One month later.
It had been a full month since the Martial Arts Conference, and Ivy Shen had stayed in Lark City the whole time—mainly because she’d gotten word from the Fire God: Siskamon’s sword-forging had hit a snag and would take a few more days. But he assured her not to worry, he’d be here soon.
Later, when Ivy asked the Fire God what the problem was, he explained that the iron chain had been made twenty years ago by the late emperor—meaning it was ridiculously sturdy. The sword they’d prepared might not be strong enough, so the king wanted them to wait and make a sword that wouldn’t fail at the crucial moment. Plus, he had to guarantee that the sword’s murderous aura wouldn’t hurt the person using it; otherwise, just as Ivy described, no one could handle that kind of malice.
Seeing this, Ivy could only ask the Fire God to tell Siskamon to hurry up—she was really scared of waiting like this. But she knew she had no choice but to wait.
Last time, Siskamon had said that the sword would snap as soon as it struck the iron chain, which meant the murderous aura was intense.
Oh well, she’d just have to wait a few more days—even if these days felt like ants crawling on a hot pan.
Since there was still some time before her meeting with Siskamon, she decided to stay and properly accompany her sister.
During this period, Lacey Shen had treated Ivy with such genuine, heartfelt care that Ivy almost wasn’t used to it.
What made Ivy feel most guilty was that, during this time, those nightly moaning sounds seemed to have disappeared. But Dongdong explained it was because the master was too embarrassed, so she’d toned it down a lot.
Ivy wanted to tell her sister it was totally fine—she wasn’t a naive girl anymore, after all. But thinking it over, her sister must be embarrassed, so whatever, if she really had to say something, it’d probably be awkward too.
But as for these leisurely days, her seven husbands were absolutely thrilled. Each of them had set up a schedule: every night, a different one would sneak into her room, whether Ivy liked it or not. Before she’d even finished dinner, they’d be waiting in her room, soaking shirtless in a giant bath tub, showing off their perfect bodies.
The goal was simple: seduce her.
Every time Ivy saw this, she’d try to scold them for disrespecting her—but the moment they stood up and revealed those flawless physiques, she’d lose all resolve and get completely seduced!
And then, it was like dry wood meeting a raging fire—they’d burn all night long!
So these seven guys kept counting down the days until it was their turn again. Obviously, Ivy wasn’t enough to go around, so whenever one of them finally got his night, he’d make the most of it—totally exhausting her, making up for all those days of waiting. Every time, Ivy would be tormented from dusk till dawn.
The sad result? By day, Ivy would be eating with puffy eyes and zero energy, getting teased by her sister Lacey.
This routine lasted until the seven husbands had gone through three full rounds. Only then did it finally end. Today the sun was shining, so the whole group rode off toward Rui City. Since they took the shortcut, it didn’t take long to get from Lark City to Rui City.
But their party was pretty huge along the way. Ivy kept telling Lacey Shen she didn’t need to come; once Ivy had rescued her other sister, she’d definitely bring Lacey to meet her.
But in the end...
Lacey still tagged along. She was really moved by Ivy’s concern, but as the eldest sister, how could she just stand by and watch?
Ivy looked awkwardly at Lacey, totally stumped. She couldn’t exactly ask her to bring all one hundred of her male concubines along, right? She didn’t even want to imagine that scene.
Sensing Ivy’s worry, Lacey laughed and said not to stress—she’d just bring Blue and Pink.
Everyone else was a bit concerned—just the two of them?
Faced with skeptical looks, Pink and Blue glared right back. Don’t underestimate them! The two of them were seriously strong—could go all night without getting tired. Lacey only brought them this time, and they were absolutely delighted, finally able to enjoy their mistress all to themselves.
Dongdong, who didn’t get to come, looked super dejected. Luckily, Lacey told him to take good care of the house and promised she’d be back in a few days. If he did well, she’d restore his status, which instantly made Dongdong beam with joy.
As for the hundred male concubines, they were all left behind, waving their handkerchiefs and sobbing.
Seeing the scene, Ivy felt like a villain, as if she’d snatched away their precious mistress. It was honestly heartbreaking!
