Return

12/19/2025

Joe Di wandered alone within the boundless Chaos, uncertain of how much time had passed. Over and over, he refined his Primordial Power and Spiritual Sense, while repeatedly absorbing the chaotic essence around him.

As his cultivation gradually stabilized at the Convergence Realm and even began to edge toward perfection, Joe Di found himself contemplating whether it was time to leave Chaos and return.

If it were a Saint Seat Holder who had comprehended the Supreme Dao within Chaos and condensed a Dao Tree, perhaps they could remain here for millions of years without feeling bored, even believing this was the best place to pursue the Dao.

But Joe Di was different. Though he had condensed a Dao Tree, with three distinct Dao branches sprouting from it, he still could not grow accustomed to being alone in Chaos for so long.

No matter how powerful his Dao became, Joe Di was used to having others by his side—be they friends, family, or even strangers.

Joe Di sent his Spiritual Sense searching in all directions, seeking a suitable place to break through the Chaos and return.

With his current strength, he might not yet be able to break open Chaos on his own. But soon, he would step into the Genesis Realm, and then, relying on his own power, he should be able to pierce through Chaos.

As for where breaking through this Chaos would lead, Joe Di did not care. With his Dao as it was now, he would eventually return to the Five Elements Universe—or rather, to the new, vast universe they had built.

And the Ninth Layer of Divinity?

Joe Di believed that, with the Dao Tree in his possession, he could never again be bound by the Third Step. As long as he kept moving forward, one day he would cross into the Fourth Step—and perhaps even higher realms beyond.

Just as usual, Joe Di was tempering his Dao while his spiritual sense searched for a suitable place. Suddenly, he sensed a faint disturbance.

There is nothing in Chaos. Even their previous Chaos spaceship relied on burning divine spirit veins to traverse the void. Over time, without the fuel of spirit veins, the Chaos spaceship would also fade into nothingness. Now, sensing a ripple in the Chaos, Joe Di was deeply astonished and immediately rushed toward its source.

Within the time it takes for a single incense stick to burn, Joe Di saw clearly what was causing the disturbance.

It was a colossal spaceship. Though it appeared vast, in the midst of Chaos it seemed as fragile as dust, ready to vanish at any moment. The disturbance he sensed came from the supreme-grade divine spirit veins burning around the ship.

Joe Di had never expected to encounter another spaceship emerging from the Saint Seat Plaza.

In Chaos, Joe Di no longer felt the emptiness and void as acutely, thanks to evolving his Dao Tree and forging his own Dao path. But this massive spaceship in Chaos was the very embodiment of emptiness.

Joe Di recalled once reading a line written by a young child: 'The lamp burned a hole in the night.'

If one were to describe this spaceship lingering in Chaos with that phrase, it would be perfectly apt. Void and hollow—those on board might not sense it, but standing outside in Chaos and gazing at the ship, it felt surreal, like a hole scorched by light in the darkness.

In truth, this spaceship fueled by supreme-grade divine spirit veins felt even less anchored than that hole burned in the night.

The spaceship was now stationary; Joe Di guessed that someone had once again entered the boundless Chaos.
