The Person She Cares About Most

"How do we threaten her?" Jun Lionhead asked.

"Kidnap the person she cares about most. She'll definitely hand it over then," Nina Sanders replied, certain this method always works.

"The person she cares about most... Who is it?" Jun Lionhead asked.

"Well... I don't know her that well. Divine Lord, you probably know her best, right?"

"Just on the surface," Jun Lionhead replied. "If anyone could make her hand over the Ten Wilds Herbal Codex, I really wouldn't know who."

"Then..."

"Let's wait until she gets here. I'll ask her myself," Jun Lionhead said.

Guess I'm pretty useless, huh.

Jun Lionhead waved his hand, signaling it wasn't his concern.

......

Grace received a message from Jun Lionhead, saying he wanted her to make Iced Purple Plum Soup, and asked her to come to Full Moon Manor.

Grace went over right away.

As soon as she landed, she called out, "Master! Your disciple is here!"

Jun Lionhead walked out of the house, smiling, "So fast?"

"When Master calls, of course your disciple comes right away!"

Jun Lionhead smiled faintly and said nothing.

Having such a disciple is really quite nice.

Grace made the Iced Purple Plum Soup herself, handed it to Jun Lionhead, and said, "Master, please try it."

Jun Lionhead took it but asked, "Why isn't there any ice?"

"All the ice melted! Hehe!"

"Let me get some fresh ice!"

"Master, it's been raining these past two days, and the air is damp. The temperature of this soup is just right for you. If I add more ice, it'll be too cold!"

Jun Lionhead took a sip and found the taste was indeed perfect.

Grace watched him closely, "Well? Isn't it just right?"

"Mm." Jun Lionhead nodded. "It's perfect."

"Master, you got hurt practicing before, so your stomach meridian isn't well. You have to watch your diet and not hurt it again!"

"How did you know I was injured?" Jun Lionhead wondered, since Grace had never checked his pulse.

"Of course, you told me yourself!"

Jun Lionhead paused for a moment and said, "Someone asked me a few days ago who was the most important person to me—the kind of person you'd give up something precious for. I'm alone in this world, and I couldn't answer."

"Oh..." Grace nodded seriously, "That's why you should get married and have kids! Then you'll have lots of people that important to you!"

Jun Lionhead smiled, "So, do you have lots of important people in your life?"

"Yeah!" Grace said. "Lots!"

"Who are they? Tell me," Jun Lionhead asked.

"My dad, my aunt, my big brother and his wife, Shannon, Bobby, Rona Yin, Evan Xiao, and... you, Master! Haha..."

"If you had to rank them, who's number one?"

Grace rolled her eyes, then said sweetly, "It's you, Master! You're number one—the most important person of all."

Jun Lionhead chuckled, "Really?"

"Mm-hmm!" Grace said with exaggerated seriousness. "A teacher's kindness is greater than the sky!"

How can you rank your closest loved ones?

She just thought Jun Lionhead's words were a bit too sad, so she said that mostly to comfort him.

Jun Lionhead said nothing.

Grace leaned in, her eyes sparkling, and asked, "Master, how about we discuss going to Shannon's house to propose marriage?"

Jun Lionhead asked, "Do you know her identity?"

"I do," Grace said seriously. "She's the Third Princess of the Eastern Luo Empire."

But according to her, the Empress of Eastern Luo doesn't restrict her marriage choices.

If you go and propose, you might just succeed! Marrying a princess would be amazing!"
