Joe Di boarded the Chaos Skyship alongside the other Saint Seat Holders. Once on deck, he realized the vessel had no cabins at all. Instead, around the ship were nearly two thousand flat stones resembling cannon emplacements. Sweeping his divine sense over them, Joe Di counted nearly two thousand in total—matching the number of people present. He deduced that each person was meant to take one position.
Saint Quinn Jett strode to the bow and announced in a resonant voice, "Fellow Daoists, this Chaos Skyship consumed countless supreme materials and was refined over many years by myself and numerous top artifact craftsmen. Chaos can be traversed by burning Supreme Ley Lines to carve a path—I've personally tested this, and it truly works."
Now, each of you will occupy a position. At every station, there is a Burn Array Rune for igniting Supreme Ley Lines. Your duty is simple: whenever the Supreme Ley Line at your station burns out, promptly retrieve a new ley line and place it in the burn slot. The portal for Supreme Ley Line retrieval is located at the upper left of your position—simply place your hand on the Portal Rune, and a Supreme Ley Line will be delivered automatically.
Never let the burn slot run empty. If it does, the chaotic essence may surge in from your station and pressurize the entire ship. Remember, if a problem arises at your station and you cannot resolve it, you must immediately activate the Warning Array Rune at your side."
At this point, Saint Quinn Jett swept his gaze across all the Saint Seat Holders before continuing, "If any station fails and the guardian does not handle it properly, that person will be thrown into the Burn Array Rune, taking the place of a Supreme Ley Line to burn a path through Chaos."
Though Saint Quinn Jett's tone remained calm, every Saint Seat Holder who heard this felt a chill in their hearts. To be cast into the Burn Array Rune meant not only annihilation of body and soul, but a fate of excruciating torment.
Perhaps realizing his words were too severe, Saint Quinn Jett softened his tone. "Of course, as long as you ensure a Supreme Ley Line is always burning at your station, you are free to walk the deck or trade with others aboard the Chaos Skyship."
"Fellow Daoist, choose a spot near me when the time comes." Though Saint Henry Yi didn’t explicitly invite Joe Di to team up, he still greeted him.
First, he found Joe Di agreeable enough; second, Joe Di's mastery of array techniques was renowned—this was the main reason Henry Yi valued him.
"Alright." Joe Di nodded, not the least bit concerned.
Joe Di was unimpressed by Saint Quinn Jett’s warnings. The Chaos Skyship was so vast that missing a single Supreme Ley Line shouldn’t cause a crisis. As someone who had explored Chaos for countless years, Saint Quinn Jett would surely have accounted for this; if not, he didn’t deserve to lead at Saint Seat Plaza.
All the Saint Seat Holders took their positions, and Joe Di claimed a spot beside Saint Henry Yi.
"Retrieve a Supreme Ley Line and place it in the Burn Array Rune," Saint Quinn Jett commanded. He and Saint Tyron sat at the foremost ends of the ship.
Joe Di reached out to the Portal Rune and grabbed a Supreme Ley Line, placing it into the Burn Array Rune. It vanished as if a drop of water in the ocean—no visible change at all. Clearly, the Burn Array Rune had its own space within.
In less than half a stick of incense’s time, Joe Di saw a blinding light erupt around the Chaos Skyship, and the vessel shot out at an angle.
Joe Di wanted to extend his divine sense outward to see how the Chaos Skyship entered the vast Chaos. But his divine sense was too weak—blocked immediately by the ship’s outer aura.
After only a dozen breaths, Joe Di felt the Chaos Skyship lurch and stall, as if falling into a mire and still sinking further.
Joe Di instantly understood—the ship had broken through Saint Seat Plaza and entered Chaos. Back then, he, Ye Mo, and Ning Cheng had risked their lives to enter Chaos, even self-destructing several Creation artifacts for protection. Now, Saint Quinn Jett’s ship had charged in with ease, proving just how formidable these Saint Seat Holders were.
