The Astonishing Origin of the Genesis Cauldron

The main Spirit Grass for the Azure Essence Pill are the Seventh Grade Spirit Grass Essence Hemp and the Seventh Grade Spirit Grass Cypress Purple Vine. Although Joe Di has quite a few Seventh Grade Spirit Grass, he is short on auxiliary Spirit Grass. In addition to various Seventh Grade Spirit Grass, the Azure Essence Pill also requires several Sixth Grade Spirit Grass and some lower-grade Spirit Grass as support. He barely has enough auxiliary Spirit Grass to refine three furnaces of Azure Essence Pill.

After cleaning the pill furnace, Joe Di proceeded as he did when refining the Sixth Grade Snowfield Pill, sending in the Spirit Grass to begin extraction.

During his previous pill refining, Martin Kee had already told Joe Di that apart from the pill furnace, Spirit Grass, Dan Seals, and alchemy flame, there is an even more important factor in pill refinement—Spiritual Sense.

If one's Spiritual Sense is too weak, even the most skilled Alchemist with the best theoretical knowledge will have limited achievements.

Joe Di’s Spiritual Sense is at level ten. He can easily use his Spiritual Sense to control Dan Seals, separate impurities, and fuse spiritual liquids…

With such powerful Spiritual Sense, Joe Di would never make the slightest mistake. However, after collecting the pills, he found only six discarded pills, none showing any sign of pill aura.

If Martin Kee were here, Joe Di would only need to ask him, and the second batch of pills would surely succeed. Now that Martin Kee is gone, he has no one to rely on. Moreover, Martin Kee had said that for Seventh Grade pills, Joe Di must figure it out himself; otherwise, even if taught, it would only restrict Joe Di’s own path in pill refinement.

Joe Di repeatedly deduced his pill refining techniques, simulating the process several times, yet he still could not pinpoint what went wrong with the first batch of Seventh Grade Azure Essence Pills.

With only three batches of Azure Essence Pill possible, Joe Di decided to attempt another batch.

Once again, a mass of black flames swirled out in the Starry Sky of Light. Joe Di brushed away the pill residue from the furnace, then placed the Spirit Grass into the furnace one by one in order. His powerful Spiritual Sense almost enveloped every subtle fluctuation within the furnace.

With his level ten Spiritual Sense observing so meticulously, not even the slightest detail of the Spirit Grass’ decomposition in the pill furnace escaped Joe Di’s control. The Spirit Grass was thoroughly broken down, and the residue was discarded from the furnace.

Under the guidance of Dan Seals, the Spirit Grass began to fuse. Based on his previous insights from pill refinement, Joe Di cautiously executed one Dan Seal after another.

As the Dan Seals entered the furnace, the fused pill liquid was decomposed once more…

Yet Joe Di had a bad premonition. The steps seemed flawless, but he felt none of the joy of successful pill formation, nor did he sense any aura of the Azure Essence Pill.

The Spirit Grass liquid split apart with Joe Di’s Dan Seals, then formed pills, gathered pill aura, and shaped the pills…

Once again, six pills devoid of spiritual aura landed in Joe Di’s hands. Without even examining them, he knew his second batch of Azure Essence Pills had failed.

Two consecutive failed batches, and crucially, he still hadn’t found the reason for his failure.

Maybe it was the pill furnace. The one Joe Di used wasn’t crafted by himself, but acquired from the Qi Trading House—a barely mid-grade spiritual artifact.

He could forge top-grade spiritual artifacts himself, but when it came to pill furnaces, Joe Di was well aware of his limitations. It wasn’t about his skill, but the lack of materials for refining a pill furnace.

Joe Di’s gaze fell on the Genesis Cauldron before him. This Genesis Cauldron could be used to refine Seventh Grade pills, though Martin Kee had said its pill formation rate wouldn’t be very high.

With only one batch of Spirit Grass left, Joe Di decided to give the Genesis Cauldron a try. If he failed again, he would buy a better pill furnace and continue practicing.

Fire naturally restrains wood. Although he had decided to use the Genesis Cauldron for pill refinement, Joe Di still couldn’t understand why anyone would use wood to craft a pill furnace.

Joe Di’s Spiritual Sense penetrated the Genesis Cauldron, and he easily sensed that its restrictions were simple—just a low-grade spiritual artifact. Most of its restrictions were Grade Four, with only one incomplete Grade Five restriction, making it seem even inferior to the pill furnace he had just used.

Joe Di shook his head. If he had a slightly better pill furnace, he wouldn’t even consider using one like this.

In just a few minutes, Joe Di had completely refined all the restrictions on the Genesis Cauldron. As he prepared to clean the Genesis Cauldron for pill refinement, the Graystone in his sea of consciousness began to shake violently, as if it wanted to leap out and land on the Genesis Cauldron.

