What Are You Doing
She followed her at a leisurely pace, arriving at the entrance of a hexagonal room.
Princess Luminia stood by the exit on the opposite side of the room, no longer running.
"How did you get here?" Princess Luminia asked in surprise.
Grace gave her a sly smile. "Take a guess."
Honestly, even she had no idea how she ended up here.
"Who did you come here with?" Princess Luminia clearly didn't believe she could get here on her own.
Grace just smiled again. "Not telling you."
With that, she melted into the darkness.
Then she kept running forward, nonstop.
It was Princess Luminia's first time in here, too. She assumed Grace was heading toward the entrance to the Hidden Manor.
She had no idea that this direction actually led to an exit.
Without hesitation, she chased after her.
But as soon as she stepped into the center of the hexagonal stone chamber, countless purple vines suddenly appeared and wrapped her up tight.
Princess Luminia's face changed drastically. She unleashed her powerful divine energy to attack the vines.
However... just like with Grandpa Gene the High Saint and Ray, it was useless!
The 'Soulbane' in Soulbane Vine isn't just for show.
It can drain every last drop of divine power from anyone at the god-tier level. In severe cases, it can even knock them down a whole rank!
Grace hid far away, listening to Princess Luminia's screams growing weaker and more pitiful. A smile slowly formed at the corners of her mouth.
She figured that was enough, so she returned to the stone chamber.
Princess Luminia was tangled up by the Soulbane Vine, her limbs and head suspended in midair, lying on her back above the ground.
Her waist and body were also completely wrapped up.
Her head hung back, her face drained of all color—she looked like a dying criminal about to be torn apart, not a trace of the Phoenix Clan princess's dignity or divinity left.
Sure enough, the Soulbane Vine totally ignored anyone who hadn't reached immortality.
Wendy Zhu was perfectly fine, hiding behind the stone chamber door, not daring to come any closer.
Grace walked over, looked down at Princess Luminia, and flashed her a sly smile.
"You..." Princess Luminia gasped. "Chloe Zhu, you led me here on purpose!"
"What do you mean I led you here?" Grace looked completely innocent. "You were the one chasing me, Princess!"
Princess Luminia took a deep breath, glanced at the Soulbane Vine wrapped around her, and asked, "What is this thing?"
"Grandpa Gene the High Saint told me... it's called the Soulbane Vine. Back in ancient times, the Divine Race kept it at their door to guard against thieves! It won't let go until it's sucked up every bit of your divine and immortal power!"
"Where is he? Tell him to come out and face me!" Princess or not, even in this state, her tone was still full of authority.
"Yes! At your command, Princess Luminia." Grace pulled out the tuft of grass that Grandpa Gene the High Saint had transformed into and showed it to her. "Here!"
Princess Luminia saw Grandpa Gene the High Saint's form and her eyes widened. Her mental defenses crumbled, and her divine power drained even faster.
Slowly, the purple vines began to shrink back one by one.
With a thud, Princess Luminia dropped to the ground, frowning in pain.
Only then did Grace reach for her chest.
"You think now that my divine power's been drained, you can kill me?" Princess Luminia sneered, her face ghostly pale. "A mere Spirit Practitioner—how delusional!"
"I know I can't kill you!" Grace said. "Who said I wanted to kill you?"
As she spoke, she reached into Princess Luminia's arms, rummaging around.
"What are you doing?" Princess Luminia snapped.
