Evan Yang smiled, "That's right, your guess is spot on."
"Kid, I have no idea what tricks you used, but you found the Divine Avatar so easily." The creature was shocked by Evan's methods and muttered this.
"That's what you call a lightning-fast move," Evan replied with a grin.
"Then I want to see if you can gather all five Divine Avatars," the creature said suspiciously.
Evan Yang smiled again. "As long as there are enough Divine Avatars here, I can find them all."
"You're pretty confident, I like it. Come on, I'll take you to the strongest, fiercest place for wind," the creature laughed.
Then the creature led Evan Yang to a small planet. The moment he landed, Evan felt his weight soar—the planet was small, but its gravity was much stronger than usual.
"Whew, so this place is like that," Evan said.
"I've brought you here. The rest of the way is up to you. If you need anything, just call me," the creature laughed, then vanished in a flash.
Evan Yang nodded, then looked at the scene ahead. The ground was cracked, wind swirled everywhere for no reason, spinning and lifting chunks of earth before dropping them again. Evan could clearly sense the wind's direction and its final destination throughout the whole process.
"That should be it." Evan Yang said with a smile after spotting a mound of earth.
Arriving beside the mound, Evan checked it and found that wind kept drifting out from underneath.
Evan Yang used his wind attribute to sense the area, checking for any resonance. Just like before, he got a reaction: "It's down below."
Seeing that it was below, Evan dove in, entering underneath. There was a cave, and inside a powerful wind was spinning, as if it could shred Evan to pieces.
Startled, Evan quickly clasped his hands and said solemnly, "I am Evan Yang. I greet the Wind Divine Avatar."
The wind stopped turning. Sensing a familiar aura from Evan, it asked, "Who are you, and why do you carry a familiar aura?"
"Because you are the Wind Avatar, and I cultivate the wind attribute. I need your help—I need to gather all five God-Avatar Souls," Evan said.
"Gather all five God-Avatar Souls? Why?" the Divine Avatar asked suspiciously.
"Because only then will you have memories. Once your memories are restored, you'll know who I am and why I'm here," Evan replied.
The Wind Avatar, having been here for years, was curious after hearing this. "Is that really possible?"
"That's right, so please join me," Evan Yang said.
"Then I want to see what it's like after the memories are restored." The Wind Avatar's God-Avatar Soul transformed and entered Evan's body.
At this point, Evan had already collected three Divine Avatars. In his heart, all three God-Avatar Souls were kind and held no malice toward him, just as he had hoped. So he planned to keep gathering the last two souls, making things much easier.
So Evan used his earth attribute again, asking the creature to show him the place with the strongest earth power. There, Evan also persuaded the Earth Avatar's God-Avatar Soul, completing the first four smoothly. Only the fifth remained to be found.
For the fifth, Evan planned to use lightning. But to find the Lightning Avatar, he had to cross a dangerous region—the creature had warned him about this.
When Evan asked why, the answer was that the Lightning Avatar's Divine form had an important duty: generating lightning for the entire Divine Saint Star, creating the electric net around it.
"It's in the east of this plane, in a place called the Ling Void Expanse. The exact location is unclear," the Lightning Avatar said.
"Is it really that intense?" Evan asked suspiciously.
"It is, so be careful," the creature replied.
Evan Yang nodded, steadied himself, and looked ahead at the void. He walked forward step by step, and as soon as he entered, a powerful current tried to pierce him—crackling fiercely.
Those powerful currents struck Evan Yang, but instantly vanished without a trace.
"It's possible, but our resurrection is tied directly to the Plane Lord's awakening. Our true bodies' power is what holds him down—you know how power balances power. If he breaks free, it means our true bodies have lost their strength. Or, if we revive, we'd have to leave the crystal coffin, and then he'd inevitably escape. No one could stop him, not even the Gods themselves," the Lightning Avatar explained gravely.
By now, Evan had slowly reached the center of the void. The closer he got, the stronger the currents became. Several times, he smelled burning—his clothes were getting singed.
"Ugh, that burnt smell is nasty," Evan muttered to himself.
But Evan didn't give up. He kept moving forward, until finally a figure formed of lightning appeared before him.
"Who goes there? How dare you trespass in this forbidden zone!" the Lightning Avatar shouted.
"I'm Evan Yang. I've come here to unlock your memories—there are things I need your help with," Evan said.