Not only that, the golden streak within the Graystone radiated ripples. Joe Di had seen these golden ripples before and knew they were a kind of Dao Law.

What surprised him was that these Dao Laws seemed to resonate with the Genesis Cauldron.

Could it be that this Genesis Cauldron is actually something extraordinary?

For the Graystone to resonate so intensely, it definitely wasn’t something simple. Even the World Book he had acquired back then hadn’t made the Graystone resonate this violently. The reason he was able to obtain the World Book was largely because it yearned for the Graystone and the golden lightning within it.

Joe Di thought of the small world he had obtained. Back then, the small world was hiding all kinds of Spiritual Sense imprints and restrictions, which he hadn’t found. Could it be that the Genesis Cauldron also had hidden restrictions?

Joe Di quickly restrained the trembling Graystone and focused his Spiritual Sense entirely on the Genesis Cauldron. A day later, he withdrew his sense in disappointment—he hadn’t found any restrictions.

World Book, seek help from the World Book.

Joe Di’s Spiritual Sense landed on the World Book. To his surprise, after his sense entered the World Book, the first page seemed different than before. When he directed his sense to the second page, he quickly realized it wasn’t the first page that had changed, but that the World Book had suddenly gained a new page.

On this page was a vast, ancient tree. Though it was clearly on the book’s page, Joe Di felt that even his Spiritual Sense could not reach the edges of this tree.

Beside the ancient tree was a note: World Tree—green leaves, purple stems, mysterious yellow fruit, a hundred zhang tall without branches. Nine clusters above, nine below, fibers like hemp, leaves like awn…

Joe Di drew a sharp breath. The World Tree really exists—the legends are true. And someone actually refined the World Tree into a cauldron, and that cauldron was right before him.

Joe Di’s scalp tingled; he truly hadn’t expected to obtain a cauldron made from the World Tree. He continued reading with his Spiritual Sense: "When the sage falls, the universe shatters, the World Tree scatters, transforming into billions…"

After a long time, Joe Di finally withdrew his Spiritual Sense, still feeling incredulous. In ancient times, when the sages battled, the entire universe was shattered, and the World Tree was reduced to countless fragments. The Genesis Cauldron he’d obtained was probably one of those fragments—perhaps even the largest.

If he didn’t have the Graystone and the World Book, he would never have known this cauldron was made from the World Tree.

It seemed Pillfall Mountain’s destruction was well deserved—they had left behind such a heaven-defying artifact as the World Tree Cauldron. The key was, even Pillfall Mountain itself didn’t know its origin. The fools who destroyed the Stone Cauldron snatched a fake Genesis Cauldron, leaving the real one behind.

After gathering his thoughts, Joe Di cleaned the Genesis Cauldron and took out the Spirit Grass for his final batch of Azure Essence Pill.

Previously, he had worried that his alchemy flame might burn the Genesis Cauldron, but now he had no such concern. If a cauldron made from the World Tree could be burned so easily, it wouldn’t be the primordial wood that split heaven and earth. The only thing he couldn’t understand was why, if the Genesis Cauldron was made from the World Tree, Martin Kee had said its pill formation rate was extremely low and it couldn’t refine high-grade pills.

He summoned his alchemy flame, and the Spirit Grass for the Azure Essence Pill quickly melted inside the cauldron. As soon as Joe Di’s Spiritual Sense touched the melted spiritual liquid, he sensed a vast Dao Law aura.

That’s right—cultivate Dao Law! Joe Di almost smacked his own forehead. Martin Kee had long told him that to achieve greater progress in pill refinement, he must forge his own path. Since it’s his own path, it must have its own Dao Law.

Before, he had tried to refine Seventh Grade pills using the same methods as Sixth Grade pills—no wonder he failed.

This time, Joe Di infused his own Starstream Dao Law, and sure enough, the pill fragrance quickly spread, and waves of pill aura began to gather. Soon, Joe Di clearly sensed a Dao Law aura from the Genesis Cauldron permeating the Azure Essence Pill, making the pills rapidly become round and lustrous.

In less than the time it takes to burn an incense stick, Joe Di raised his hand and brought out twelve fragrant Azure Essence Pills, each one a top-grade pill with clear pill patterns.

Joe Di looked at the twelve Azure Essence Pills in his hand with delight—he finally understood what was going on.

To use the Genesis Cauldron for pill refinement, your Spiritual Sense must be at least level ten. Anything less, and you simply can’t use the Genesis Cauldron. That’s why no one had discovered its secret until now—no one else’s Spiritual Sense had reached level ten.

As long as your Spiritual Sense reaches level ten, using the Genesis Cauldron not only upgrades the quality of your pills, but also infuses them with a Dao Law aura, making them superior to any other pills.

But what surprised Joe Di most was that when refining Seventh Grade pills with the Genesis Cauldron, the pill yield doubled.
