Simply visualizing the Jade Citadel Orb is not enough to pass God-Queen Langwo's test; one must transform it from illusion to reality, making its mountains, rivers, trees, runes, buildings, and ancient gods all manifest in meticulous detail, and turn them into true physical entities.
This is where a Creator's divine sense is tested most rigorously.
If Quinn Shepherd hadn’t sealed those nine Creators, and they kept interfering, he wouldn’t have been able to visualize the Jade Citadel Orb at all, let alone turn illusion into reality.
But now, he had ample time.
Quinn sat at the center of the Jade Citadel Orb, his divine sense pouring out endlessly, as if thousands of invisible painters wielded unseen brushes, sketching and creating a world within the orb—making it more and more real.
After an unknown amount of time, he finally withdrew his divine sense, stopped visualizing, and stepped out from within the Jade Citadel Orb, returning to the altar.
Many Creators crowded forward to examine it closely. Shaw Chung inspected it most carefully, finding that Quinn’s visualized Jade Citadel Orb was much smaller than the Shaw clan’s saint-relic, yet flawless in every respect—except that the ancient gods inside Quinn’s Jade Capital City differed somewhat from those in the original relic.
Shaw Chung laughed and said, “The Saint Baby is worthy of the title—this level of creation already places you among the top Creators, even if your divine sense is a bit lacking. As for these gods and demons’ forms, they’re a little off, but that’s just a matter of limited knowledge—not your fault, Saint Baby…”
He had just finished speaking when, suddenly, the ancient gods inside the Jade Citadel Orb began to move—each one’s actions and expressions were distinct, and the Dao‑runes on their bodies were all different!
Not only that, but all 256 ancient gods were each chanting a different Dao-language—256 distinct tongues mingling together, forming a vast Dao-sound that echoed from the orb, solemn and sacred!
As the Dao-sound reverberated, every rune, texture, sun, moon, mountain, river, lake, and sea within the Jade Citadel Orb shone with light; it seemed to gather the power of many heavens, emitting an astonishing pulse.
All the clan chiefs were startled and hurriedly stepped back.
The light shining from Quinn's visualized Jade Citadel Orb projected across a thousand feet, casting the orb's rune patterns outward to form another, equally vast Jade Citadel Orb in the space beyond.
Only, the one inside was solid, while the one outside was an illusion.
Yet the runic structures within the illusory orb also possessed power: the sun, moon, mountains, rivers, lakes, and seas kept condensing, becoming ever more real; Jade Capital City emerged, with all kinds of divine demons standing tall, their mouths echoing with different Dao-languages.
Buzz—
The illusory Jade Citadel Orb trembled, light bursting forth, and a third, even larger Jade Citadel Orb formed beyond the two previous orbs.
Everyone around the altar was enveloped within it, gazing in fascination at the third heaven formed by this second projection.
Buzz—
The third heaven projected again, forming a fourth, then a fifth, and a sixth heaven.
After the Jade Citadel Orb formed the sixth heaven, its projected illusion grew increasingly dim and could not project a seventh time.
Quinn stood on the altar, the third divine eye at his brow slowly closing. The layers of heavens gradually faded away, and finally, the Jade Citadel Orb shrank to a bead the size of a fingertip, landing in his palm.
“Shaw Chung, can your Shaw clan’s saint-relic do this as well?” asked Can‑Lady, the Zi‑Li clan chief.
Shaw Chung looked confused, shook his head, and said, “No, it can’t.”
Quinn handed him the Jade Citadel Orb he had visualized, saying, “The ancient gods you visualize are missing some runes, so you can’t project a second heaven. I added them for you. As long as your divine sense is strong enough, the second heaven projected from the Jade Citadel Orb can also become real. My divine sense isn’t strong, so I could only project up to the sixth heaven. The Shaw clan is incredible—the power contained in this Jade Citadel Orb is astonishing!”
He couldn’t help but marvel, saying, “If I didn’t have deep skills in art, forging, the arts, and numerology, I really might not have been able to visualize it! The Shaw clan is truly remarkable!”
Shaw Chung carefully picked up the Jade Citadel Orb Quinn had visualized, utterly bewildered: “The Jade Citadel Orb our Shaw clan visualizes doesn’t have this function…”
He quickly asked, “If you add the ancient god runes, can it project infinitely?”
Quinn shook his head and said, “When I was visualizing just now, because time was short, I only calculated up to the eighteenth decimal void place. That means the Jade Citadel Orb can project eighteen heavens. After that, due to insufficient numerology, the error in the projections grows, and the heavens projected afterwards lose their power.”
Shaw Chung was stunned. “Numerology?”
Quinn nodded. “Numerology. When Creators visualize simple things, like mirrors, numerology isn’t needed. But for complex things, like rune structures, numerology is required. If I only used numerology, I couldn’t forge a perfectly round sphere, but visualization combined with numerology lets the precision of the forged object increase by several orders of magnitude. If the precision is high enough and the divine sense strong enough, you can project infinitely!”
Shaw Chung was still a bit confused.
Quinn sighed helplessly and shook his head in disappointment; these Creators didn’t understand numerology.
Creators have almost no need for numerology, since they can visualize perfect mirrors and textures, so they never developed numerology.
However, visualization isn’t omnipotent; when it comes to detailed structures, numerology is needed to supplement visualization.
God-Queen Langwo smiled and said, “Since you’ve passed the first trial, we’ll proceed to the second: a test of the flesh. This trial is simple, just physical combat—no divine sense, only the body.”
Another nine Creators stepped forward, their bodies towering like mountains.
Quinn felt apprehensive, glanced at Shaw Chung, and whispered, “Is it safe?”
Shaw Chung responded confidently, “For the Saint Baby, it’s perfectly safe!”
Quinn glanced at Shu Jun, who was brimming with pride, and shouted, “Use the body-forging divine sense art I taught you! You’ll have them rolling on the ground!”
