Desolate and Ancient North Sect

Evan thought it over and decided to go check it out. After all, he wanted to know exactly which world-realm he belonged to, so that when he returned someday, he could pinpoint its location without having to search everywhere.

"I'm going over there. You can go now," Evan said to him.

"I'll go with you," the man said.

Evan paused for a moment and said, "Your task is already done. You don't have to keep following me."

"Well, okay. What's your name?" the man asked curiously.

"Evan. And you?" Evan replied helplessly.

"I'm Liam Willow. People call me the Weird-Hair Thief," he said, a little embarrassed.

Evan shook his head helplessly. "Don't be a thief anymore. You won't always run into someone as kind as me."

"Okay, I'll listen to you," Liam Willow replied. Evan hadn't expected his words to have such an effect, so he could only shake his head and say, "Alright, let's go."

Liam Willow glanced at Evan, then finally left. Evan looked at the newcomers from different world-realms. He watched as they stepped up one by one; on the other side of the origin-testing area were different recruitment booths, each displaying clan profiles and their requirements. There were ordinary world-realms, mid-tier world-realms, and even high-tier world-realms.

"Are these people really recruiting so casually?" Evan muttered to himself after seeing those profiles. Then he lined up to participate, wanting to see where he was from.

Evan followed the crowd, watching as people stepped up one by one. Some were from mid-tier world-realms, some from ordinary ones. Each person would choose a sect or clan they liked and join them.

Some people weren't so lucky—they came from micro-tier world-realms, which were extremely small and weak places. That's why they're called micro-tier world-realms. People from those worlds, when they stepped up, weren't wanted by anyone.

After all, so many people participate every day—everyone wants to recruit those from good world-realms.

Evan glanced around, eager to see which world-realm he belonged to, so he could find the right manager and figure out how to return someday.

He kept watching the front, seeing all sorts of clans and sects lined up in a long row—so long that only divine sense could see the end.

Soon it was Evan's turn. He stepped up, not knowing how the test was set up, but when a special slip appeared in his hand, he saw it was custom-made, showing his aura, portrait, and origin—all clearly marked.

"Micro-tier world-realm, Blue." Evan exclaimed in surprise, but quickly calmed down. After all, his world had only produced a handful of Earth-Immortals over many years—being called micro-tier was already pretty good.

So Evan held the special slip and looked it over, noticing that at the very end, only four sects and two clans recruited from micro-tier world-realms.

"So cheap?" Evan muttered, speechless after reading their introductions.

These sects all claimed they'd teach Earth-Immortals for free how to survive in the Immortal Realm and earn Immortal Source. If someone showed enough potential, they could become a core disciple and get cultivation manuals or even rewards like Immortal Source.

"If you're not a core disciple, aren't you just free labor for them?" Evan thought to himself as soon as he finished reading.

Just then, a dignified man walked over, glanced at Evan, and asked, "Brother, are you from a micro-tier world-realm?"

"Yeah." Evan wasn't shy like some others; he answered calmly and didn't care at all.

But in the eyes of those around him, he was just a tiny bug, while they saw themselves as powerful. Many people showed strange smiles and mocked Evan. "Brother, to be honest, for someone from a micro-tier world-realm like you, only a few sects and clans will take you. If you want to survive in the Earth-Immortal Newcomer Star System, you need enough strength—and that means having cultivation manuals and plenty of Immortal Source to train. Am I right?" the man said.

"Yeah, so what are you suggesting?" Evan asked curiously.

"I'm from North Sect. We specialize in training newcomers for free. What do you say? Come join us," the man said.

"North Sect?" Evan asked, a little skeptical.

"Yeah, only the Four Cardinal Sects—East, South, West, and North—recruit from micro-tier world-realms," the man explained.

"Huh, that's a pretty unusual sect," Evan said, stunned at hearing about the Four Cardinal Sects.
