The Woman Who Breaks the Siege

2/27/2026

Envoy Wang said, "Let's just keep watching for now. Anyway, we're not the ones making a move, so however he wants to play it, it's none of our business. Best case, let him get himself killed."

Envoys Xiao and Liu were both nervous and excited. Nervous because Yang Han was about to be killed—and it was their scheme; if the higher-ups found out, they'd be finished. But at the same time, they were excited, since they wouldn't have to be controlled by such a freak anymore.

Outside, Yang Han only felt a gloomy chill all around him. Not only that, but a strange force was draining his energy. Whenever he tried to resist, it was like his power inside was being sucked dry—the harder he fought back, the faster it drained.

Yang Han muttered to himself, "Looks like I've really run into some ghosts this time. Damn it, I need to think of something—I can't keep going like this."

Yang Han pulled out the Limitless Spear, its five prongs gleaming. He chose the lightning attribute—the best counter for ghostly creatures. Gripping the spear, he unleashed a surge of lightning through it, striking the tombstone steles one after another. As each stele shattered, Jalon was stunned. "Damn it, you actually have lightning attribute!"

"Exactly—the perfect way to counter your ghosts," Yang Han said with a smile. At the same time, his body was covered in crackling lightning, stabilizing the power within him.

Jalon was out of options—he'd already used his strongest move, and it was useless. Worse, unleashing that move had left him feeling completely drained. He stared dumbly inside as the barrier's power weakened, giving Yang Han a chance to break out.

Suddenly, the barrier shattered with a boom. Jalon shouted to the Nether Sky Demon King, "Quick, take me into the castle!"

The Nether Sky Demon King knew the tide had turned—especially with Yang Han already breaking out and that Colorless Flame surging toward them. He quickly scooped up Jalon and flashed away, rushing toward the castle.

Watching them flee, Yang Han muttered, "They're pretty fast, I'll give them that."

Yang Han didn't give chase. He knew there were three Envoys inside the castle, and barging in recklessly would only end badly. So he calmed himself and decided to observe for now.

Meanwhile, Jalon and the Demon King reached the castle. Jalon asked, "You all saw that, right?"

"Yeah, we saw it," Envoy Xiao replied. Jalon continued, "Since you saw it, do you understand why?"

"There's no special reason. It just means he's a total freak—even has the lightning attribute," Envoy Xiao said.

"Hmph, what I'm saying is, I can't handle him alone anymore. And now I'm injured. If you all don't help, no one is catching him," Jalon said.

"Well..." Envoy Xiao hesitated. They weren't allowed to kill Yang Han themselves.

Envoy Wang thought for a moment and said, "I can lend you my castle. See if you can lure him in. Once he's inside, we'll assist you. But whether you can finish him off is up to you."

"Now that's straightforward, Envoy Wang. Good, I'll rest up first and find you later," Jalon replied with a laugh.

After Jalon left, Envoy Xiao asked, "Is this really okay?"

"What's not okay? We're just assisting. We can't let him attack us, right? If the higher-ups ask, we'll say that guy came after us, then ran into Jalon and got taken out by coincidence. We never laid a hand on him, just helped out," Envoy Wang said.

Envoy Liu nodded, "Yeah, let's do it his way."

"Alright, since you all agree, what is there to be afraid of? Let's get ready," Envoy Xiao said. Everyone nodded and went to prepare.

Jalon spent a few days recovering his strength, then went out again, using the exact location Envoy Xiao gave him to search for Yang Han. Yang Han was curious how they managed to find him so closely.

"Kid, come out—we know you're right here," Jalon said with a grin.

Yang Han smiled, "What? Back for more? Didn't get enough last time?"

"Last time was just a mistake. If you've got guts, follow me," Jalon laughed. Yang Han smirked, "You want me to go with you? Your brain must be waterlogged."

"What, scared?" Jalon teased.

Yang Han grinned, "Not scared—just using my head."

"So what would make you come with me?" Jalon asked. Yang Han knew he was trying to lure him over, and for an unfamiliar place, there was no real temptation.

"Depends if it's worth it," Yang Han smiled. Jalon thought for a moment and said, "Want to know the true purpose of the Sky-Piercing Tower? If you do, come with me. If you can beat me, I'll tell you."

The Sky-Piercing Tower had a true purpose—that surprised Yang Han quite a bit. He smiled, "That's actually tempting. Alright, you guys go ahead, I'll be right there."

