After several years apart, Lydia Lin seemed even more beautiful than before.
Especially after her time in Milan, Lydia Lin exuded an increasingly irresistible charm.
Zach Zhao drawled, "Honestly, Lydia, I've liked you for a long time."
Lydia Lin's face darkened.
At that moment, she just felt utterly disgusted.
A loser who wasn't even worthy of carrying Charles Yin's shoes, and he had the nerve to say he liked her?
Mrs. Zhao immediately sensed Lydia Lin's disdain and contempt for her son.
Mrs. Zhao was about to defend her son, but Lydia Lin spoke first: "Alright, alright, we're done here. I should get going! Wait for my news!"
With that, Lydia Lin turned and left.
As soon as Lydia Lin left, Mrs. Zhao frowned and said, "Zach, even if Lydia Lin is better than Cecilia Gu, did you see her attitude? Our Zhao family can't accept a daughter-in-law like that!"
"Oh, Mom, why are you worrying about that?" Zach Zhao replied quickly. "I'm just begging her to help us get that money back! Once we're rich, we can have anyone we want! Remember a while ago? So many girls were throwing themselves at me!"
Mrs. Zhao finally nodded in satisfaction.
No matter how much of a jerk Zach Zhao was, in her eyes, her son was perfect.
Even someone as arrogant as Lydia Lin might not be good enough for her son!
Cecilia Gu had no idea about the shady dealings between Zach Zhao and Lydia Lin. She'd already been tricked by the Zhao family and was still fuming!
Fuming, Cecilia Gu stormed home, gulped down a glass of water, and was just starting to relax when the doorbell rang.
Mrs. Zhang opened the door and happily carried in an exquisite box.
"Mrs. Zhang, what's this?" Cecilia Gu couldn't help but ask, curious.
"Young Madam, this is a custom-made gown ordered for you by Young Master," Mrs. Zhang said cheerfully. "Young Master treats you differently! This gown just arrived from Italy—the designer worked nonstop for two days and nights to finish it! At tonight's banquet, you'll definitely steal the show! This dress will be the highlight of the evening!"
Cecilia Gu couldn't help but smile, her frustration instantly melting away.
"Since you've hyped it up so much, let's open it and take a look," Cecilia Gu said with a smile.
"Yes, Young Madam." Mrs. Zhang happily opened the box for Cecilia Gu.
Inside was a stunning white tulle evening gown, along with a pair of handmade, soft-soled maternity shoes.
The dress was specially matched to go with those shoes.
Most people choose their dress first, then find shoes to match.
But for Cecilia Gu, the shoes came first, and the dress was designed to match them.
That kind of challenge could only be handled by a top designer!
No wonder Mrs. Zhang said Charles Yin put so much thought into it.
He really did.
"Young Madam, would you like to try it on?" Mrs. Zhang couldn't help but ask.
Cecilia Gu thought for a moment, then nodded.
She was honestly a little curious about the gown herself.
With help from her assistant Wendy and Mrs. Zhang, Cecilia Gu quickly changed into the dress and shoes.
Ah... it was so comfortable.
None of the usual tightness or restriction she felt in other gowns.
The tailoring was absolutely perfect.
It cleverly concealed her slightly rounded belly, while highlighting her fuller chest and graceful neck.
Even though the shoes were flats, they still made her look tall and elegant.
No wonder the designer was world-renowned!
Just as Cecilia Gu finished getting dressed, a voice came from the doorway: "You look amazing in that dress."
Cecilia Gu turned around and saw Charles Yin walking toward her from the doorway.
Charles Yin took over from the assistant, fastening the last button on Cecilia Gu's dress himself.
Charles Yin's gaze fell on the two rings still hanging from Cecilia Gu's neck.
On their wedding day, Charles Yin hadn't even kept his own ring.
He hadn't planned to wear any wedding ring at all!
So, when it came time to exchange rings, Charles and Cecilia just put on a random diamond ring they'd bought.
After the wedding, Cecilia Gu didn't dare wear a million-dollar ring all the time, afraid she'd lose it and never be able to pay it back.
So, even though they'd been married for a while, neither of them wore a ring on their finger.
Charles Yin hadn't thought much of it—until Max Mo showed up.
Every time Charles saw the way Max Mo looked at Cecilia Gu, he couldn't stand it! It drove him crazy!
It was like someone was coveting what belonged to him!
So Charles had the jewelry designer at Yin Enterprises create a brand new pair of rings!
Since Cecilia didn't like wearing diamond rings, he figured rings would be better!
