On the other side, Evan had just reappeared when sixteen Soul-Pattern Pillars came crashing down from above! The Soul Ambers hadn't left in months—they'd been guarding this spot the whole time. As soon as Evan showed up, they surged forward!
"Hmph! I thought you'd keep hiding forever, but now you're dead for sure!"
A thunderous roar shook Evan to his very soul, nearly making him lose focus. But soon, the Laws of Wind and Thunder spun into action—the soul tempered by thunder was truly extraordinary. The shockwaves quickly faded, and Evan adapted to the terrifying pressure.
"Huh? You actually withstood it? Suppress him!"
"Ha! You must be the Geocore Soul Mother, right? Well, I'm afraid you're in for a disappointment—now, I don't fear any so-called soul attack secret arts!"
Evan stared at the massive, eagle-shaped soul body before him and shouted.
"Sevenfold Wind-Thunder Cleave!"
After perfecting his control over Wind and Thunder and mastering their Laws, Evan could now condense both powers into tangible force inside his body.
He fused them freely into his Sevenfold Cleave. Not only did this double the attack's power, it also dealt devastating damage to soul bodies!
Sure enough, the storm-gale and thunder detonated the surrounding space. Just the aftershock from Sevenfold Wind-Thunder Cleave destroyed over a thousand Soul Springs and erased countless soul wisps.
