"What's wrong with your hair?" Nathan Ye was in a good mood; even when others commented on his hair, he didn't get anxious anymore.

Everyone in the room were Nathan Ye's longtime colleagues and friends. Their bond was deep, and now they all gathered around to study his hair.

"Don't touch it, you'll ruin it!" Nathan Ye nervously shielded his head. "It's a wig, you can't touch it, or the hair will fall out!"

"Oh, a wig!?" Everyone exclaimed in curiosity. "This thing really is amazing—once you put it on, you can't tell it's fake at all. It looks just like real hair. It's only because we know what you used to look like that we can tell it's a wig."

Nathan Ye was thrilled to hear everyone praise the wig. "Of course—just look at whose craftsmanship it is!"

"Whose craftsmanship? Minister Ye, who made this for you?" Everyone pressed for gossip, their faces full of curiosity.

"I'm not telling you! Hmph!" Nathan Ye shooed the crowd away.

Nathan Ye's face flushed slightly. He sneaked a glance at April, feeling a surge of sweetness in his heart—as if the wig was their own little secret.

April's work at the Public Works Office continued smoothly from there.

Most days, she was in the office checking various projects and approving funds.
