The Dawn

I quietly watched James Grant. There was a warm smile on his lips, and it reminded me of Past Ethan Justice. Long ago, every time something was resolved, Past Ethan would always smile just like that.

"I really do hear about that guy all the time!"

I smiled and lowered my head, rubbing the cup in my hand and gazing at the calm surface of the water.

"Afterwards, I learned from the Emperor God that Zachary Justice was driven out of this world by them."

I looked at James Grant in surprise. He nodded and continued speaking.

In this world, Zachary Justice was like an anomaly. From the moment he awakened, he couldn't be controlled by the Emperor Gods. He walked freely through this world, experiencing everything it had to offer, doing something different every day.

The Emperor Gods tried several times to find Zachary Justice, but found they couldn't even restrain his freedom. The Emperor God said that later he made a deal with someone and finally managed to drive Zachary Justice out of this world.

This was during James Grant's first confrontation with the Emperor God, when he learned about it directly from the Emperor God. At that time, James was furious and fought the Emperor God, but of course, he was no match. After dying, he woke up to find himself back home, with everything unchanged and his powers intact.

Afterwards, James Grant became even more determined to overthrow the Emperor Gods. The Yinfolk living in this world were nothing more than tools for the Emperor Gods to draw power from. James had seen countless people break free from their obsessions and choose new lives, but one by one, they were taken away, and when they returned, they were just as they had been before.

James Grant knew very well what would happen if the Emperor Gods were overthrown—everything in this world would return to dust. But he had to do it. Life without meaning—because they were already dead.
