"Boom—" A streak of black light appeared out of thin air in midair, shooting straight at Shawn Young from behind.
Shawn Young was already on guard. He raised his right hand, and a flash of purple light shot from his sword fingers to meet the black beam. In an instant, the black and purple lights collided in midair—"Boom! Boom!" Two dazzling fireballs exploded, canceling each other out.
"Heh heh—Is the Nine Chrysanthemums Society only capable of sneak attacks from behind? What a disappointment—" Shawn Young shook his fingers and called out loudly, though inside he was secretly shocked. From that brief exchange, he could already sense that the master from the Nine Chrysanthemums Society possessed incredibly deep power—a truly formidable opponent, possibly even on par with Andrew Qi!
"Baka yarou—You little punk, I'm right now in Room 5 on the third floor. Your women are locked away somewhere on the third floor. Want to save them? Then come up here and fight me!" The stiff male voice echoed through the air.
"Fine! I'm heading to the third floor right now. I'm warning you—don't you dare touch them, or I'll make sure you die a horrible death!" Shawn Young shouted hatefully to the sky. He despised these kinds of schemes, especially when the enemy used people close to him as leverage. That was absolutely unforgivable!
"Keh—keh—keh—You little punk, you don't get a choice! Come up here and meet your death! Today, I'm going to kill you and avenge Hayato Falcon!" The man's voice cackled menacingly.
Shawn Young's heart sank when he heard this. He blurted out, "You're the one who inherited Hayato Falcon's soul!?"
"That's right, you little punk. I'm waiting right here for you to walk into my trap, then I'll rip out your soul and use it for a soul-forging ritual. You'll never find peace, suffering eternal torment!" the man said viciously.
Without paying any more attention to the provocation, Shawn Young turned to the crowd and said, "I'm heading to the third floor to rescue them. The enemy is a sorcerer and must have set up some powerful traps. Ordinary martial arts won't work against him. You all follow me upstairs, and I'll handle him. You guys help me save the hostages!"
"Hold on, don't rush. You have to remember, the enemy isn't just one person. There are others lurking in the shadows, and we have no idea where they are. Plus, with so many rooms on the third floor, if we search each one, we might walk right into their ambush. If only we could pinpoint exactly where your women are being held!" Fiona Nangong suddenly said.
Shawn Young was taken aback, realizing Fiona Nangong had a point. His mind raced, and he quickly activated the "Clairvoyance Spell" to try and locate Wang Xiaomin and the other two women. But when he used the spell, the image on his palm was nothing but a hazy gray—he couldn't see anything at all. Shawn Young was shocked, realizing that the Nine Chrysanthemums Society master must have set up a barrier on the third floor to block any spiritual search. What an old fox!
"Damn—there's no way to confirm where they're being held! Time is running out, and staying here isn't helping—what a headache—" Shawn Young couldn't find the exact location of the three women and felt his head pounding.
Just as Shawn Young was feeling overwhelmed, Mai Kanda's voice suddenly came to his ear: "Master—Mai has found them—they're locked in Room X on the third floor, guarded by two men. The one with the tiger tattoo is easier to handle, let Miss Nangong and her team take care of him. The other is a tough old guy—let me deal with him. You go face the Grandmaster Chrysanthemum of the Nine Chrysanthemums Society! But please be careful—Mai will start moving now, and I'll tell Miss Nangong to hurry up—"
After she finished speaking, Mai Kanda's voice disappeared. Shawn Young was overjoyed—he knew exactly which two men Mai was talking about: one was Tiger Cloud, the other was Andrew Qi. He suppressed his excitement and calmly told Fiona Nangong and the others, "Okay, I know where they're being held. Everyone, follow me to the third floor. I'll take care of the Japanese guy. You don't need to help me—once we're up there, my people will meet you and help with the rescue!"
"Oh—so it's your ninja girlfriend—heh heh—she really is something!" Fiona Nangong immediately caught on, speaking with a hint of jealousy.
"Let's go—" Shawn Young shot her a glance, ignoring her jealous remark, and quickly strode toward the third floor. Ethan Zhao and his disciple immediately followed, while Fiona Nangong pouted in frustration and muttered under her breath, "Hmph—so what if you have a ninja girlfriend? Big deal—" Still, she obediently hurried after them.
The group quickly reached the third floor. Looking down the hallway, there were rows of patient rooms on both sides. Searching each one would waste precious time and alert the enemy. Shawn Young silently congratulated himself—having Mai Kanda secretly take action was a stroke of genius.
Shawn Young led the group to the door of Room 5. He suddenly turned to them and said, "I'll go in alone. You guys head to Room X—they're being held there. There are two enemies inside, so be careful!"
"Got it!" Simon Qi nodded and quickly rushed inside, followed by Ethan Zhao and Jack Chen. Fiona Nangong hesitated, then softly asked Shawn Young, "If I were kidnapped, would you rescue me the same way you did for them?"
"Uh—of course I would!" Shawn Young hadn't expected Fiona Nangong to ask such a strange question at a time like this, but he answered her cheerfully and without hesitation.
Fiona Nangong blushed at his reply, gazed deeply at Shawn Young, and whispered, "Mm—you, you be careful, okay—" With that, she hurried inside.

Shawn Young couldn't figure out what was going on in this woman's head. Although it was a bit baffling, he didn't dwell on it, because he suddenly saw the door to Room 5 swing open. Two figures darted out, and leading the way was someone Shawn Young knew all too well—dressed in a psychiatric patient’s outfit, it was none other than Gavin Grant! But Gavin Grant looked bizarre: a silver needle with a red thread was stuck into his scalp, his face wore its signature lecherous grin, but his expression was stiff, his eyes vacant and lifeless, drool glistening at the corner of his mouth. That pale, twisted face looked even more sinister than usual.
Standing behind the vacant-eyed Gavin Grant was a middle-aged man in a black kimono. He had a strikingly handsome face, long hair slicked back, prominent cheekbones, tightly pressed lips, and narrow phoenix eyes filled with murderous intent. His whole demeanor radiated a ruthless, gloomy aura, like a venomous snake waiting to strike. The moment Shawn Young saw him, he sensed a powerful killing intent and a faint feeling of déjà vu. He shifted his focus from Gavin Grant to the middle-aged man.
The moment their eyes met, both instantly sensed the other's powerful aura. They stared each other down, neither willing to be outdone. The air was thick with tension!
"I'm Shawn Young—" Shawn Young suddenly took the initiative and spoke first.
"Nine Chrysanthemums Society—Grandmaster Daniel Feathercloud!!" The middle-aged man in black stared coldly at Shawn Young and announced.
