Jade Flute Gentleman (11)

12/2/2025

Damien Gray glanced at her belly and said softly, "I want to get them out as soon as possible!" That way, they wouldn’t keep monopolizing her attention—she was his, after all, so how could he let two little troublemakers steal her focus?

He had already decided that once these two little ones were born, he’d find a way to send them away. The daughter could go to Quentin Hua, that little demon—he actually trusted Quentin Hua, and besides, she liked him anyway. As for the son... there would always be a place for him. Worst case, he could have the prince’s manor!

Morgan Shangguan twitched her lips, clutching her belly as she warned, "Don’t you dare!" What a wild idea!

Damien Gray wrapped his arms around her and said, "Don’t worry, I would never hurt you!" Naturally, he wouldn’t hurt the two little ones either—they were his flesh and blood, after all. He wouldn’t really do anything to them, and since Morgan loved them so much, even for her sake, he wouldn’t let anything happen to them!

Seeing the seriousness in his eyes, Morgan Shangguan was speechless. Only he could come up with such a strange idea—get them out early? Would they even survive? She couldn’t help but sigh to herself: demon children really are different from ordinary ones!

After a few days of careful research, Damien Gray finally realized that his idea was, in fact, a bit too fanciful!

Watching him stubbornly flip through medical books, Morgan Shangguan shook her head and said, "You don’t need to look anymore. It’s simply impossible!"

Damien Gray frowned and tossed aside the medical book in his hand, glaring at her belly with deep resentment, as if he might reach in and drag the two little troublemakers out at any moment!

Morgan Shangguan sighed and said with a laugh, "You don’t need to be so anxious. They won’t stay in my belly for much longer!" She’d always known the two little ones inside her wouldn’t be ordinary, but it seemed she’d still underestimated them!

Damien Gray was a descendant of the Sima family. If not for Sima Wan’er’s curse, who knew how powerful he would be? Perhaps it was because of this that the babies’ abilities had taken her by surprise!

With the babies’ strong abilities, they would grow quickly and naturally wouldn’t stay in her belly for long!

Hearing this, Damien Gray narrowed his eyes at her. "Were you keeping that from me on purpose?"

Morgan Shangguan looked completely innocent as she replied, "You never asked!"

"Never asked?" Damien Gray smiled with a hint of danger. "Who was it that said it might take a year or two?"

Morgan Shangguan curled her lips and raised an eyebrow. "You said it yourself—it might. I never said it was certain! Anything is possible, after all!"

Damien Gray looked at her for a long moment before finally shaking his head with a helpless smile. "Looks like you really are bored!"

Morgan Shangguan, fearless as ever, said, "Bored or not, playing tricks on the Ghostmaster is always such an accomplishment!" The smile at the corner of her lips made it clear she was genuinely delighted.

Damien Gray wasn’t angry; he just stubbornly asked another question. "Mo’er, do you really have to go?" The Martial Arts Summit was about to begin, and it was time for them to set out. Even though he knew Morgan’s abilities, he still didn’t want her to take risks—times had changed, after all.

Morgan Shangguan took his hand and said, "I’ll be fine. Don’t think of what’s in my belly as a burden." Who knows, she might need their help at a critical moment!

Right now, the most important thing was to resolve the hidden dangers as quickly as possible!

Damien Gray knew he couldn’t change her mind, nor did he want to force her to stay. So he simply sent more people to protect her from the shadows, and even made sure Morgan Shangguan’s little ghosts were well trained. It wasn’t that he doubted his own abilities—he just couldn’t afford any mistakes. The price was too high.

The Martial Arts Summit was always lively, and this time was no exception. But everyone could sense something was different in the air.

No matter what the ultimate goal was, with the Summit’s name, there was sure to be plenty of martial contests!

The Martial Arts Summit concerned the entire jianghu. Victory and defeat were decided by martial skill, and even those from the demonic path could participate. But not many of them usually attended—just as the righteous didn’t want to mingle with the wicked, the demonic didn’t care to associate with the righteous either. Whenever they did show up, it was usually just to cause trouble for the righteous!

To those of the demonic path, if the Ghostmaster hadn’t looked down on the position of Alliance Leader, that seat would never have gone to someone from the righteous side!

But this time, even the demonic factions sensed the Summit wasn’t so simple, so almost all of them showed up. The scene was grand, but there was a hint of tension in the air.

The righteous and demonic factions kept to themselves; neither wanted to deal with the other. The righteous had the Alliance Leader, but the demonic side was scattered and divided.

The Ghostmaster wasn’t present, nor was the Cloud Guildmaster, and even the renowned Celestial Maiden Chief—famed for her beauty and influence—was absent. However, the Violet Envoy from Rakshasa Palace had arrived, but how could these demonic factions let her take the lead?

Although Rakshasa Palace was one of the three great demonic sects, Violet Snow was still just an envoy, not the palace master. There was no way they’d let her climb to the top.

"Palace Master, there’s no movement from the Ghost Guild. The Ghostmaster probably won’t be showing up!"

Upon hearing her subordinate’s report, Violet Snow wasn’t worried at all. She smiled and said, "He’ll definitely come! With the Ghostmaster’s temper, there’s no way he’d let anyone push him around!"

Those nearby were stunned by the subordinate’s address. After the previous Palace Master of Rakshasa Palace died, leadership remained stable, but no one had heard of the Violet Envoy becoming Palace Master!

Even during their last visit to the Healer’s Sanctuary, no one noticed anything unusual. Could it be that she’d only taken the position recently?

Traditionally, among the Three-Colored Envoys of Rakshasa Palace, the Azure Envoy Qingyu was the leader. If anyone were to be chosen as Palace Master, it should have been Qingyu—or at least the Blue Envoy Lanling. How did it end up being Violet Snow, the last in line?

Violet Snow sat gracefully, her sleeves gathered and a smile at her lips, gazing at the high platform. She paid no attention to the surprised and questioning looks around her.
