Six-Eared Macaque

With Mother Nuwa’s promise, the Westward party suddenly found themselves no longer pressed for time.

Considering that everyone had only just recovered from the poison and their bodies were still extremely weak, Monkey finally decided to let the group stay at Blossom Mountain for a few days to recuperate. Only after everyone had regained their strength would they head to the Women’s Kingdom and continue their journey.

As for what to do about Prince Adrian, the Little White Dragon, who was stuck in the Women’s Kingdom... That question never weighed on Monkey’s mind.

Lying on the yellow earth of the hillside, Monkey gazed leisurely at the sky. "How about I do something for you all?"

Daisy Grass frowned and asked, "Do what, exactly?"

"Something that a Great Sage ought to do," Monkey replied, leaping to his feet.

Half a day later, he returned with a mountain of food, various elixirs, weapons, armor, clothes...

Faced with the towering pile of goods, everyone at Blossom Mountain was stunned—even the sickly Tripitaka.

"Where did you get all this?"

"Borrowed it from Old Dragon King Gavin Ao," Monkey said, digging at his ear. "Relax, this Great Sage keeps his word—I wrote IOUs. As for when I’ll pay him back... we’ll see if he ever dares to ask for it."

Marshal Silver drawled, "Does he even dare?"

"How should I know?" Monkey hopped onto a small hill, grabbed a handful of goods, and scattered them down. "All of you, these are yours!"

"Long live the Great Sage!"

All the little demons cheered, and for a moment, the entire Blossom Mountain came alive.

Daisy Grass covered her mouth and laughed from the side.

Little Seven sighed wistfully, "If only the Great Sage could stay and never leave."

Before he could finish, Monkey had already grabbed a brush and written out two IOUs, stuffing them into Little Seven’s hands. "That’s twenty million units of refined metal. Take it—if you ever need anything, just go to the Dragon Palace and claim it. Uh... remember to ask for change."

Little Seven stared blankly at the IOUs in his hand, imagining himself standing before Old Dragon King Gavin Ao, asking for change on twenty million units of refined metal—and wondered what kind of expression the Dragon King would have.

Daisy Grass giggled nonstop from the side. "Great Sage, you’re going to corrupt Little Seven at this rate."

"I only regret not corrupting him sooner. If I had, you all wouldn’t have ended up in such dire straits."
