Seeking Justice

Su Li's house.

It was already evening. Mrs. Sun was collapsed in her elder sister-in-law Mrs. Zhang's arms, crying her heart out with snot and tears. Mrs. Sun's three brothers, who had come to get vegetables in the morning, upon hearing that Su Lanxiang was missing, couldn't even attend to their business and joined the search with everyone else.

"Lanxiang, my precious! If we can't find you, I won't be able to live!" Mrs. Sun cried bitterly, while Mrs. Wang and Mrs. Chen wiped their tears alongside her.

Su Li remained relatively calm, occasionally receiving updates from people about the latest progress in the search.

Suddenly, the curtain was lifted, and Yuanbao walked in.

"Yuanbao, you finally came back! How did it go with you and Tudan's search?" Su Li hurriedly went up and held Yuanbao's hand.

Yuanbao reached out and touched Su Li's extremely anxious face: "Tudan and I went into the deep mountains but didn't find anyone. However, on our way back, we heard that the Qingmiao City government cracked a big case today, destroying a human trafficking den and rescuing many people."

"Really? Maybe Lanxiang has already been rescued by the government!" Su Li turned to Mrs. Sun and said.

Xiao Yun lifted the curtain and entered the room, stomping his feet to shake off the snow from his shoes. Just then, Qingmu shouted outside, "The officials are here, bringing Lanxiang back!"

Hearing this, the people at Su Li's house immediately rushed out in a flurry.

A team of officials arrived in the village, led by the one escorting Su Lanxiang. As they walked, villagers who heard that Su Lanxiang was found came out to watch the commotion.

The captain, dressed as a secret guard, explained to the villagers from the moment they entered the village how they destroyed the den and rescued the people.

Everyone learned that Su Lanxiang had been sold to a human trafficking den in the early morning, but was spotted by patrolling officials on the way. The officials immediately stormed in, rescued Su Lanxiang, captured the traffickers, and saved many others, all of whom were now being sent home.

Normally, for a girl as proper-looking as Su Lanxiang, being abducted and sold would cause suspicion and damage to her reputation even if she was found.

But hearing the captain's explanation that Su Lanxiang was rescued immediately upon being sent in, without ever entering the traffickers' den,

This means Su Lanxiang was not violated and is still a pure young girl.

The captain explained all this as the villagers said Su Lanxiang was truly blessed by the Bodhisattva and very lucky.

"Lanxiang, my daughter!" Mrs. Sun cried as she hugged Su Lanxiang tightly.

"Mother!" Su Lanxiang sobbed, clutching Mrs. Sun, still shaken.

"Lanxiang, my daughter, tell me, which damn scoundrel abducted you? I will tear that dog-bred to pieces!" Mrs. Sun's eyes turned red with anger.

Su Lanxiang cried loudly, saying, "It was my eldest uncle who said he would give me a baby, tricked me into opening the door, then covered my mouth and abducted me. Then my grandfather, Shimao brother, and my eldest uncle knocked me unconscious, put me in a sack, and took me to the city to sell!"

When Su Lanxiang said this, all the villagers who had been relieved to find her were stunned.

No one ever dreamed that it was Su Lanxiang's own family who sold her off!

The villagers were first dumbfounded, then shocked, and finally their feelings turned into anger.

"Damn those Su family members! They sold their own granddaughter and even deliberately lied to us, saying kidnappers took her into the mountains to mislead us. Damn it, we can't let them off!"

The villagers' burning anger flared up in their chests as they spontaneously marched toward the Su family to demand justice.
