Old Spirit’s Suggestion

1/18/2026

Seeing that Divines were actually so tall, Ian Song was a bit surprised. His mind stirred, and he contacted Old Spirit in the Divine Temple, asking, "Old Spirit, are all Divines this gigantic?"

Old Spirit replied, "In the God Realm, Divines are suppressed by the realm's laws, so unless they use certain arts or powers, they usually look just like ordinary people. But this place isn't the God Realm, and there's no law suppression here. Plus, this Divine is already dead, so his body has expanded to this form!"

"So that's how it is!"

Ian nodded to himself and once again examined the Divine's corpse. No one knew how many years this Divine had been dead, but the body still looked lifelike, without the slightest sign of decay.

He was wearing a set of black armor, and aside from that, there was nothing else in the bronze coffin.

For a moment, Ian felt pretty disappointed. Was this Divine really so poor? His entire body only had a single suit of armor.

"Old Spirit, is the armor he's wearing a divine artifact?" Ian asked again.

Old Spirit answered, "Yes, but it's the crudest type of divine artifact in the God Realm—basically the mass-produced armor worn by regular soldiers. And this Divine was just a lower god, a bottom-tier figure even in the God Realm!"

Ian was speechless. He sighed, "A bottom-tier Divine gets such a massive tombstone? That's just ridiculous. I actually thought there'd be tons of treasures in here."

"That's not quite right!"

Old Spirit said, "Why not store this Divine's corpse in the Divine Temple, then bury it on one of the planets? After that, plant Immortal Medicine on that planet. Nourished by his corpse, the Immortal Medicine will be of exceptional quality!"

"Really?"

Ian was overjoyed. With a thought, he stored the Divine inside the Divine Temple.

Then he entered the Divine Temple himself, planning to bury the corpse, when he suddenly thought of something. "Old Spirit, didn't you say all Divines have a Divine Domain? Does this Divine have one inside his body?"

His immortal sense couldn't probe the condition inside the Divine's body.

Old Spirit said, "He was just a lower god, and his Divine Domain wasn't stable. He's probably been dead for millions of years, so the Divine Domain inside him has long collapsed. Only his corpse is still useful. As for the armor, it's not much use to you either—the divine crystals inside have all been used up, so its defenses can't function, and without divine crystals, the armor can't change form!"

"Oh well!"

Ian was speechless. He quickly split the ground open with a giant pit, placed the Divine's corpse inside, and then closed the pit. Next, he summoned several Golden Immortals, handed them some Immortal Medicine seeds, and told them to develop an Immortal field here and plant all the seeds.

Old Spirit suggested again, "Why not collect a few more Divine corpses and bury them here? Maybe you'll even get the chance for your Immortal field to evolve into a Divine Field and grow god-grade medicine!"

Ian's eyes lit up. He was really tempted by Old Spirit's suggestion.

With a thought, he walked out of the Divine Temple. Suddenly, his gaze fell on the bronze coffin. Could this coffin be a treasure too?

"Don't bother. This bronze coffin is just an ordinary coffin!"

Old Spirit reminded him.

Ian smiled awkwardly and left the burial chamber.

He passed through the tomb stele and returned outside, then restored the restriction.

Then he woke Hector Yang up.

"I've studied it. The restriction here is damaged, but it's still extremely hard to break! But since you brought me here, I'll keep my promise. You can go now!"

As he spoke, Ian tossed Hector Yang a thousand immortal stones.

"Thank you, sir! I take my leave!"

After kowtowing in gratitude, Hector Yang quickly departed. In a place where immortal essence was so scarce, every immortal stone was incredibly precious.

Ian ignored them, walked up to the tomb stele, and started studying its restrictions.

The restriction on this tomb stele was completely intact, formed by over twenty-three thousand linked nodes. Disturbing any one would trigger all the rest.

So even though he understood how to break these restrictions, he simply didn't have the power to do it.

There were countless Divine Tombs in this world, and some were bound to be damaged. He decided to search for another tomb instead.

Before leaving, he said to the three women, "Let me give you some advice: you'd better not dress so cleanly, or you'll become someone else's prey."

The Golden Immortal girl protested, "What about you? You're dressed cleanly too!"

Ian chuckled, "My strength is above late-stage Profound Immortal. Who would dare target me? But you—one Golden Immortal, two Earth Immortals—any random person could take you down. By the way, try to see if you can still use your immortal yuan force."

At his words, the three women instinctively tried to circulate their immortal yuan, only to be horrified to find it was frozen solid.

"You... was this your doing?"

The Golden Immortal girl pointed at Ian angrily.

Ian just smiled, not bothering to answer her accusation.

He glanced at the ruined landscape around the Divine Tomb, then turned to leave without another word.

The three women watched him go, their faces a mix of fear and uncertainty.

Ian continued searching for another Divine Tomb, hoping to find one with damaged restrictions he could exploit.

As he walked, he reviewed in his mind everything Old Spirit had told him about the Gods' Tomb World.

Old Spirit’s suggestion echoed in his thoughts: collect more Divine corpses, bury them in the Divine Temple, and cultivate Divine Fields for god-grade medicine.

Ian was strongly tempted by the idea. If he could gather enough Divine corpses, the benefits would be unimaginable.

But for now, he needed to find another tomb with a damaged restriction field.

He sped through the barren world, searching for signs of tombs or monster activity.

Occasionally, he encountered packs of Baleful Demons, but none posed the slightest threat to him.

Each time, Ian dispatched the monsters with a casual wave of his hand, collecting their cores for later use.

He kept moving, eyes scanning for the unique signs of a tomb with weakened restrictions.

The barren landscape stretched endlessly, punctuated only by scattered tombs and monster lairs.

Ian’s mind raced with plans: if he could establish even one Divine Field, it might change his cultivation path forever.

But opportunity in the Gods’ Tomb World was always mixed with danger.

He resolved to proceed cautiously, relying on his Primordial Chaos Body and the Divine Temple’s protection.

After hours of searching, Ian finally spotted a tomb with visible cracks in its restriction field.

He approached, senses alert for any hidden threats.

This time, no Baleful Demons appeared to block his way.

Ian began analyzing the restriction patterns, matching them to the techniques he’d learned in the Divine Temple’s Library Pavilion.

He quickly identified several weak points and prepared to crack the remaining nodes one by one.

Just as he was about to begin, a faint tremor ran through the ground beneath his feet.

Ian paused, senses sharpening, ready for any unexpected danger.

A shadow flickered at the edge of his vision—a sign that something powerful was approaching.

He steadied himself, channeling Chaos Origin Force just in case.

Whatever came next, Ian was confident he could handle it.

He waited, eyes fixed on the tomb, ready to seize any opportunity that presented itself.

The chapter ends on this note, setting up Ian’s next move in the Gods’ Tomb World.
