Become a Concubine for Prince Ling

When Prince Ling heard the words "husband," his expression didn’t change much, but the hand hidden in his sleeve clenched tighter, his knuckles turning white. However, he soon relaxed his grip.

"Lingdang, have someone clear the snow in front of the door so no guests slip and fall again," Su Li instructed as she walked into the shop, only to see that wealthy young master had followed in.

"Boss Su, here, a membership card," Prince Ling said with a smile, opening his palm to reveal a small, elegant membership card for the Serenity Vegetarian Bistro. "Today, this young master holds the membership card and is the first to arrive at the shop. Boss Su, you wouldn’t chase me away, would you?"

Su Li looked at the membership card and laughed heartily, saying cheerfully, "Young master, thank you for respecting our shop’s rules. How could we refuse service? Please, honored guest, come inside."

Su Li gestured politely, and Prince Ling smiled as he followed her inside. "My family name is Li, Boss Su. May I ask what signature dishes your shop offers?"

"Young Master Li, please wait a moment. I’ll have someone bring the menu," Su Li replied.

Soon, a servant brought the menu. Prince Ling noticed the menu cover was made from carved camphor wood, emitting a faint, elegant fragrance. It was very beautiful.

Flipping through it, the contents caught Prince Ling’s eye.

Unlike ordinary restaurants that only list dish names and prices,

the Serenity Vegetarian Bistro’s menu featured one dish per page.

Each dish had an elegant name, accompanied by a short poem matching the dish, then a colored illustration showing the dish’s appearance. Below, it listed the basic ingredients, characteristics, taste, and more.

This single-page menu was unlike anything Prince Ling had ever seen. Just from the menu, one could understand the dish’s look, ingredients, and flavor profile. The illustrations and poetry made it both elegant and appetizing.

Flipping through several pages, Prince Ling admired Su Li’s ingenious ideas even more. He thought to himself that he truly had good taste to notice Su Li’s uniqueness, and his resolve to recruit this extraordinary woman grew stronger.

As for Su Li having a husband, tsk...

Prince Ling’s men were very efficient. Since Su Li was a local native of Haizi Village with a simple background, Ling’s men investigated her thoroughly last night and handed the information to him.

Of course, Prince Ling didn’t know that much of the information was doctored by Xiao Zetian’s men.

When he learned that Su Li had a husband, Prince Ling was indeed surprised and felt a faint sense of disappointment.

Because at first glance, he saw Su Li was young and clever, and assumed such a girl would be busy with business and probably unmarried.

But looking carefully at the information, it said Su Li’s husband was a live-in son-in-law who supposedly fled from disaster, not very bright, basically a fool.

Now looking at this smart and beautiful young woman before him, Prince Ling sighed inwardly: such a lovely girl married to a fool, what a pity.

Marrying a fool is no blessing, how pitiful. Neither romantic nor capable of supporting a family, no wonder Su Li was the only one busy managing everything; her husband was an unreliable fool.

Thus, Prince Ling’s gaze toward Su Li carried more sympathy and pity.

A remarkable woman like Su Li surely couldn’t be appreciated by that fool. If I were to rescue her from this misery, get rid of that foolish husband, and make her my concubine, wouldn’t that be wonderful!
