Taking Mina as a Disciple

2/14/2026

No one dared defy the Sea Dragon Hall Grand Elder’s order. Losing an arm and crippling one cultivation realm—if you had enough time and spirit medicines, you could eventually recover.

But to die here, or have your entire domain wiped out, was a price no one could accept.

All the God-Venerable experts who’d followed the East Sea Domain Lord regretted it bitterly, cursing that bastard for provoking the Sea Dragon Hall Vice Hall Master over his useless son.

He was definitely the biggest idiot in the Sea Regions!

Bang! Bang! Bang! Blood spurted in quick succession as several God-Venerables decisively severed an arm and left the battlefield.

A few who were only early-stage God-Venerables hesitated, but decided their lives mattered more—even if they’d fall back to God-Emperor, they had to accept it.

The East Sea Domain’s Grand Elder and Domain Lord were no exception. Under the Sea Dragon Hall Grand Elder and Evan Linfeng’s gaze, they crippled an arm and dropped a cultivation layer.

Evan Linfeng had his reasons for this. Right now, the old North Sea Dominion Lord had fallen, the Left Divine General’s strength had plummeted, and Mina’s mother had died.

Three mid- and late-stage God-Venerables had vanished, bringing huge losses to the North Sea Dominion Palace. Today’s civil war only accelerated the depletion of their elite forces.

So even if Mina inherited the North Sea Dominion Lord’s seat, she’d still face suppression from the other three domain palaces.

Now, with all the God-Venerables gathered here, one word from Evan Linfeng wiped out every late-stage God-Venerable in the four domain palaces—almost everyone was back to square one.

So, outside of Sea Dragon Hall, the strongest in the four domains were only mid-stage God-Venerables. No one could absolutely crush the others anymore.

"Vice Hall Master, they've all withdrawn. When are we heading back to Sea Dragon Hall?"

"No rush. You go back first—I still have things to handle here."

"Alright, I'll head back and report to the Hall Master."

The Grand Elder led his people away. The North Sea Dominion Palace battlefield quieted again, civil war halted, and Evan Linfeng and Silver Dragon's identities were now completely transformed.

Everyone now knew these two were genuine Dragon Clan, representing Sea Dragon Hall itself!

"The outside trash from the other domains have left. Now it's time to close the doors and discuss the North Sea Dominion Palace's future.

Same as before: Mina will ascend as the new North Sea Dominion Lord. Anyone have objections?"

Evan Linfeng was still domineering. The Left Divine General and Second Elder were all smiles—backed by the Sea Dragon Hall Vice Hall Master, Mina's succession was now a done deal.

"You... Vice Hall Master! No matter what, this is an internal North Sea Dominion Palace matter. Even as Vice Hall Master, you have no right to decide who our new Domain Lord will be, right?"

The Grand Elder gritted his teeth and stepped forward again. Evan Linfeng’s cultivation was terrifying, and he was Vice Hall Master of Sea Dragon Hall, but compared to the North Sea Dominion Lord’s position, the Grand Elder thought it was worth the risk to defy him!

If he didn’t have that kind of guts, he never could’ve secretly gathered so many rebels.

"Alright, just as you said—let me formally tie myself to the North Sea Dominion Palace."

Evan Linfeng grinned. Since he’d decided to intervene, he wasn’t about to back down.

"Mina! The Ghostshade Herb I risked my life to fetch from the Sea Dragon Forbidden Land—and I personally helped you unseal your talent and power.

Now, I intend to take you as my disciple. Are you willing?"

As soon as Evan Linfeng said this, the Left Divine General and Second Elder lit up with delight. The Vice Hall Master taking Mina as a disciple—not only would it instantly suppress the Grand Elder’s arrogance, but it meant the North Sea Dominion Palace would have real backing in the Sea Regions from now on.

"Mina greets Master!"

"Good. Consider this my greeting gift to you—now, rise."

Evan Linfeng reached into his Coiling-Dragon Ring and handed Mina a top-grade God Stone. It wasn’t the most precious thing, but to ordinary people, it was a rare treasure.

"Grand Elder, I’m now officially tied to the North Sea Dominion Palace, right? The apprenticeship ceremony is done—Mina is my disciple, and I want her to claim the Domain Lord seat that’s rightfully hers. Anyone still object?"

Evan Linfeng raised an eyebrow. The Left Divine General and Second Elder responded immediately.

"Congratulations to the Young Lord on ascending to Domain Lord! We swear to follow you to the death—never betray!"

"Grand Elder, what are you waiting for?"

Swish! The Frostbane Divine Sword in Evan Linfeng’s hand trembled—the Grand Elder’s forehead broke out in a cold sweat.

"We... also pledge to follow the Domain Lord."

"Heh, Grand Elder—are you out of your mind, or do you think I’m so easily fooled? After everything you’ve done, no one trusts you anymore."

The Grand Elder saw that Evan Linfeng still wouldn’t let up, and charged toward him, sword in hand.

"Vice Hall Master, what more do you want?!"