"Unlock our memories?" The Lightning Avatar's God-Avatar Soul was half-skeptical.
"That's right, to unlock your memories," Evan replied. Then he released the other four God-Avatar Souls. All five gathered together, looking at each other, unsure what method Evan would use to restore their memories.
Evan didn't know either—he could only rely on the creature now. He looked up and said, "It's your turn to act."
"Kid, not bad—you actually managed to gather all five God-Avatar Souls," the creature said.
"Of course. Let's get started," Evan Yang replied.
The creature laughed, "It's simple. Just have them overlap with each other, and they'll gradually recover some memories. Those fragments will definitely be useful to you."
Following the creature's instructions, Evan persuaded the five God-Avatar Souls. They gathered together as he directed, and soon their minds began to fill with new things.
The Lightning Avatar's God-Avatar Soul was the first to gasp, "So that's how it is." The other Avatars also sensed something, and quickly understood many things.
Seeing their enlightened expressions, Evan Yang smiled. "How does it feel?"
"Wow, you've actually gathered so many divine inheritance items!" the Lightning Avatar exclaimed.
The other Divine Avatars also looked at Evan with curiosity. Seeing their expressions, Evan knew they must have learned something, so he smiled, "Hello everyone, I'm Evan Yang. I'm from—" "You're from our original world, we all know that. Also, your lightning inheritance is fully unsealed, while the others are either still sealed or only partially unsealed," the Lightning Avatar said.
Evan was surprised. "How do you know that?"
"Each inheritance item is alive. It told us," the Lightning Avatar replied.
"I see. Then I won't say more. Now, I have something to ask of you all," Evan Yang said.
The Lightning Avatar asked curiously, "What is it? You overcame so many obstacles to reach us."
"The Plane Lord—I want to know where he is," Evan Yang said.
"Why?" the Lightning Avatar asked suspiciously.
"Because he's about to awaken early. There aren't many Divine Avatars left, and it's nothing like the era when they were at their peak and could resist him. I have to destroy him before he emerges, or he'll bring disaster," Evan explained.
The Lightning Avatar and the other Divine Avatars looked terrified, unable to believe what they were hearing.
If that happened, their old planes would be destroyed, and all their efforts hiding in this plane would be wasted.
"Actually, we don't know the Plane Lord's exact location, but if we cast a spell together, we can sense his general whereabouts. This is the aura left from our battle with him years ago," the Lightning Avatar said.
"As long as I know the general location, I'll search for him myself," Evan Yang said.
The Lightning Avatar said, "Alright, since you're here to stop him, although we can't leave the Divine Saint Star, we can give you some help."
"Thank you," Evan Yang said.
Now that the five Divine Avatars understood the situation, they needed to cast a spell to locate the Plane Lord and stop him, or the consequences would be dire.
So the five Divine Avatars sat cross-legged in the void. A giant scene appeared before them—a vision of a dark place, with a crystal coffin inside. No one knew what was within.
But Evan guessed the Plane Lord must be inside, since various attributes were suppressing whatever was within.
"Found it," the Lightning Avatar said.
"Yes, I see it. Where is this place?" Evan asked.
"It's in the east of this plane, in a place called the Spirit Void Realm. The exact location is unclear," the Lightning Avatar said.
Evan Yang smiled. "That's fine, at least I know where to start."
"It's all up to you now. We Divine Avatars can't help much—you'll have to rely on yourself," the Lightning Avatar said.
After thinking for a moment, Evan asked, "Is it possible for any of you Divine Avatars to be resurrected?"
At Evan's question, the Avatars fell silent. Seeing this, Evan asked curiously, "What's wrong?"
"It's possible, but our resurrection would mean the Plane Lord's resurrection too. Our true bodies' power is suppressing him—you should know that power is mutually linked. If he breaks free, it means our true bodies have no power left. Or if we revive, we'd have to leave the crystal coffin, and then he'd naturally emerge. No one could stop him, not even the Divine Avatars," the Lightning Avatar explained.
Of course, Evan understood what the Lightning Avatar meant. Otherwise, so many Divine Avatars wouldn't have ended up here, taking root in this place.
"Understood," Evan said, realizing the Avatars were prepared to perish alongside the Plane Lord.
"Be careful," the Lightning Avatar told Evan.
Evan Yang nodded slightly and said, "You all be careful too."
