Palace of the Dragon God

On the back mountain behind Flowing Cloud City, Evan Chu followed behind Dominic Chu, walking slowly. He was beginning to understand his father's intentions.

After a while, Dominic Chu stopped and said, "Evan, I heard from Luna that you entered the second floor of the Book Repository?"

Evan hadn’t expected him to ask about this. "That's right, I did enter. I got a martial art manual inside. Why do you ask, Father?"

A mountain breeze swept across the hill, giving a pleasant feeling. "Evan, do you think I want that martial art manual from you?"

"No, if you want to learn it, I’m happy to copy it out for you to look over." Evan said sincerely.

Toward this father who was always lukewarm with him, Evan felt a subtle sense of resistance in his heart.

"No need, you keep it. If I’m not mistaken, your movement technique should be Profound-tier, right? You’re lucky to have found a martial art on the second floor."

"It’s a Profound-tier martial art, but it’s not a movement technique—it’s a sword art. The movement technique is just to support the sword art’s execution." Evan didn’t hide it; he’d end up using the Windchaser Sword Codex anyway, so saying it now was better.

Dominic Chu turned and looked Evan over carefully. "You’ve really had it rough these years. But why did you keep hiding your true strength? What level of the Xuanwu Realm are you at now?"

Evan hesitated. Judging by his performance today, he was at least at the seventh level of the Xuanwu Realm, but at the moment he was still officially at the fifth level, so he didn’t know how to answer.