Ivy also heard that Silver Consort hadn’t gone to Draken City at all this month—probably hiding out somewhere to recover. But with injuries that bad, even if she tried her best, she probably wouldn’t last long. What Ivy looked forward to most was seeing how Silver Consort would explain things to Cao Wan’er when she finally went to the palace.
Thinking about it, it was actually good Silver Consort hadn’t gone to Draken City. At least things there wouldn’t get too chaotic. News of her severe injuries would definitely reach Cao Wan’er, but as long as Silver Consort wasn’t dead on the spot, Cao Wan’er wouldn’t be overly suspicious. Right now, everything had to revolve around rescuing her sister Lianxi.
Thankfully, the waiting was finally over. Tomorrow—tomorrow she’d see Siskamon. That night, she and him would sneak into the palace and rescue her sister, then figure out what to do next!
Ivy Shen’s return made Aunt Yun ecstatic—she hurried to prepare rooms for everyone. Then the deputy manager of the Beijing Duck restaurant immediately sent over fine wine and dishes, all top quality, since they were for the boss herself.
Faced with Disco for the first time, Lacey, Blue, Pink, and Xu Ning were so stunned they couldn’t even describe it. Everything here amazed them—the singing, the dancing, the whole vibe was so weird, but so captivating!

Otherwise, why would their bodies start moving to that bizarre music all on their own?
"Hey, stop staring—finish eating and I’ll take you dancing!" Butterfly Rogue called out to the four dazed newbies.
Reluctantly, the four headed up to the third floor, clearly looking forward to it.
In the biggest disco VIP room, there were two huge tables set up. To avoid fighting over seats, Ivy had her seven husbands sit at one round table, while she sat at another with the rest.
No one objected—after two days of travel with barely any food, everyone was drooling over the long-awaited Beijing Duck and all those dishes.
Lacey, Pink, Blue, and Xu Ning had never tasted Beijing Duck before, and were totally shocked. They’d always thought roast duck tasted the same, maybe a little different if it was marinated, but nothing major. Turns out, duck could be eaten like this—the crispy skin even made a crunching sound when you bit into it.
"Sis, you’re amazing!" Lacey exclaimed, totally impressed. "Looks like I’ve found myself a treasure, haha."
"Little Master, this duck is delicious!" Pink said, dropping his baggage and smiling.
That’s the title he and Blue agreed on. Calling her ‘little sister’? She’d vetoed that last time. Calling her ‘Miss Shen’ felt way too formal. So ‘Little Master’ was the safest choice.
But despite all the tasty food, Ivy wasn’t interested at all—she seemed totally listless.
"What’s wrong, sis?" Lacey asked, putting down her chopsticks when she saw Ivy looking so tired. "Are you worried about something?"
"Sis..."
"Don’t worry, isn’t Siskamon coming tomorrow? Once he arrives, we’ll act." Lacey said, being cryptic. The others had no idea what their conversation meant.
Ivy told Lacey not to mention anything about their sister Lianxi to the group. She knew that if any of them got impulsive, they’d sneak off to rescue her themselves, which would mess everything up. The only way to prevent that was to keep it secret.
"Xin’er, what do you need that sword for, anyway?" Xu Ning couldn’t help but ask.
"You’ll find out soon enough," Ivy replied.
"Enough, tomorrow will be here soon. You haven’t rested properly these past few days—have some fish soup." With that, Lacey ladled Ivy a bowl of silky tofu fish soup.
Seeing this, Ivy picked up her spoon to take a sip, but as soon as she caught a whiff of the fish soup, she suddenly felt nauseous.
"Ugh..." Unable to help herself, Ivy pushed the bowl away and started gagging, looking really uncomfortable.
"Sis, what’s wrong?"
Seeing this, all seven husbands crowded around. "Xin’er, what’s wrong?"
"It’s nothing, I’m probably just tired these past few days," Ivy said wearily.
Hearing this, Demon Li quickly said, "Let me check." Without caring about Ivy’s protests, he started taking her pulse.
"You guys need to stop wearing me out—I haven’t slept properly at all! Tonight, you all sleep by yourselves, I want to sleep alone!" Ivy complained. She was determined to catch up on sleep tonight; these seven guys, once their clothes came off, were like starving wolves—so fierce, she could never satisfy them.
