Light Lavender Formal Suit

Silence enveloped the inside of the car.

But it could not affect Andrew Han’s mood: a blend of tension, unease, and above all, a cold, unshakable calm.

No matter the outcome of this trip—

He would eventually have to face everything in his past-life memories, and also embrace the reality of this present life.

“This life of mine.”

“I won’t ask about the dust of the past, won’t pursue bygone days, but there must always be an answer.” Andrew Han’s gaze fell on the road outside the car window, a hint of freedom in his eyes.

He did not know.

Whether he truly was a reborn soul.

But he knew.

Even if he truly had been reborn, that was still the past life! Now that he no longer followed old hierarchies, why cling to the patterns of his former self?

“If I insist on reenacting the past.”

“Am I truly living as myself, rewriting regret and overturning old dissatisfaction, or am I merely becoming another version of myself?”

This philosophical question was far too profound.

Even Andrew Han found his thoughts a tangled mess. But suddenly, inspiration struck: he remembered Salty Fish Peace, the philosophy major on Southland University’s forum.

Leave professional matters to the professionals!

Andrew Han firmly believed this, so after a moment’s contemplation, he decided to find this classmate in a few days when he returned to campus and discuss his philosophical questions.

As for the present—

He curved his lips in a faint smile and spoke: “General Zhou, I was entrusted by someone to find a girl he can’t stop thinking about. I’m afraid I’ve troubled you with this trip.”

He had, of course, prepared this excuse for the search well in advance.
