Don't Play Tricks Like This

The Blood Wraith stopped laughing, finally seeming to realize that Damien Gray might not be so easy to deal with. His bulging eyes locked onto Damien, that cold, venomous gaze clinging to him like a serpent, as if ready to pounce and tear him apart at any moment.

Damien Gray, however, remained unmoved by his gaze. He slowly stepped toward him, the cruel smile never leaving his lips. "You want me to throw this world into chaos? You want the Simon Family to bear the weight of infamy?"

A cold, mocking chuckle sent chills down everyone's spine. Quentin Hua frowned at Damien Gray, unable to hide his concern.

Damien Gray took another step forward and continued, "I despise the Simon Family as well, but right now..." His words paused, and in the blink of an eye, he had gripped the Blood Wraith by the throat, lifting him effortlessly. His voice, chilling yet eerily gentle like something from the depths of hell, sent shivers down the spine. "But I despise you even more!"

The Blood Wraith's pupils contracted sharply. He hadn't even seen how Damien Gray made his move. How could this be? How had Damien suddenly grown so powerful? Was the potential of the Demon Seed truly this terrifying? He refused to believe it—he must have simply let his guard down!

His plan would never be ruined by Damien Gray! Never!

Struggling for breath, the Blood Wraith's skin-stretched, skeletal face twisted even more grotesquely. His eyes glared fiercely at Damien Gray, desperate to summon his proud sorcery, but for some reason, the power within him recoiled as if facing something terrifying—shrinking back, refusing to move.

What he didn't know was that the very first wielder of sorcery was Bloodshade. Now, the awakened sorcery within Damien Gray could be called the ancestor of all sorcery, making the Blood Wraith's own power useless against it.

Seeing the Blood Wraith about to suffocate, Damien Gray casually tossed him aside like garbage. He spoke, word by word, "You want the Simon Family to bear infamy? Then I will make sure the Simon Family shines once more! And you—you are destined to be nothing but a rat scurrying through the streets!" He said this only to torment the Blood Wraith, never truly intending to restore the Simon Family.

The Blood Wraith coughed violently, finally catching his breath. Hearing Damien Gray's words, he shook his head frantically, his expression growing ever more crazed. "No! The Simon Family are the real demons! I want Sima Yu's reputation ruined!" He tried to attack Damien Gray, but his sorcery remained unusable—he could feel it, his power simply could not harm Damien.

Damien Gray let out a mocking laugh, not in a hurry to kill him. He turned to look at Morgan Shangguan—no matter what happened, even if she died, she could never leave him! And anyone who hurt her, he would make sure they wished for death.

But in that distracted instant, the crazed Blood Wraith was suddenly engulfed in a swirl of black mist, sweeping Quentin Hua into it as well. With a loud "bang!" the ground shook violently, and the Blood Wraith's frenzied voice echoed through the air, "Even if I die, I'll drag someone down with me! The Simon Family are the real monsters..."

No one expected the Blood Wraith to do this. The mind of a madman is impossible for ordinary people to comprehend.

Maxwell Jing and Ethan Gu stared dumbfounded at the lingering black mist, unable to recover from the shock. Was that demon Quentin Hua... really dead?

Staring at the black mist, Damien Gray's expression grew even more terrifying.

When the mist finally began to clear, they saw Quentin Hua lying pale on the ground. Standing beside him was a rosy-cheeked little girl, her once adorable face now twisted with anger, making her look fierce. In her tiny hand, she held a shriveled, blackened ghost—the exploded remains of the Blood Wraith!

In the girl's other hand appeared a transparent whip, formed from gathered Spirit Power. She raised her tiny hand and lashed it at the ghost she held, her soft, childish voice roaring, "You dare hurt my people? You must have a death wish! You even dared harm my mother—today I'll beat you so badly your own parents won't recognize you!" The whip cracked through the air, and the ghost's screams echoed, though only Damien Gray and the two above could hear them clearly.

Ethan Gray walked over unhurriedly, his face expressionless as he grunted, "What a waste of effort. Wouldn't it be easier to just throw him into the Abyss?"

Roxy Shangguan, still furious, threw the Blood Wraith's soul to the ground and stomped on him hard. "That's what you get for going crazy! That's what you get for courting death!"

Eve Yan's mouth fell open in astonishment. She had always wanted to meet her precious disciple's grandchild, but she'd never imagined the little one would be so... formidable!

Xuan Tian glanced at her, his words layered with meaning. "The student has truly surpassed the master."

Damien Gray picked up Morgan Shangguan, his gaze piercing toward the figure hiding behind the clouds. "Lady Vivian Yan, the Blood Wraith hurt Morgan. Throwing him into the Abyss isn't too harsh, is it?" As long as Lady Vivian Yan agreed, his timid master would never dare object.

"O-of course..." Lady Vivian Yan muttered, a bit flustered. Why did she always feel uneasy whenever she looked at Bloodshade?

Watching Lady Vivian Yan's vexed expression, Xuan Tian couldn't help but smile. There was a reason why she and his precious disciple were always at odds. Bloodshade was a unique presence in the heavenly realm—even the Celestial Emperor was wary of him. As an immortal, Lady Vivian Yan had stammered the first time she met Bloodshade, feeling she’d lost face, and from then on, she’d been determined to redeem herself. Yet every time she saw Bloodshade, she lost her nerve.

Seeing Xuan Tian's doting gaze on Lady Vivian Yan, Bloodshade snorted coldly and spoke, "Master, shouldn’t you wake Morgan up now?"

"Ah..." Lady Vivian Yan suddenly cried out, pointing angrily at Xuan Tian. "You did that on purpose to provoke the boy!" Annoying! He hadn’t told her, making her worry for nothing!

Xuan Tian blinked innocently. "I have no idea what you're talking about."

As he spoke, Morgan Shangguan slowly regained consciousness. She glanced at Damien Gray, then at the two figures in the sky, murmuring, "I just knew it wouldn't be so easy for me to die."

Seeing Morgan Shangguan's completely unsurprised look, Lady Vivian Yan raised an eyebrow. "So you remembered too?"

Xuan Tian glanced at Morgan Shangguan and said to Lady Vivian Yan, "Did you forget that the Dragon and Phoenix Twin Pendants are a matching pair?"
