Those Who Grasp the Law of Space

12/19/2025

A thousand Liberty Points equaled ten thousand Immortal Crystals. Joe Di was not lacking in Liberty Points, but his patience had its limits. Offering a thousand Immortal Crystals was no better than tossing coins to a beggar. Since the other party demanded Liberty Points even after he offered the crystals, it was clear that even if he handed over a thousand Liberty Points, this matter would not be resolved.

"Today, whether you want to or not, you must pay. Crescent Trade Tower always conducts business fairly, and we do not fear anyone's arrogance." The female cultivator stared at Joe Di with disdain.

Joe Di's cultivation was, at most, that of a Grand Ether Immortal—a mere wandering cultivator at that. Now, locked inside the shop by two Grand Celestial experts, he still dared to act so brazenly.

With a flick of his hand, the Azure Veil Blade landed in Joe Di's palm. The Grand Celestial domain surged forth, crushing everything in its path, as he slashed out with a single stroke. Since a fight was inevitable, there was nothing more to say.

The violent force of the blade instantly filled the entire Crescent Trade Tower. As the female cultivator sensed the crushing aura of death approaching, her face turned pale with terror. No matter how she struggled, she could not break free from the domain of this Grand Ether Immortal she had once considered an insignificant ant.

A streak of azure blade light tore downward. Suddenly, she remembered, "You are the wanted Joe Di..."

Joe Di's blade had long been known throughout the realm. That very strike once forced back a fifth-level Immortal Emperor. As a merchant of Moon Ruins, she was naturally aware of this. Every shop in Moon Ruins displayed a wanted notice for Joe Di.

She never expected that today, she would try to extort the infamous Joe Di—and that he would come to their Crescent Trade Tower. This was a man who dared defy Emperor Leon Yue and escape the pursuit of several Immortal Emperors from the Grand Cauldron Liberty Immortal City. In his eyes, the Crescent Trade Tower was truly insignificant.

"Splurt!" A spray of blood erupted—the female cultivator had no chance to resist before Joe Di's Azure Veil Blade tore her apart.

Whether she regretted it or not, it was already too late for her to think about anything.

Almost at the exact moment Joe Di made his move, the two Grand Celestials also charged at him. Yet Joe Di's overwhelming domain kept them from advancing even an inch. By the time he struck down the female cultivator, the two realized they had kicked an iron plate.

Joe Di didn't give them a chance to make their next move. With a sweep of the Azure Veil Blade, two arcs of blade light rolled forth, trapping the pair within.

One was an early-stage Grand Celestial, the other mid-stage—both of average talent, their cultivation forced through with pills. Otherwise, they wouldn't be left guarding a shop. Under the pressure of Joe Di's blade force, their first thought wasn't to resist, but to escape this place as quickly as possible.

It wasn't just because they heard the female cultivator's words. Even if they hadn't, Joe Di's blade was too infamous—they couldn't not know. Though it was only a single strike, that blade had once forced back a fifth-level Immortal Emperor.

A blade light, vast as the sky itself, exploded forth. The two Grand Celestials barely broke free from Joe Di's blade domain, only to be reduced to wandering souls beneath his Azure Veil Blade.

A surge of pride welled up in Joe Di's heart. He knew these two Grand Celestials were trash, their divine sense at best fourth-level. But the fact that his domain could lock them down, leaving them no means of escape, told him his strength could now barely contend with an average Immortal King.

If he could grasp the law of time, or even fuse the Great Footprint technique into his Azure Veil Blade style, he wouldn't need to reach Immortal Emperor level—he could return to Grand Cauldron Liberty Immortal City and reclaim his honor.

Joe Di gathered up several rings, and as for everything on the shelves, he swept them all away.

No one would have imagined someone daring to rob a shop in the Moon Ruins Plaza. Yet Joe Di swept away everything in the shop, even breaking open the forbidden compartments behind the shelves—still, no one came out to stop him.

With the loot in hand, Joe Di knew he couldn't linger in Moon Ruins Plaza even for a moment longer. Without hesitation, he sent a blaze to reduce the corpses to ashes, then with another slash, turned everything in the shop to dust.

A man in the Grand Celestial realm, bound by restrictive seals, appeared before Joe Di. He was dressed as a starry sky wanderer—a cultivator who roamed the cosmos.

He stared at Joe Di, who held the Azure Veil Blade, astonished—unable to fathom why Joe Di dared draw his weapon here.

Joe Di stowed away the Azure Veil Blade and tossed two array flags at the cultivator, instantly breaking the seals that bound him.

