"Ethan, where are you going?"
Just as I was about to leap from the city wall, Rachel Lan's voice called out behind me. I stopped, turned, and answered.
"It's nothing, Rachel. I'm just going to take a look."
There was a trace of worry in Rachel Lan's eyes. At that moment, Sylvia Blue followed behind.
I'll go with him. Don't worry, I'll bring Rachel back safely.
Suddenly, footsteps sounded from the stairs. A man with an iron mask walked up—it was Ethan Zhang, the Earthly Soul. I stared at him in shock.
"How did you..."
"When did this iron-masked man get here?"
Rachel Lan asked, her gaze tinged with annoyance. I had never told her about the Earthly Soul. Now, he approached with a wicked grin, and Rachel Lan looked at him with a trace of disgust.
"It's best if none of you go, especially you. Didn't you say you wanted to protect Rachel Lan? What if something happens to her?"
Entity 001 floated over, holding a black umbrella.
"Wait for me! You're really something."
Entity 001 complained as she arrived at the city wall. The other three Forsaken watched her, barely suppressing their laughter.
"Shut up."
Earthly Soul spun around and barked at her. Entity 001 pouted, shot him a glare, then huffed and squatted down, clearly unhappy.
"Fine, I'll shut up. Why are you so mean to me?"
"Are you planning to go with Ethan Zhang?"
The Forsaken surrounding us seemed to sense the subtle tension between me, Earthly Soul, and Rachel Lan. No one mentioned Earthly Soul's true identity.
"I'll go with you."
Earthly Soul looked at me quietly and spoke.
