The Sky-Flooding Demon Sovereign cast an Emperor’s Barrier Domain, blocking the Strange Spiral Shell’s path, then stared at the shell and demanded, “What kind of treasure is this?”
“I’d like to know too, but I doubt you’d understand,” Evan Yang replied.
Staring at the mysterious shell, Titus Skyflood scoffed, “Hmph, let’s see how my Divine Demon Saber fares against your thing.”
“I’d like to see that too,” Evan said with a laugh from inside, though he felt a bit uneasy—if the Divine Demon Saber could break through here, things would get troublesome.
Hearing Evan’s words, Titus Skyflood pulled out the Divine Demon Saber and chopped straight down onto the shell. Only a squealing sound was heard—he barely budged the shell at all. Evan felt the world shake before him, then focused and saw Titus had already put the saber away, while the shell remained completely unharmed. Only then did he relax.
“So, Titus Skyflood—how was it? Any luck?” Evan said with a smile.
Titus Skyflood was utterly stunned, staring at the shell in disbelief. “What exactly is this thing?”
“I’m not telling you,” Evan replied.
Titus Skyflood growled in frustration, “Annoying! Even so, you’re not getting away.”
Furious, Titus Skyflood was now set on trapping Evan inside the Emperor’s Barrier Domain, forcing him to back down.
Titus Skyflood also contacted Damon Darklord, hoping to join forces to break open the Strange Spiral Shell. Damon Darklord was delighted when he heard Evan Yang was already trapped by Titus.
“What’s up?” Lan Wind asked curiously.
“Titus Skyflood just sent word—Evan Yang is trapped by him, right now in the Chaos Current outside the Immortal Realm,” Damon Darklord said.
“Great, that’s fantastic! Evan Yang won’t escape this time,” Lan Wind said, overjoyed.
“It’s good news, but how do we trick Titus Skyflood and get Evan’s treasures for ourselves?” Damon Darklord frowned.
“That’s definitely tricky. Last time we fooled Titus with the Nether Shard Realm, but I doubt we’ll pull it off again,” Lan Wind said.
“No matter what, we have to get those three God-grade artifacts—even if it means falling out with Titus Skyflood,” Damon Darklord said.
“Let’s go, we’ll see how things play out when we get there,” Lan Wind said.
Damon Darklord nodded, then set out with Lan Wind and Lord Ridge toward the Chaos Current outside the Immortal Realm.
Evan Yang was trapped inside the Emperor’s Barrier Domain for several months, trying countless methods, but Titus Skyflood saw through them all. “Titus Skyflood, you’ve kept me here so long—are you planning to stick it out forever?” Evan asked.
“Unless you give in, you’ll stay in that damned treasure forever,” Titus Skyflood said.
Evan Yang thought for a moment, then laughed, “Worst case, I’ll just cultivate inside the treasure. Go ahead, keep it up.”
With that, Evan’s voice faded away as he began cultivating inside the Sky-Piercing Tower within the shell, ignoring everything outside.
With Evan silent, Titus Skyflood flew into a rage. Now, all he could do was clutch the shell in one hand, clueless how to force Evan out or make him surrender.
Time passed. Damon Darklord arrived, while Lan Wind, Lord Ridge, and Palace Lord Rowan waited in the shadows.
“You’re finally here,” Titus Skyflood said with a smile.
“Where is he?” Damon Darklord asked curiously.
Titus Skyflood took out the Strange Spiral Shell and said, “It’s right here.”
“This? It’s so tiny?” Damon Darklord eyed the shell skeptically.
“Yeah, don’t underestimate it. Even my Divine Demon Saber couldn’t break it—this thing is terrifying,” Evan Yang said.
