So, the pressure on the kitchen was huge today.
The second day of the banquet.
At dawn, Cherry Miller was already outside the villa in her business attire. After a brief meeting with the staff, she assigned everyone their tasks.
Today's theme is free socializing.
All the guests could freely choose to relax at the villa, take a walk up the mountain, visit the hot spring area, or just gather to chat—anything was allowed.
It was a day for everyone to connect and communicate.
It was very laid-back, with no special requirements.
But for the housekeeper, the expectations were extremely high.
This meant Cherry Miller had to coordinate everything, making sure everyone had fun, was satisfied, and stayed safe.
Up on the mountain, every few steps there was a simple pavilion stocked with fresh pastries, tea, and fruit for guests to enjoy as they explored.
I heard from the kitchen that they urgently needed flower petals, so I knew you’d come here.
When Cherry Miller received the kitchen's urgent request, she immediately rolled up her sleeves and went in to take charge.
"Add thirty more portions of Dessert Set A and deliver them to the pavilions at the summit and halfway up the mountain. The rest goes to the workers as extra meals. For Set B, check hygiene strictly and make sure everything is fresh—if anything looks even a little spoiled, replace it all. Set C, make two buffets: one in the villa area and one by the garden pool, so guests swimming can grab food whenever they need to refuel."
"Also, today's fruit should mainly be the seasonal ones sent by the Yin family, with tropical fruits as a supplement. Keep the juicer running—ladies love juice, so send it over promptly." Cherry Miller stood in the kitchen, calmly directing everyone. "And remember, change the napkins every hour and disinfect the used ones right away. Got it?"
"Got it!" the kitchen staff answered in unison.
Cherry Miller nodded. "Any other questions?"
"Ms. Miller!" someone raised their hand. "My assistants were sent to handle the mountain food stations today, so I urgently need help picking flower petals in the garden. Could I get two people assigned to me?"
Cherry Miller immediately turned to look at the others.
The others all shook their heads. "Ms. Miller, we've all got plenty to do ourselves. We really can't spare anyone."
Cherry Miller asked right away, "What kind of flower petals do you need?"
"We need edible rose petals and chrysanthemum petals."
Cherry Miller responded immediately, "Okay, I'll help you pick them. Everyone, back to your posts."
Once the tasks were divided, Cherry Miller put on her apron, grabbed a flower basket, and headed to the greenhouse.
All the flowers grown in the greenhouse were both edible and decorative.
So, they could be supplied in bulk regardless of the season.
At this time, the guests at Sunset Manor were all outside enjoying themselves. No one came to the greenhouse to admire flowers in this season—wasn't the garden outside fragrant enough? Out there, you could enjoy the flowers and the refreshing mountain breeze at the same time...
So, aside from the greenhouse workers, Cherry Miller was the only one here.
Cherry Miller didn’t ask the greenhouse staff for help—they were busy watering, pest control, fertilizing, and dividing plants. Picking petals was left to her alone.
She put on her gloves and started picking petals.
She’d just picked a few when she turned around, and accidentally bumped right into someone.
"Sorry, I didn’t see anyone behind me. Are you okay?" Cherry Miller apologized instinctively, thinking she’d run into one of the greenhouse workers.
"It’s fine." Ethan Yin’s unique voice sounded gently behind her.
Cherry Miller almost thought she was hearing things!
Did she really just hear Ethan Yin’s voice?
How could that be?
Shouldn’t he be outside chatting with the VIP guests right now?
Why was he here?
Cherry Miller stiffly turned around and, looking up, saw Ethan Yin in an apron, holding a flower basket, and wearing gloves—just like her.
Cherry Miller was stunned.
"What are you doing here?" Cherry Miller blurted out.

At first, everyone thought the seedlings wouldn’t survive, but surprisingly, not only did they live—they actually grew quite well.
When Cherry Miller arrived and started building the greenhouse, she found these seedlings and thought they were pretty interesting, so she didn’t have anyone remove them. Instead, she let them grow right by the greenhouse entrance.
