Transformation Realm

Sean Yu was silent for more than ten breaths before he bowed to Joe Di and said, "Brother Di, I will wait for you here."

A sudden sense of shame welled up in his heart. In truth, Joe Di had not been trapped in Lostlake at all. Yet, the moment Joe Di emerged, his first thought was to repair the Dao Domain Guardian Array. Sean Yu had been trapped in Lostlake for so many years, always focused on strengthening his own power and cultivation. As for the Dao Domain—whether it prospered or was destroyed—he had never spared a thought, nor cared.

Joe Di smiled and said, "You don't need to wait for me. I have no idea how many years I’ll be here. If you reach the Void Sea first and your cultivation advances, perhaps you can even help me."

Sean Yu immediately understood. Staying here, he truly couldn’t help with anything—he would only be waiting idly. Rather than wasting time, it was better to seek out the Void Sea. Just as Joe Di said, if he found the Void Sea and advanced his cultivation, he might really be able to help Joe Di.

"Alright, Brother Di, then I’ll wait for you at the Void Sea." Without further ado, Sean Yu exchanged communication pearls with Joe Di and swiftly departed.

Only by stepping into the Second Step of Dao Ascension might he have a chance to help Joe Di.

After Sean Yu left, Joe Di immediately began setting up various guardian, concealment, and killing arrays.

Here, he was deducing the Dao Domain Guardian Array—even if it was just a corner, the time it would consume was impossible to estimate for Joe Di. He certainly didn’t want to be ambushed while immersed in array deduction.

Once all the guardian arrays around him were set, Joe Di sat at the edge of the Dao Domain’s broken guardian array. With the rules of the Great Dao circulating, his entire mind and spirit seeped into the shattered array.

In just a few days, Joe Di’s Dao resonance completely fused with the Dao Domain Guardian Array. Waves of Dao resonance began to emanate from him, long and unbroken, gradually expanding outward and forming invisible Dao Scrolls that could not be seen with the naked eye.

Within that long, unbroken resonance of Dao rules, Joe Di sensed a kind of Dao aura completely different from Dao Nurturing—a resonance that gradually became more and more tangible.

......

"Whoosh!" Out of nowhere, a sudden wave surged forth. Jaden Dai, who was searching for Joe Di, didn’t hesitate—he instantly drew out a talisman and activated it.

The talisman burst into a blaze of white light, sweeping Jaden Dai out of Lostlake, and in an instant, he vanished without a trace.

It must be said that Joe Di’s luck was quite good. He had wandered Lostlake for about half a year and never encountered this kind of space-slicing phenomenon. If he had, there would have been only one option—retreat to the Ninth World.

In Lostlake, the most terrifying thing isn’t spatial dislocation. Many cultivators can detect spatial shifts with their divine sense and simply avoid them. Even if they can’t find an exit, they won’t necessarily perish in Lostlake.

The true horror of Lostlake lies in these space-slicing phenomena. When they erupt, they resemble crashing waves. If you mistake them for ordinary waves, you’ll be torn to shreds before you realize it. Ordinary artifacts are useless against such spatial blades.

Jaden Dai has spent many years in the Dao Domain; how could he not know the dangers lurking in Lostlake?

He was furious—not only had he failed to find Joe Di, but he encountered this rare space-slicing phenomenon. Forced to use a top-grade Worldbreaker Talisman to escape the Dao Domain, he felt bitter; even he possessed only one such talisman.

He had held onto it for years, never willing to use it, since no one had ever forced him to. He hadn’t expected to waste it while chasing Joe Di in Lostlake—his prize was lost, and now another treasure was gone.

......

Joe Di’s arraycraft was derived from the rules of the Dao. Arraycraft, after all, was just a branch and leaf of the Dao’s rules. As his mastery of arraycraft advanced, his rules of the Dao flourished as well.

Joe Di had no idea how much time had passed. He only knew that, as he continued to deduce arraycraft, his Dao rules felt as if watered soil had sprouted a seed within.

Before that seed could sprout, his Dao resonance abruptly surged. Instantly, Joe Di felt his spiritual sea expanding wildly, with his divine essence multiplying severalfold.

Boom! It was as if a barrier had been torn asunder. Joe Di let out a long roar, his Dao resonance billowing and surging with newfound intensity.

The divine essence in his star-vein meridians surged like ocean waves, forming wave after wave of mighty divine tides.

With a single gesture, it seemed as if the space before him formed within his palm.

This was the Transformation Realm—compared to Dao Nurturing, his strength had increased manifold. His Dao differed from ordinary cultivators; each breakthrough brought leaps far beyond what others could imagine.

If he encountered that Dao Origin Monk now, Joe Di was certain he wouldn’t need to set up any trapping arrays—he could defeat the monk head-on.

Joe Di was in high spirits. He had just advanced to Fifth-Rank Array Grandmaster, and his cultivation had broken through Dao Nurturing to enter the Transformation Realm. He hadn’t even used a single Nine-Stripe Skycloud Pill, though he had at least two bottles of them.

Law array flags rapidly formed with Joe Di’s intent. Compared to Dao Nurturing, this process now felt effortless and free.

Joe Di calculated the passage of time. Although his breakthrough to the Transformation Realm happened in an instant, his closed-door cultivation had still taken three years.

To break through Dao Nurturing and enter the Transformation Realm in just three years—even if he had reached Dao Nurturing Perfection before—was a remarkable feat. Moreover, he had become a Fifth-Rank Array Grandmaster. Staying behind to repair the Dao Domain Guardian Array had brought him immense gains.

Joe Di continued to inscribe law array flags, refining them for a year. In three years, he had not only entered the Transformation Realm and advanced to Fifth-Rank Array Grandmaster, but also gained insight into the guardian array. While he couldn’t fully reconstruct the array, he could at least repair a broken corner.

The best materials for repairing the Starland Guardian Array are those containing the Five Element rules. Joe Di’s inventory was filled with such materials, all obtained from the Grand Ruins.

One array flag after another was refined by Joe Di and stacked beside him. When it came to repairing the Dao Domain Guardian Array, Joe Di was anything but stingy.

After half a year, Joe Di stopped refining array flags.

Even repairing a broken Dao Domain isn’t an easy task. Half a year of continuous array flag refinement was just barely enough. Aside from a few rare treasures, nearly all his materials were used up—including those found in several rings.

Joe Di didn’t plan to use law array flags to perfect the guardian array. Although he had inscribed countless flags over the past half year, these were for contingencies. If someone broke through the area he repaired, his law array flags could reinforce it.

As a Fifth-Rank Array Grandmaster, the guardian array he repaired was still much weaker than the original.

One array flag after another was sent out and anchored in the void—even two supreme Dao veins were dragged out and fused into the repaired guardian array.

With the implantation of two supreme Dao veins and the placement of array flags, the broken sections of the guardian array were gradually restored. Eventually, they merged with the distant black line and vanished into the void, undetectable even by divine sense.

The guardian array Joe Di repaired wasn’t as perfect as the original, but if Jaden Dai tried to activate a Worldbreaker Talisman in Lostlake now, he’d likely be blocked and forced back into Lostlake.

It wasn’t that the section Joe Di repaired was especially formidable, but the original Dao Domain Guardian Array was simply too strong. Once Joe Di completed the repair, the patched section connected the entire array, forming a unified whole.

You could say Jaden Dai was lucky to escape right after Joe Di finished repairing the array.