Charles had planned to happily show Cecilia the new rings that day, but then everything went wrong...
He hadn't even gotten the chance to show her before they ended up parting on bad terms!
Charles had thought Cecilia had thrown the rings in the trash, but to his surprise, she'd been wearing them around her neck the whole time.
So, Charles had been in an unusually good mood these past few days.
Of course, if Charles knew the only reason Cecilia kept the rings so carefully was because she was afraid of losing them and having to pay for them, he probably wouldn't be so happy!
Charles casually unclasped the necklace from Cecilia's neck and took the two rings off.
Even though he was thrilled inside, he still put on a proud front: "Why are you still keeping these? Just toss them!"
Cecilia Gu snatched the rings back and shot Charles Yin a fierce glare!
"Are you crazy? Why would I throw them away?"
What a waste of money!
Might as well sell them!
If he didn't want them, she could sell them for cash!
If she'd had the time, she would've sold them already...
Seeing Cecilia snatch the rings back, Charles Yin felt like his heart was blooming with joy!

The more Cecilia cared about the rings, did that mean she cared more about him too?
If Cecilia could read Charles's mind, she'd probably just laugh and say, 'You're really overthinking it!'
Charles held out his finger in front of Cecilia, signaling her to put the ring on him.
Cecilia looked up at Charles, completely confused. What was he doing, holding out his hand like that?
Did he want the rings back?
Thank goodness she hadn't sold them yet... If he wanted them, how would she give them back?
So stingy!
Wanting back something he said to throw away!
He'd just said to toss them...
Seriously...
It's so much money...
Cecilia Gu clutched the rings in her hand, feeling a bit reluctant to give them up.
When Charles Yin saw Cecilia Gu give him that little mole-like look again, his mood soared. He cleared his throat and said, "These are a pair of rings! Are you planning to wear both yourself?"
Huh? What did he mean by that? Did she ever say she wanted to wear both rings?
Charles reached out, took the smaller ring from Cecilia's hand, held her finger, and gently slid it onto her ring finger.
Cecilia stared blankly as Charles put the ring on her...
As the ring slipped onto her finger, a wave of tingling ran through her, and Cecilia couldn't help but blush.
This time, she wasn't blushing out of shyness—it was just that Charles's hormones were way too intense!
It was just her body's natural reaction!
Charles never took his eyes off Cecilia's face. When he saw her blush, he couldn't help but smile.
The assistants and servants had already retreated to the side.
They had no choice!
After all, Young Master's aura had changed so dramatically!
From cold and devilish to instantly soft and tender...
Honestly, only Young Madam had the charm to pull that off!
After putting the ring on Cecilia, Charles held out his finger to her again.
This time, Cecilia got it!
She finally understood!
Charles wanted her to put the ring on him!
Sigh... She could've sold the pair, but now she could only... sell one, right?
Resigned, Cecilia picked up the men's ring and carefully slid it onto Charles's ring finger.
The moment Cecilia slipped the ring onto Charles's finger, a strange sense of destiny seemed to wrap around both their hearts.
Both Cecilia and Charles's fingers trembled slightly.
"Have you ever put a ring on someone else before?" Charles suddenly couldn't help but ask.
"No," Cecilia replied instinctively.
"You're the only one," Charles added softly.
Both Charles and Cecilia froze, as an indescribable feeling quietly blossomed between them.
"Ah." Cecilia quickly lowered her head, not daring to look at Charles.
She hurriedly slipped the ring onto Charles's finger, her heart pounding wildly.
After putting the ring on Charles, Cecilia instinctively tried to pull her hand away.
But before she could, Charles grabbed her hand.
The instant their fingers intertwined, that mysterious feeling grew even stronger.
Cecilia's heart was racing, her eyes darting away, unable to meet his gaze.
Charles's voice grew lower and softer as he whispered in her ear, "This is our first pair of rings. Don't you want to take a photo to remember it?"
"Huh?" Cecilia jerked her head up, but only caught a glimpse of Charles's lowered eyes, missing the joy hidden beneath his elegant exterior.
Charles took out his phone, snapped a picture of their intertwined fingers with the rings, and then let go of Cecilia's hand.
Cecilia was slightly dazed.
She lowered her gaze, forcing herself to push aside that strange feeling in her heart.
Cecilia, what are you thinking?
He's wonderful, but he doesn't belong to you.
You've known that from the very beginning.
You mustn't fall for him. You can't!
If you fall for him, leaving will be so much harder.
Cecilia, calm down!
You're destined to leave the Yin family and Charles Yin.
If your heart gets lost here, how will you ever leave?