Whenever the workers watered the plants, they’d water these too.
So, these sweet potatoes ended up growing especially lush.
"What’s this?" Ethan Yin, who’d never seen sweet potatoes before, squatted down and watched Cherry Miller digging around in the dirt. He couldn’t help but ask.
"These are called sweet potatoes," Cherry Miller explained. "They’re a really productive crop. Back in the day, they saved countless poor families from starvation. I didn’t plant these—the workers on the mountain did. I never expected them to grow so well."
"Can we eat them now?" Ethan Yin asked.
"I think so?" Cherry Miller wasn’t totally sure—agriculture wasn’t exactly her specialty.
Ethan Yin picked up his phone and made a call. In a few minutes, Quentin Sheng arrived.
As soon as Quentin Sheng arrived, he said, "I just asked—the worker who planted the sweet potatoes said this whole patch is a gift for you, young master. It’s not quite harvest season yet, but you can eat them now. These sweet potatoes were all watered with mountain spring water, so they’ll taste amazing!"
Ethan Yin’s eyes lit up. He turned to Cherry Miller and said, "What do you think—should we give the guests a little extra treat?"
Cherry Miller thought for a moment, then replied, "I think that’s a great idea."
With that, the three of them started digging up sweet potatoes together.
Maybe it was just more fun with more people, but Ethan Yin—usually a pampered young master—ended up digging super fast. In no time, he’d unearthed a whole row of sweet potatoes.
Cherry Miller looked at the plump sweet potatoes scattered on the ground and felt her mood brighten. She laughed, "This extra treat is definitely down-to-earth. I wonder if those VIP guests will go for it."
"Everything from Sunset Manor is top-notch. If they don’t appreciate it, that’s their loss," Ethan Yin said proudly. "And I dug these up myself!"
Cherry Miller stifled a laugh and teased, "Yes, yes, they’re practically glowing with gold!"
They both burst out laughing.
Quentin Sheng was behind them, picking up sweet potatoes. Watching his young master and Cherry Miller laughing and chatting, he started to wonder: Weren’t they supposed to have broken up? Why did it look like they’d made up again? Were all those breakups just for show? Did they really get back together?
Quentin Sheng stroked his chin, deep in thought. Should he report this to the chairman?
Ethan Yin and Quentin Sheng carried a huge basket of sweet potatoes back to the kitchen.
The chefs in the kitchen were stunned: Where did all these sweet potatoes come from?
Ethan Yin pointed to the sweet potatoes and said, "I have no idea how to cook these. You guys figure it out! Let’s give everyone a little extra for lunch!"
"Yes, young master," the head chef replied immediately. "These sweet potatoes look fantastic. We can steam them, stir-fry them, make candied sweet potatoes, and even cook the leaves as a dish."
"Alright, you do your thing," Ethan Yin said. He glanced at Cherry Miller behind him and gave her a meaningful smile. "I dug these up with Housekeeper Cherry myself, so don’t waste them, okay?"
"Got it!" everyone in the kitchen replied in unison.
Cherry Miller couldn’t shake the feeling that everyone was looking at her a little strangely. Her cheeks started to burn.
Ahem, they probably didn’t mean anything by it, right?
It was just digging up sweet potatoes together, that’s all.
"I’m going to check out some other places." Cherry Miller couldn’t handle Ethan Yin’s burning gaze and hurried away.
In the distance, Yina Yin saw Cherry Miller rushing off with her head down and couldn’t help saying to the others, "Cherry’s been totally worn out these past few days. With so many people here, she’s had to coordinate everything herself. Huh? Isn’t that my brother? Were they just together?"
As soon as she finished, Shang Xiaojin, Jing Shaohuai, Mo Yumomo, Jiang Yunchen, Yun Shuang, and Mu Ziyue all looked up at once, glancing over at Cherry Miller and Ethan Yin.
"Were they secretly meeting up just now?" Yin Yuzhen blurted out. "But didn’t they break up ages ago?"
