She Went In

1/4/2026

Lily Bai took a deep breath.

"What’s wrong with me? I’m super handsome. Tons of female fiends are into me."

Lily Bai glanced at him. "You do look good, but you’re just not my type."

"I can shapeshift," Blood-Eye said. "Whatever kind you like, I can become."

"No matter what you turn into, I won’t like you," Lily Bai replied. "Because I already like someone else."

"Who do you like?"

"Why should I tell you? Move!" Lily Bai brandished Entwined Heart. "If you don’t get out of the way, I’ll make you regret it!"

"Don’t tell me you like His Majesty?"

Lily Bai took a deep breath. "Yes! I do like him! You can’t compare to him in any way! So give it up!"

"But you’re doomed to fail!" Blood-Eye said. "Mirage, Purple Fox—they’re all drop-dead gorgeous, and they all wanted to be His Majesty’s companion. Every one of them got rejected. You won’t make it either!"

"Whether I succeed or not is none of your business!" Lily Bai reached out, trying to shove him away.

But Blood-Eye is ranked second among the Ten Fiendish Elites—his strength is no joke.

Lily Bai’s shove didn’t budge him; instead, he pushed her straight toward the barrier.

His real intention was to take advantage of their alone time and pull off a classic wall-pin.

After all, once she’s back in the Demon Emperor’s Palace, he can’t get in and won’t see her again.

But—he actually shoved Lily Bai inside!

He’d accidentally pushed her right into the grand Spirit Barrier.

Blood-Eye was shocked and tried to pull her back out.

But the barrier kept him outside.

Lily Bai herself was startled, too.

What just happened?

Normally, only the person who set up the formation can enter a barrier like this.

Why can she get in?

She needs to get out!

But once inside, she realized: getting in from the outside is easy, but getting out... the exit is locked by a Restriction Seal.

She couldn’t get out.

A suffocating aura of death crept up behind her.

Lily Bai turned and saw the Riftsky Beast stalking toward her, step by step.

"Ahhh!" Blood-Eye screamed. "Somebody, get over here!"

Azure Flame and Baxa rushed over. When they saw what was happening, they both gasped.

Lily Bai kept backing away until she bumped into the barrier.

The Riftsky Beast lowered its head, bared its teeth, and let out a deafening roar at her.

Lily Bai clutched her ears as blood streamed from her seven orifices.

The Riftsky Beast transformed into a towering man dressed in black.

Golden eyes locked onto her. He reached out and gripped her throat. "Lucia Lu, how did you get so weak?"

Lucia Lu?

Lily Bai shook her head, struggling to speak: "You’ve got the wrong person... I’m not Lucia Lu! I just... look a bit like her!"

"If you’re not Lucia Lu, how could you get in here?" The golden-eyed man grinned. "Must’ve been reincarnated, huh?"

"Huh? No way..." she muttered, while silently slapping the barrier behind her.

Azure Flame and Baxa are right outside. Surely they’ll figure out a way to save her, right?

"Let me out, and I’ll let you go. How about it?" Riftsky said.

Lily Bai: "If I could get out, would I still be stuck in your grip?"

"Looks like you didn’t get a good rebirth," Riftsky tightened his grip. "Well then... I’ll just have to eat you. You suppressed me for a century—if I devour you today, that’s karmic payback."

Riftsky’s grip made Lily Bai’s eyes roll back; she couldn’t speak, and with blood pouring from her seven orifices, she looked utterly miserable.

"Let her go." Suddenly, a cold, deep voice rang out nearby.

Lily Bai rolled her eyes over—it was Shenxiao.

He’s here!

He found her again.

"You?" Riftsky grinned. "Perfect timing."
