Summon Heavenly Thunder, Slay the Treacherous

1/5/2026

Ryan Ling didn’t hesitate for a second—he nodded as soon as the Ghost Elder spoke. This thunder-element Immortal art was his ace in the hole, crafted just for this showdown. It was his hardest-hitting move, the kind of technique that could blow away anything in its path.

He’d originally wanted to unleash it on Quentin Qin, but honestly, Quentin was way too much of a lightweight—not even worth the effort. Saving it for Justin Qin, his old man, was way more satisfying.

"All together—take him down! If we don’t fry this monster today, Jinling’s done for!" Justin Qin roared, his voice shaking the arena. Right now, Ryan wasn’t just a guy to them—he was pure nightmare fuel.

Spurred on by Justin, the other four Earth-Tier masters didn’t even blink. They went all out, and the Earth-Tier Void Realm aura in the arena shot up to max.

The real kicker? Their peak-grade artifacts fused together—packing enough firepower to rival a Dao Artifact. Ryan’s own defenses were tough as nails, and his wood-element Immortal arts could shrug off thunder, but up against these ‘quasi-Dao Artifacts,’ he was getting hammered.

In a flash, Ryan’s clothes started ripping, and blood streaks began to show on his skin.

Five Earth-Tier Void Realm bosses going all in—their power was off the charts. Ryan was tough as hell, but without a killer move, he’d be flattened.

"He’s cracking—this punk’s about to fold! Push harder and we’ll finish him!" Justin Qin’s eagle eyes locked onto Ryan’s weak spot, and he was practically buzzing. The other four didn’t hold back. Five masters, peak ‘quasi-Dao Artifact’ power, and boom—the crowd nearly lost their minds. The six main streets around the arena exploded, cracks tore through kilometers, cars went flying. It was straight-up doomsday.

"This is god-tier fighting, no joke. Justin Qin and the other four are legends on the China Earth Rankings. With a battle like this, the capital’s gotta be freaking out—bet the heavyweights are already on their way!"

"Intervention’s a lock, but honestly, even if backup shows, it’s too late. The five of them together are just nuts. Even if Ryan’s a god, he’s probably toast."

"Honestly, five top-tier seniors ganging up on one guy? That’s kinda against the whole martial code—feels like bullying, man!"

"Shh! Don’t talk nonsense. You dare question the gods of Jinling? You got a death wish?"

...

At this moment, the crowd was filled with sighs, shock, and even regret.

It seemed that no matter how strong Ryan was, this time he was doomed.

"Ryan, if you don’t use it now, when will you?" Inside him, the Ghost Elder roared again.

Ryan jerked his head up and suddenly shouted, "Thunder, come!"

That shout itself sounded like thunder. With a boom, a bolt of lightning crashed down, blocking the combined strike of the five masters.

Justin Qin was stunned for a moment, but in a blink he shouted, "Don’t panic! It’s just a basic thunder-summoning spell, nothing special. Keep attacking! No matter what, we have to wipe out this demon today!"

But before Justin could finish, bolts of lightning erupted above Ryan’s head, sweeping aside the Earth-Tier Void Realm aura. To everyone’s shock, the lightning instantly formed a massive thunder battle-axe.

"Wh-what kind of move is this? How could a thunder-summoning spell reach this level?" Justin Qin was totally stunned. The thunder battle-axe was crackling with lightning, bolts swirling around it like dragons, and in a flash, their artifacts were smashed to dust.

"Thunder-summoning spell? You blind idiot—today I’ll show you what real Immortal-dao looks like!" Ryan didn’t hesitate anymore. He swung the axe at Justin Qin, and in an instant, Justin’s Earth-Tier Void Realm defenses shattered, his armor broke apart, and it was clear his body was about to be split in two by the lightning.

"No, this can’t be! Immortal-dao? Are you one of those legendary Immortal cultivators?" Justin Qin finally snapped to his senses, his face turning ghostly pale.

As one of Jinling’s top dogs, he obviously knew about ‘Immortal cultivation.’ It was insanely rare, something only the highest circles in China secretly practiced, and never in public. He’d heard that there was a mysterious sect called ‘Kunlun,’ said to be full of Immortal cultivators who saw normal humans as ants and didn’t even bother fighting them—their sights were set on outer space.

Rumor had it that when America landed on the moon, they’d consulted a Kunlun Immortal cultivator—this guy got treated even better than the US president. But those were just rumors, never confirmed.

"Only just figured it out? Not totally hopeless, I guess. Now go join your son!" Ryan sneered, and the thunder cleave crashed into Justin’s body.

"No—I can’t die! I refuse to die! I still want to break through to Heaven-Tier Void Realm, reach the Saint Realm, live to a thousand—" Justin Qin screamed like a madman, suddenly grabbing two nearby Earth-Tier masters as human shields.

Those two guys didn’t even have time to react before Ryan split them in half.

The other two, seeing that scene, didn’t dare stick around for a second. Their brains had only one thought: run for their lives.

"Trying to run? Die!" Now that Ryan had unleashed Thunder Cleave, he wasn’t leaving any survivors. With his thunder-element Immortal arts, killing them was child’s play.

In a blink, two more were slaughtered alive. Four Earth-Tier Void Realm bodies were tossed straight into the Hell Furnace, and with Quentin Qin already inside, that made five.

Right now, everyone was totally stunned, like they’d been hit with a paralysis spell. Even the smartest reporters were dumbfounded, and the livestream viewers were just as slack-jawed. Ryan had killed four Earth-Tier Void Realm elites in just ten seconds—these were top figures of the Fang and Shen families, known as ‘gods of Jinling.’ But in front of Ryan, they’d all turned into ants.

"Could Ryan really be an Immortal?"

"Duh! The only thing that explains those insane moves is this—he’s not just a god, he’s an Immortal!"

"Exactly. From start to finish, he never released a Void Realm aura—just something way more mysterious and powerful. Normal martial artists don’t have that; only gods or Immortals do!"

"D-don’t come any closer!" Seeing Ryan covered in blood walking toward him, Justin Qin’s face went deathly pale. He kept backing away, heart pounding like crazy.

"I’m only asking one thing—where are my parents?" Ryan grabbed Justin Qin by the collar, his teeth grinding hard enough to crack.

"I—I can’t say. You’ll never get it out of me..." Justin clenched his jaw, clearly hiding something.

"Not gonna talk, huh?" Ryan said, then squeezed—Justin’s leg snapped with a sickening crunch.

Justin Qin let out a miserable scream, his face drenched in cold sweat.

This was the first time he’d ever been treated like that, and the first time anyone had seen a Qin family member so pathetic. It was like an emperor getting yanked off his throne by a beggar and whipped in public.

"I’m giving you one last chance—if you don’t talk in the next second, I’ll crush your skull!" Ryan wasn’t being polite anymore. As he spoke, the thunder battle-axe hovering overhead moved right above Justin’s head.

"Not talking? Then enjoy your suffering! Just watch your parents get boiled alive! Hahaha!" Justin Qin was stubborn to the end, craning his neck and holding his head high.

"I’ll hack you to pieces right now—die, die, die!" The instant Ryan heard ‘parents,’ he went ballistic. The thunder battle-axe swung straight for Justin’s vitals.

But just then, a voice boomed from the sky: "Arrogant brat!"

In an instant, a Heaven-Tier Void Realm power swept across the sky—one of Jinling’s top three epic-level experts had arrived...
