Chapter 1137
Mana? Drink potions like water—I'll reimburse you double after the fight! Spellcasting? Are magic scrolls just for collecting dust? Smash them all, no holding back! When the battle's over, you'll get double compensation again! Use the Floating Fortress if you must—make sure Skyhold Fortress's reputation stays intact.
As long as you beat the hell out of these idiots, nothing else matters. If it takes gold coins, I'll bury them in gold just to crush these fools. Cloudspire Tower and Black Tower—those are the real powers here.
Damn, I've been racking my brain for ways to do something for Archmage Leon—and now these morons just delivered themselves to my doorstep. Perfect!
Diras, that idiot, really outdid himself this time—handed me a golden opportunity!
Pseudo Sky Rank Mana Crystals from magical beasts? Archmage Leon doesn't need those anymore. Magic potions? Archmage Leon's strength is such that he can brew his own Golden Transcendence Potion now.
Magical artifacts? Every weapon Archmage Leon wields is custom-made to suit his magic runes—there's nothing better I could offer... Star Sage Joey and Chairman Heron have their own specialties, but even they can't compare.
Gold coins? Archmage Leon has plenty. I was just worrying about how to curry favor with Archmage Leon—maybe get him to hand over one of those Golden Transcendence Potions next time he brews one... Shadow Tower's influence can't be underestimated.
Well, here's my chance!
Morgan Henry was grinning so wide his drool was about to drip...
Hell, if Rafael hadn’t just said that sending a Sky Rank against a bunch of Title Archmages would be as shameless as these idiots, I’d have already taken action myself. I’d have wiped them out on the spot. They’re attacking our allies—Dida La would be spitting blood, and there’d be nothing he could do about it.
Watching the battle below grow more chaotic, Morgan Henry’s eyes widened. He hurriedly used mana to transmit orders to the Henry Family’s mages.
Idiots, this is your chance! Damn it, don’t pretend you don’t know—this is the best investment you’ll ever get!
If we give it our all this time, the next slot for Archmage Leon’s Golden Transcendence Potion might just go to the Henry Family!
Whoever puts in the most effort now will get the next slot for the Golden Transcendence Potion!
Damn it, an opportunity like this—to fight off fools attacking Archmage Leon’s encampment—might never come again. Put in every ounce of strength you’ve got, like you’re fighting for your life!
Wipe them all out if you have to! Just don’t let those Skyhold Fortress bastards steal the spotlight!
Morgan’s words instantly made the Henry Family mages’ eyes go red. Everyone started pulling out their secret weapons—right now, they were throwing gold coins, but the payoff could be a mountain made of solid gold!
People’ll risk their lives for triple the profit. For ten times, they’ll risk their heads. But now? The possible return is ten thousand times over!
No matter how slim the odds, it’s worth going all in...
Nearby, Rafael shot a sly glance at Morgan—like he was eyeing a flock of fat sheep—and quietly sent a message to the Skyhold Fortress mages.
If necessary, use the Floating Fortress to take out a few of them—but leave the leaders alive. These idiots are attacking Archmage Leon’s encampment, so we’ll capture them and hand them over for Archmage Leon to deal with.
See those nouveau riche Henry Family guys? Don’t let them wipe out too many—just capture them and let Archmage Leon handle it!
Rafael quietly curled his lip.
Morgan, that idiot, is blinded by greed—he’s almost as foolish as the ones rushing to attack Archmage Leon’s encampment.
These idiots came to attack Archmage Leon’s encampment. Only Archmage Leon has the right to decide their fate—we’re just here to help.
Besides, these people are either Shadow Tower rats or Burning Tower mages. If they’re all killed, Shadow Tower and Burning Tower will blame it on Archmage Leon.
Dida La is arrogant enough not to care about the details. If he finds out his people died here, he’ll definitely come for revenge.
This whole mess is their fault. If we capture them all, the initiative is in Archmage Leon’s hands.
If word gets out, Archmage Leon looks magnanimous, Burning Tower and Shadow Tower get blamed for wrecking the alliance, and Archmage Leon comes out ahead in reputation and rewards.
This is the best way to curry favor, but Morgan—whose brain is stuffed with gold coins—would never get it...
Rafael smiled smugly, already watching the Skyhold Fortress mages capture a Shadow mage...
Cloudspire Tower and Black Tower have the fewest people—less than ten between them—but their average strength is the highest...
Cloudspire Tower and Black Tower have been through hell. The ones left are the strongest; the weaker ones fell long ago...
The mages from Cloudspire Tower and Black Tower are also capturing the defeated mages. If they can't control them, they take them out; if they can, they lock them up for now...
The chaotic battle raged on. Seeing several of his own people captured, Baili started to panic.
He looked around for Diras, but found Diras and Hubert had already taken their fight several hundred meters away—outside the encampment.
Realizing total defeat was imminent, Baili’s mind raced—and suddenly, he came up with a plan.
He hurled three bottles of Shadow Mist Potion in quick succession. The vials burst open, releasing clouds of black-gray mist that spread across most of the encampment.
Shadow Mist Potion is a combat elixir that blocks detection spells and heavily disrupts mana—usually used by Shadow Tower assassins to escape danger. But now, Baili was using it for a full-on frontal assault...
"Leon Merlin, that despicable bastard, murdered our closest friends and family! We'll destroy his camp—burn it to the ground!"
Baili roared and started unleashing spells wildly inside the camp. Everything set up in the encampment was getting wrecked—buildings protected by alchemical arrays were being torn apart...
The battlefield instantly became even more chaotic.
Baili sneered as he moved through the shadow mist, sneaking up behind a Henry Family mage and firing off three Shadow Arrows in quick succession.

"Leon Merlin’s lackey—die!"
After casting his spell, Baili didn’t bother to see the result—he kept moving through the shadow mist.
"Leon Merlin, today your lackeys die first! You despicable bastard, dare to kill our Shadow Tower mages—just wait for our bloody revenge."
This is just the first step, you damned worm—I'll take out your lackeys first!
The honor of the Odin Kingdom is gone, thanks to idiots like you. I know you—Henry Family nouveau riche, brains full of gold coins, just like filthy goblins.
All for profit—you’re all licking Leon Merlin’s boots. Even if that worm were covered in filth, you’d still grovel at his feet.
You disgusting bastards, go die. And those Skyhold Fortress idiots—don’t think we haven’t noticed you.
You fake-mysterious types—only you would use alchemical arrays like these. We’ll destroy your arrays right now!
And you Greendale hillbillies—you were born low, and even insulting you is a waste of breath...
You damned fools, just wait for Shadow Tower’s bloody revenge. You’ll learn that shadow is everywhere, just like light.
Leon Merlin, come out! Here’s the truth: we’re here to steal your technology. Once we get it, we’ll use it to make a horde of Sky Ranks—and you and your family will be the first we slaughter.
All the men will be killed. The women will be dumped in the poorest slums of the Odin Kingdom as cheap prostitutes—a single copper coin for a beggar’s pleasure...
Coward. Worm..."
Baili kept darting through the mist, shouting obscenities and stirring up more chaos—until, without realizing it, he’d reached the deepest part of the camp’s cavern.
Entering the cavern, Baili suddenly vanished, sneaking deeper into its shadows.