"Thank you for your help, friend. But this is Crescent—"

Before he could finish, the shop front of Crescent Trade Tower was blasted open. A wild halberd shadow swept toward Joe Di.

Joe Di lifted his foot and stamped out a Great Footprint. Though the halberd shadow had been unleashed first, beneath Joe Di's technique, it seemed to slow by countless times.

Joe Di's Great Footprint struck the cultivator's dantian. As the man spat a blood arrow and was sent flying, the halberd shadow was still a great distance from Joe Di.

After sending the cultivator flying, Joe Di turned to the man he had just rescued. "I'm leaving first. You'd best run for your life as well."

With that, Joe Di vanished in a flash of divine sense, heading straight for the entrance of Moon Ruins Gate.

"Impressive," the wanderer exclaimed, then quickly followed, darting into the entrance of Moon Ruins Gate.

No sooner had the two left than several figures descended at the entrance of Crescent Trade Tower.

What greeted them was the ruined Crescent Trade Tower—and a half-step Immortal King whose dantian had been shattered by Joe Di's Great Footprint.

"Who did this?" An Immortal King landed before the half-step Immortal King, his tone icy.

The half-step Immortal King, his dantian shattered by Joe Di, could only mutter, "It was the law of space... the law of space..."

.......

Since the establishment of the Moon Ruins Plaza, such a brazen incident hadn't occurred in ages.

Someone had robbed Crescent Trade Tower. Not only that, but two Grand Celestials and one Grand Celestial steward had been killed, and a half-step Immortal King crippled.

But every monitoring array inside Crescent Trade Tower had been destroyed. No one knew how powerful the perpetrator was. Judging by the fact that he sent a half-step Immortal King flying with a single kick, his cultivation should be at early Immortal King at least.

Crescent Trade Tower is the property of the Crescent Chamber of Commerce on Aurora Immortal Continent. Though not one of the three major guilds, Crescent is a prominent name. With this incident, even an Immortal Emperor from Aurora Chamber of Commerce personally arrived outside Moon Ruins Plaza.

"Are you certain it was the law of space?" The Immortal Emperor from Crescent Trade Tower stared coldly at the half-step Immortal King, whose dantian had been destroyed.

The half-step Immortal King had finally regained his senses. He knelt on the ground, trembling as he replied, "Elder Leap, I'm sure that kick contained the law of space. Absolutely sure..."

......

Joe Di had entered Moon Ruins, and his wanted notice was posted in the plaza. Any cultivator who discovered his whereabouts would receive a massive reward.

Not only that, but outside Moon Ruins, two Immortal Kings stood guard year-round, waiting for Joe Di to emerge.

Those cultivators who understood why Joe Di robbed Crescent Trade Tower all sighed in secret—this outsider truly had no sense. Even if you couldn't hold back and had to rob the shop, you shouldn't have entered Moon Ruins. The void is vast; you could escape anywhere.

The laws within Moon Ruins are chaotic; you absolutely can't stay too long. The moment you come out, Crescent Trade Tower will be lying in wait.

......

Of course, Joe Di knew that after destroying a shop in Moon Ruins, the best course was to flee as far as possible. But deep down, he understood that running wasn't a real solution.

Even though the teleportation arrays to Great Cauldron Liberty Immortal City and the Four Immortal Continents were closed now, who knew when they'd reopen? Once they did, Starhaven City would be exposed to every powerful cultivator.

Without strength, even running is useless.

Joe Di had come to Moon Ruins in search of the law of time, so upon entering, he summoned his flying artifact. He didn't dare use the Cloudspire Spear here, instead choosing a low-grade immortal tool he'd refined himself.

"Daring to use a flying artifact in Moon Ruins?" Two cultivators stared in shock as the low-grade immortal tool flashed overhead.

Boom! Just as Joe Di was about to sort through his spoils and look for an introductory jade slip about Moon Ruins, a terrifying rending force slammed into his ship.

In desperation, Joe Di flashed aside, but even at his speed, a blade light still struck his chest, sending him crashing from the sky.

A boulder the size of a small mountain shattered beneath Joe Di's fall. Even as a body-refining cultivator with an immortal spirit body, crashing into such a stone from high above left his bones fractured.

Joe Di quickly swallowed several healing pills, his heart pounding with shock.

There was spatial dislocation above Moon Ruins. If he hadn't been lucky just now, he might have been torn in half by the distortion.

Two figures sped toward Joe Di, but he dared not linger. With a flash of spiritual sense, he escaped deeper into Moon Ruins.

Even if he wanted to ask about where Chrono Crystals might appear, he had to heal first.
