skull with another blow...

From afar, a streak of black light shot toward Hubert at terrifying speed, arriving before him in an instant. Startled, Hubert raised Slaughter to block.

Only then did he see the black light was a bizarrely shaped spear, thrusting at his chest. Slaughter deflected it slightly, but the force was so immense that Hubert's whole body shuddered as the spear's tail grazed past him.

As the spear spun, it completed half a turn, and its tail lashed viciously across Hubert's back.

In an instant, Hubert plummeted from midair like a falling meteor, crashing hard into the ground.

With a thunderous crash, a crater seven or eight meters wide appeared in the earth. Jagged cracks spread for over ten meters around, and Hubert lay sprawled at the bottom, spitting blood, a glaring wound across his back.

Leon’s brow furrowed sharply, his expression turning cold.

The black spear had come so fast that no one could help Hubert—and everyone thought he’d be able to block it.

Everyone knew Hubert’s monstrous strength and tough body, but no one expected that after blocking the spear, it would spin, using Hubert’s own force to whip around.

When the spear’s tail struck, it carried not only its own power but also Hubert’s strength. The blow was so fierce, the air didn’t even have time to burst.

Watching Hubert crawl out of the crater, blood streaking his back, Leon knew that a few months ago, this strike would’ve shattered every bone in Hubert’s spine—his organs would’ve been pulp, and he’d be dead by now.

But now, Hubert had reached Fifth-Rank Sword Saint, his body tougher than ever. Despite the brutal hit, he only had a nasty-looking wound and spat a little blood, but he could still move—he even managed to bare his teeth and curse...

"Damn bastard! Who snuck up on Lord Hubert? Come out, you coward! I’ll rip your head off and use it as a chamber pot..."

The sneak attack interrupted Hubert’s final, charged-up blow. Meanwhile, the Venom Behemoth, regaining its balance, seized the chance—it didn’t care about the ice chunk still stuck in its throat. Its claws dug furiously at the ground, and in the blink of an eye, its head was already burrowing underground.

Seeing it about to escape, Leon snorted coldly and instantly summoned his Flame Elemental Avatar. A wall of fire stretched from Leon to the Venom Behemoth, and Leon vanished from sight.

By the time half the Venom Behemoth’s body had burrowed underground, Leon suddenly appeared above it. A massive phantom wheel spun behind him, and countless runes swarmed like fish before him, while his Dragon Staff blazed with fierce flames.

The runes mingled with fire, snaking through the cracks around the Venom Behemoth and into the pit. Instantly, the ground began to quake violently.

Where the Venom Behemoth burrowed, it was as if a volcano were about to erupt—the earth bulged upward, and the beast’s body trembled violently.
