How Vast Is This Sky

2/14/2026

Evan Lin pressed forward, his steps landing on the constantly swirling, shattered ice beneath his feet.

The Froststorm Vortex was pierced through by Evan Lin’s punch, scattering wind and snow everywhere.

Inside the vortex, terrifying currents of force surged toward Evan Lin without pause.

Evan Lin’s expression didn’t change; he didn’t put up any defenses at all. Yet those surging, terrifying energies vanished cleanly before they could even get close to him.

The wild wind whipped at his black hair.

Evan Lin’s face was indifferent, step by step, ascending through the vortex.

“Such terrifying power—it's probably enough to crush that Master Lin from Seacrest completely.”

The Ju family steward watched from afar, gazing at the ice-and-snow vortex stretching from earth to sky, his expression complicated: “What a pity.”

“That Master Lin from Seacrest, so young, already possesses such cultivation and power.”

“Even if he doesn’t have a powerful family like the Upper-Grade Lin Clan backing him, as long as he survives, in another ten years or so, he might carve out a place for himself.”

There was unmistakable regret in the Ju family steward's voice.

To witness such a monstrous young talent was, for him, an extremely fortunate thing.

What a pity.

Grandpa Ju took a deep breath, looked over, his expression complex, and spoke heavily, unable to hide his sadness.

His face trembled slightly; from this side, the gigantic vortex looked like a beast ready to devour anyone.

If Master Lin from Seacrest has already perished here, then Allen Ju waiting there will likely meet a bad end as well.

Grandpa Ju's heart trembled, feeling anxious, but no matter what, this was Allen Ju's choice, and Grandpa Ju had to respect it.

Not far away, more and more people were watching the gigantic vortex before them.

Although the Ju family ancestral hall was somewhat remote, the commotion here was simply too great.

Beside them, quite a few people had even driven over just to watch the excitement.

Most of them lived nearby and didn’t know what was happening—just treating it as a spectacle.

The Ju family members looked over, all of them speechless.

“For now, contact people to come and repair the ancestral hall.”

Grandpa Ju felt tired. No matter how calm he appeared, Allen Ju was still his beloved grandson.

But as the Ju family patriarch, he couldn’t show any weakness at this moment.

After speaking, he planned to find a place to rest for a bit. Later, he might need to meet Blake Lin from the Upper-Grade Lin Clan.

Even if he couldn’t be sure Blake Lin would see him, he still had to wait.

After all, Blake Lin was from the Upper-Grade Lin Clan.

Grandpa Ju was about to turn away, unable to keep looking toward the ancestral hall.

“What’s that?”

“Looks like it’s completely shattered!”

“Wow, is it just me or is there someone up there?”

Among those who drove over to watch, someone used binoculars to peer at the vortex.

The scene was so spectacular and unnatural.

Though it was late summer, not autumn or winter yet, seeing so many snow-and-ice vortices under the blazing sun was a rare sight.

What shocked the onlookers even more was seeing the giant vortex crack open and, through the cracks, a figure climbing upward.

From afar, it was a youth.

A youth, faintly visible inside the vortex, but undeniably climbing upward.

The person rubbed his eyes, and the binoculars were snatched by someone else, who exclaimed, “An immortal?”

Hearing the voices, Grandpa Ju paused, turned his head, and looked at the sky-piercing vortex from a distance, his expression complex.

Hearing the voices, Grandpa Ju paused, turned his head, and looked at the sky-piercing vortex from a distance, his expression complex.

“Is that Blake Lin?”

He murmured, uncertain.

But speaking of it, Master Lin from Seacrest was probably already shattered beneath the vortex.

As for Blake Lin, only he might have the power to stop such a terrifying snow-and-ice vortex.

Grandpa Ju’s expression shifted, a hint of hope—hoping Blake Lin would protect Allen Ju, though that chance was slim.

Wind and snow howled past Evan Lin’s ears; in his eyes, ice and snow shattered as he climbed step by step, finally reaching the top of the vortex, parting the dense storm, and stepping onto the crown of ice and snow.

“He made it to the top.”

“It’s really a person!”

More and more cries of astonishment sounded by Grandpa Ju’s ear.

He squinted, trying to see, but from so far away, all he could make out was a tiny figure atop the vortex.

“Madman.”

Blake Lin looked up, the barrier of force around him not yet withdrawn. He stared at the youth who had punched through the vortex and climbed to its summit.

His heart was filled with emotions he couldn’t name—some anger, feeling tricked by Master Lin from Seacrest.

And some shock—shocked by Master Lin from Seacrest’s strength, which exceeded his expectations.

“Are you trying to show off in front of me this way?”

Blake Lin looked at Evan Lin standing at the peak, his voice cold: “I have to admit, your method is pretty effective.”

“You’ve piqued my interest a little.”

“Over the years, countless people have tried to impress my Lin Clan, hoping to be noticed, but few succeeded.”

“Today, Master Lin from Seacrest, you’ve managed to interest me.”

“But that’s all.”

Blake Lin’s voice was cold, his mood quickly settling as he recalled everything and figured out the key points.

Master Lin from Seacrest clearly had the power to break the Four Seasons Grand Array quickly, but wasted time and effort, breaking it step by step.

He used different methods for each formation—seemingly testing them, but really trying to impress Blake Lin.

“Are you hoping I’ll recommend you into the Upper-Grade Lin Clan?”

Blake Lin looked at the youth atop the vortex, his tone indifferent. After several exchanges, the youth at the summit suddenly spoke.

“Look at this sky—how vast can it be?”