"Then I'll wait for you inside, kid. Let's see if you survive facing me," Jalon laughed, then left. Yang Han weighed his options and thought about what he'd do once he arrived.

On the way to the castle, the Nether Sky Demon King asked Jalon, "What's the secret of the Sky-Piercing Tower?"

"That's a secret," Jalon replied with a smile.

"You won't tell me either?" the Nether Sky Demon King asked curiously.

"Of course not—no one would," Jalon grinned. The Demon King pressed, "But you just said you'd tell him."

"That's only if he beats me. Do you really think he can defeat me inside the castle?" Jalon laughed.

The Nether Sky Demon King nodded, "That's true."

Jalon entered the castle and found the three Envoys. He said, "He'll be here soon. How do you plan to deal with him?"

"The three of us can set up a barrier he can't break. Inside, his strength will be weakened. After that, it's up to you," Envoy Wang said.

"Weaken him? Then how can he fight me? I like it," Jalon said, delighted. He had the three Envoys set up the barrier and waited for Yang Han's arrival.

Yang Han was ready. He originally planned to send a clone, but remembered that Envoy Xiao could easily spot his true body—so clones were useless. He decided to go himself.

All the guards inside the castle had been withdrawn—it was completely empty. Yang Han was curious why such a place would be deserted.

Once inside, Yang Han realized he'd entered a barrier. There were five people: Jalon, the Nether Sky Demon King, and the three Envoys.

The three Envoys were maintaining the barrier. Jalon laughed, "You've got guts, kid. But if you want to know the secret, you better survive."

Yang Han found the barrier was extremely complex, powered by three strong Heavenly Dao Intent users. Breaking it with his own strength was nearly impossible.

"A barrier can't kill me—unless you all come in," Yang Han laughed.

"I only need to go in," Jalon said, flashing inside. Yang Han summoned his Colorless Flame, which halved Jalon's power—but Yang Han noticed he was also weakened, thanks to the barrier.

"What, feeling weak too?" Jalon laughed at Yang Han's expression.

Yang Han smiled, "Yeah, a barrier with this kind of power—that's really impressive."

"Kid, cut the nonsense. Hand over that thing, and I'll let you leave safely," Jalon sent a voice transmission to Yang Han, not wanting the others to hear.

Yang Han replied via voice transmission, "Not happening. But I'm really curious about your secret—can you tell me?"

"Kid, do you really think you can beat me now?" Jalon laughed.

Yang Han smiled, "I can't deal with you, but you can't deal with me either." With that, Yang Han summoned his clones to fight with numbers.

Jalon was shocked and asked Envoy Xiao, "Which one is real?"

"I'm maintaining the formation right now—I can't tell," Envoy Xiao said helplessly. Hearing this, Jalon had no choice but to keep tangling with Yang Han.

The two were evenly matched, especially with Yang Han's many clones taking turns attacking. Jalon was nearly hit several times, infuriated.

Days went by like this. After fighting, they'd each rest, turning the place into a gladiator arena. The three Envoys outside couldn't help—they had to keep the barrier intact, or Yang Han would escape.

This continued for more than ten days. Jalon, furious, shouted, "It's been over ten days! Are you still going to keep this up?"

"You can keep going, so why can't I?" Yang Han grinned.

Hearing that, Jalon raged, "Alright, you brat, today I'm going to deal with you for real!"

"How many times have you said that? I'm still fine, so stop dreaming—I'll be just fine," Yang Han laughed.

Jalon, frustrated and unwilling to give up, kept fighting Yang Han. Suddenly, a group of people arrived. The leader wore a mask and had a slender figure—clearly a woman. She spoke, "Three Envoys, what are you doing?"

The three Envoys were shocked, especially seeing the woman in front.

"Lady Raksha!" the three Envoys exclaimed in unison, stunned.

"What, you really joined in? Trying to kill this person?" Lady Raksha sounded a bit angry.

"Lady Raksha, you misunderstand us. We're just assisting. You know, he wants to kill us—if we didn't do this, we'd be the ones dead," Envoy Xiao said, frustrated.

"Don't you have legs? You're three major Envoys, yet you couldn't just walk away? Instead, you join in to hunt him? Hmph!" Lady Raksha snapped.

The three Envoys' faces changed drastically as Lady Raksha said, "Well? Aren't you going to let go?"