That sluggish, sinking sensation faded quickly. Joe Di could now sense the ship speeding forward. Light on both sides formed an arrowhead—just as Saint Quinn Jett had said, burning Supreme Ley Lines truly could pierce through Chaos.
Unfortunately, Joe Di’s divine sense still couldn’t penetrate the exterior. If he could, he’d have to see whether Chaos restored itself after the ship passed through.
Joe Di guessed that Chaos would restore itself ninety-nine percent of the time, but not seeing it firsthand left him curious.
Once the ship entered Chaos, all the Saint Seat Holders knew it was time to idle. The vessel sailed through the vast Chaos, powered by burning Supreme Ley Lines.
As long as the Supreme Ley Line at each station wasn’t fully consumed, everyone was left with nothing to do but sit in place. Even if they cultivated or meditated, they had to remain alert—if the Burn Array Rune ran out and wasn’t replenished in time, disaster would follow.
Many Saint Seat Holders began setting up Concealment Arrays; though idle, no one wanted their station to be exposed to others’ divine senses.
Joe Di examined the Burn Array Rune before him. Inside, there was an Array Sense Panel monitoring the burning Supreme Ley Line. From this panel, he could tell when the ley line would be exhausted.
While the others set up Concealment Arrays, Joe Di naturally wouldn’t let his own station be sensed by anyone. He began arranging his own Concealment Array as well.
For Joe Di, it wasn’t enough to set up a Concealment Array—he also planned to create an array that could automatically fetch Supreme Ley Lines and deliver them to the Burn Array Rune.
Saint Quinn Jett’s point was clear: the Chaos Skyship itself was flawless. The real danger was that once the Supreme Ley Line burned out, the ship would be swallowed by Chaos and vanish.
Joe Di had his doubts. He’d survived in Chaos before, even if only briefly, and had gained some understanding of it. In his view, unless one built a world of vitality or possessed vitality that could persist in Chaos, sooner or later Chaos would squeeze everything into oblivion.

The only difference was how long it would last. Of course, if the Chaos Skyship could hold out until the Supreme Ley Line burned out before collapsing, that would be ideal for Joe Di.
Once the Chaos Skyship truly entered Chaos, Joe Di began designing an array to automatically fetch Supreme Ley Lines and deliver them to the Burn Array Rune.
To set up this array, Joe Di needed to know how long a single Supreme Ley Line would burn.
He quickly found the answer, though it left him disappointed—a Supreme Ley Line lasted only one hour. After that, another ley line had to be added.
At this rate, even if each person contributed thirty million Supreme Ley Lines, the ship wouldn’t last many years. And that’s not counting the possibility that future ley lines might burn even faster.
Joe Di grew increasingly aware of the urgency—he had to continue deducing and construct the Three-Life Dao and the Way of Unity as soon as possible.
After the first month passed, Joe Di had set up a retrieval array. Whenever the Supreme Ley Line in the Burn Array Rune was exhausted, the array would automatically fetch a new ley line and deliver it.
Joe Di tested it repeatedly—no issues at all. Though he’d lagged behind others by a month, he finally freed up his own time.
Joe Di thought other Saint Seat Holders had beast pets or enslaved cultivators to help them, while he relied on arrays. In truth, he misunderstood the Saint Seat Holders.
Every Saint Seat Holder had endured the vast tribulation, so their universes contained no living beings—unless they constructed a new cosmic world from scratch.
Joe Di entered deep seclusion once again. This time, instead of rushing to build the Three-Life Dao and Way of Unity, he organized the insights he’d gained over millennia of Dao debates, seeking possible points of fusion among these Dao paths.
Time passed slowly. Since the Chaos Skyship had only just entered Chaos, no Saint Seat Holders came out to trade. The entire vessel fell into silence—if not for the Supreme Ley Lines burning at its perimeter, it would have seemed utterly lifeless.
(That’s all for today’s update—good night, friends!)
