Betrayal, Do You Really Want to Kill Me

2/14/2026

Suppressing the disgust in his heart, Prince Nolan Dongling grabbed Bella Qin and dragged her in front of Storm Cloud Bu.

"Ninth Royal Uncle, it hurts... Can you loosen your grip, please?" Bella Qin was deeply uneasy. She wanted to escape, but under Prince Nolan's oppressive presence, there was nowhere to run.

"Hmph..." Prince Nolan snorted coldly, flinging her toward Storm Cloud Bu, then turned to take the dagger from Vincent Su's hand.

Even in death, Vincent Su still gripped the dagger tightly, his face unafraid.

Prince Nolan's eyes reddened with grief.

He had no regrets... Only hated himself for failing to save Vincent Su.

Holding the dagger, Prince Nolan did not hand it to Bella Qin. Instead, he walked a few steps farther, picked up a heavy blade from the ground, and tossed it at her feet.

"Ninth Royal Uncle, what are you going to do?" Bella Qin's face turned pale with fright, trembling uncontrollably.

Prince Nolan couldn't even be bothered to look at her, his voice icy: "Kill Storm Cloud Bu, and I will marry you."

"Ninth Royal Uncle..." Storm Cloud Bu cried out in shock, while Sean Xuan merely glanced up and gave a mocking smile.

Up till now, Prince Nolan's behavior had been acceptable, so Sean Xuan hadn't interrupted.

"Ninth Royal Uncle, I... I can't do it." Bella Qin trembled all over like a frightened rabbit, shaking her head repeatedly. "Ninth Royal Uncle, aren't you and Storm Cloud Bu good friends? Why do you want to kill him? If he did something wrong, you can just punish him."

"Did something wrong? He caused the destruction of the Su Clan, caused Vincent Su's death. Tell me, does he deserve to die or not?" Prince Nolan stared at Storm Cloud Bu, his icy gaze like a blade. Storm Cloud Bu's lips trembled, but he couldn't say a word.

"Ninth Royal Uncle..." With a thud, Storm Cloud Bu dropped to his knees before Prince Nolan. "Just kill me."

Prince Nolan ignored him and spoke directly to Bella Qin: "Bella Qin, I’ll give you one more chance. Kill Storm Cloud Bu, and I’ll marry you. If not, leave with him and never appear before me again."

"Ninth Royal Uncle, please... don't force me." Bella Qin was completely dazed, unable to understand how things had come to this. "Ninth Royal Uncle, you promised my father and mother you’d marry me, take care of me for life. You can't treat me like this."

"I did promise Master I’d marry you. But if you die unexpectedly, do you think I’d still need to marry you?" Prince Nolan looked at Bella Qin with disgust. "If it weren’t for Master’s sake, do you think I’d even spare you a glance? Bella Qin, do you know why Storm Cloud Bu caused Vincent’s death?"

"Why?" Bella Qin stared blankly at Prince Nolan. For the first time, she felt her Ninth Royal Uncle was a stranger. She wanted to say this man wasn’t her Ninth Royal Uncle—their words and tone were nothing alike—but the presence of Storm Cloud Bu and Vincent Su made her realize it was real.

"Because of you. Because you were kidnapped, he betrayed his brothers and got them killed." When Prince Nolan finished, Storm Cloud Bu didn’t defend himself. He just knelt before Prince Nolan like a dead dog.

At this moment, all the regret in the world couldn’t bring Vincent Su back to life.

"No, that's impossible. Storm Cloud Bu would never do that." Bella Qin covered her ears, refusing to accept any news that would hurt her, desperately escaping a reality she couldn't face.

Useless woman.

Prince Nolan made no effort to hide his disdain: "Bella Qin, Vincent Su died because of you, indirectly. I will never marry the woman who got Vincent killed. For Master’s sake, I’m giving you one last chance—kill Storm Cloud Bu, and I’ll marry you."

Prince Nolan was a demon, dragging Bella Qin into madness and driving Storm Cloud Bu insane.

Bella Qin shivered with bone-deep cold at his words. She looked at Prince Nolan, then at Storm Cloud Bu, and finally at the blade before her. Huge tears fell, her face blank with confusion...

"Ninth Royal Uncle, if you want to blame someone, blame me alone. Don't hurt Bella, she knows nothing." Storm Cloud Bu couldn't bear to see Bella Qin's pain and confusion, turning his face away. But before he finished, he heard Bella's trembling, choked voice: "Ninth Royal Uncle, is it really true? If I kill Storm Cloud Bu, you'll marry me?"

"Yes." Prince Nolan answered crisply, giving Bella Qin all the confidence she needed.

"Bella..." Storm Cloud Bu stared at her in shock, his mouth agape, unable to close it.

Did he just mishear her?

"Storm Cloud Bu, I'm sorry..." Bella Qin's face was covered in tears as her trembling hands reached for the heavy blade. When she gripped the hilt, she broke down sobbing.

The blade was heavy. Bella Qin had never lifted anything so weighty in her life. Using all her strength, she managed to pick it up and staggered toward Storm Cloud Bu.

Meeting Storm Cloud Bu’s shocked and wounded gaze, Bella Qin cried even harder: "Storm Cloud Bu, I really, really like Ninth Royal Uncle. I’ve always dreamed of being his wife."

"So you can kill me for that?" Storm Cloud Bu’s heart shattered, filling him with deeper regret.

He realized he’d never truly seen Bella Qin for who she was. The kind, innocent girl he thought he knew was willing to kill him just to marry Ninth Royal Uncle.

Was his life really worth so little?

"Storm Cloud Bu, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, please forgive me. I have no choice." Bella Qin sobbed bitterly, driven mad by Prince Nolan’s ultimatum.

She didn’t want to kill Storm Cloud Bu at all, but she truly, desperately wanted to marry Ninth Royal Uncle. She’d waited for that day so long, for so many years.

"Forgive you? How am I supposed to forgive you? For you, I betrayed Ninth Royal Uncle, got my best brother killed—how am I supposed to forgive you? Bella Qin, do you know, the whole Su Clan died because of you. Because of you, the three of us brothers ended up like this." The more Storm Cloud Bu loved Bella Qin, the deeper his regret and hatred now.

"I must have been blind to fall for a woman like you." He was filled with regret—so much regret. "Vincent, Ninth Royal Uncle, I’m sorry. I’m sorry—I was blind, mistook fish eyes for pearls."

"No, it wasn’t me. It has nothing to do with me—the one who betrayed Ninth Royal Uncle was you, not me, not me!" Bella Qin was terrified that Prince Nolan would believe Storm Cloud Bu and think she’d killed Vincent Su. In a frenzy, she raised the blade and hacked at Storm Cloud Bu: "I didn’t—I didn’t kill Vincent. It was you... you!"

"You really mean to kill me." Storm Cloud Bu didn’t dodge or resist, letting Bella Qin’s blade strike his shoulder. Her strength was limited—the blow only made him bleed a little, but the pain left him gasping for breath.

He finally saw Bella Qin’s true nature.

"You betrayed Ninth Royal Uncle—you deserve to die." Bella Qin raised the blade again, this time aiming for Storm Cloud Bu’s neck...
