Sect Master Hector Quinn was a legendary Innate Ninth-Layer expert, and yet he was killed in an instant?
"Everyone, scatter and run!"
A shrill voice shattered the brief silence.
Suddenly, dozens of Innate experts realized that they might be next, and all of them bolted in every direction with everything they had.
"Hmph!"
Ian Song snorted coldly, his gaze locking onto one of Tiger Leopard Gate's vice sect masters—the very one who'd urged everyone to escape. Ian didn't think he was being helpful; he was just trying to cause chaos and save himself.
"Go!"
The golden sword-light spun back, shooting straight toward that vice sect master.
"No—!"
His cry was cut short as the Golden Core Sword Qi pierced straight through his forehead.
The other two vice sect masters saw another comrade killed, and nearly died of fright themselves, wishing they had two more legs to run with.
Ian Song pointed a finger.
The golden sword-qi sliced past the throats of the other two vice sect masters.
"Pfft! Pfft!"
Their eyes bulged wide, heads full of unwillingness flying through the air.
Blood spurted everywhere as the two headless bodies crashed to the ground.
With both the sect master and vice sect masters dead, one fleeing Innate expert happened to glance over, and his legs gave out—he actually tripped and crashed to the ground mid-sprint, screaming in terror.
"Pfft! Pfft! Pfft!"
Sword-qi shot out again, cutting down three more Innate experts who were about to escape the manor.
Next!
Pfft! Pfft! Pfft! Pfft!
Blood splattered everywhere as four more people fell dead.
Thud!
In the blink of an eye, the sect master and vice sect masters were dead, and seven more comrades had fallen. One Innate expert, scared out of his wits, realized the sword-light was just too fast. He dropped to his knees before Ian Song and shouted, "Young Master, spare me! Spare me! I'll be your slave and servant!"
The sword-light spun again, cutting down another four.
The other fleeing experts didn't dare run anymore. With a chorus of thuds, they all knelt before Ian Song, begging for mercy.
Including the four sect masters, Tiger Leopard Gate had brought thirty-four Innate experts.
Now he'd killed fifteen, leaving nineteen—two of them were even Innate Seventh-Layer elites.
If he enslaved them, his own hidden power would increase dramatically.
"Very good! Since you know how to behave, Young Master will spare your lives!" Ian Song waved his hand, and the golden sword-qi dispersed, vanishing into the air.
He'd already used two out of three sword-qi attacks—only one remained, so he had to be careful not to waste it.
Back in the Secret Realm, he'd upgraded Puppet Mastery Divine Art to fourth grade, letting him use it ten times a day.
He'd already spent one use enslaving that driver, so nine uses remained.
So, he first enslaved the nine strongest, then ordered them to keep watch over the other ten. With only ten minutes left until midnight, once the quota refreshed, he could enslave the rest all at once.
As for the ordinary soldiers, after witnessing such horror, none dared move a muscle. Ian Song headed straight for the manor's basement to rescue General Chachai.
Two Tiger Leopard Gate guards stood watch at the basement entrance.
They had no idea what had happened outside, so when they saw Ian Song, they barked, "Who are you, kid?"
"The guy who's here to kill you!"
Two coins flicked out, ending them instantly. Ian Song strode into the basement.
At that moment, General Chachai was covered in blood, suspended in midair, but he remained remarkably calm, eyes closed as if resting.
"Hey, Old Chachai, you're pretty chill! Am I interrupting your nap?" Ian Song joked.
"Ah, Young Master Song, why are you here?" Chachai opened his eyes and was genuinely surprised to see Ian.
"Obviously, I heard you were in trouble, so I came to rescue you!" Ian grinned.
"Young Master Song, you need to leave—don't worry about me! This is a trap set by Tiger Leopard Gate!"
Suddenly, Chachai shouted out in panic.
"Enough, don't make it sound so heroic. I've already killed all the sect masters and vice sect masters!" Ian tossed a coin, snapping the rope and letting Chachai drop to the ground.
"Hector Quinn, that old dog, is dead?"
Though the fall was rough, Chachai didn't care at all—he was only anxious to confirm Hector Quinn's death.
"Of course he's dead! Otherwise, I wouldn't have time to chat with you!"
As he spoke, Ian sent a beam of Radiance of Life into Chachai's body. In seconds, all his wounds and even his shattered dantian were completely healed.
"Ha ha, wonderful! Wonderful! That old dog is finally dead! Pure Yang Palace's great vengeance is finally avenged!" Chachai laughed wildly, but tears streamed down his face. "Master, do you see this? That old dog is dead—you can rest in peace now!"
"Enough, Old Chachai. You should be happy now that you've avenged your sect, so don't be so sad!" Ian Song patted Chachai's shoulder to comfort him.
Thud!
Suddenly, Chachai knelt before Ian Song and kowtowed three times. "Young Master Song, thank you for avenging Pure Yang Palace. From now on, I'll serve you as a slave and servant to repay you!"
"Get up!" Ian personally helped Chachai to his feet.
Soon, Ian and Chachai walked out of the basement together. The soldiers who'd betrayed Chachai were terrified to see their general alive and unharmed.
"I won't pursue what happened before. But if anyone dares to betray me again, I won't just kill you—I'll wipe out your families too!" Chachai snarled fiercely.
"General, we wouldn't dare!"
All three hundred soldiers knelt before Chachai.
While Chachai was lecturing his men, Ian called Edward Zhao: "Foster Father, it's settled here. You can move in now!"
"That fast?" Edward Zhao was genuinely surprised.
"All four Tiger Leopard Gate sect masters are dead, and I killed eleven more Innate experts. The rest have all submitted to me!" Ian Song continued.
"Good job, Ian! You've done a great service for the Zhao Family this time!"
After speaking with Ian, Edward Zhao immediately issued the order to attack Tiger Leopard Gate.
Normally, even with the Ao Family and Kunshan Sword Sect joining forces, it would be impossible to uproot Tiger Leopard Gate's power in a single night. But this time, with the three top factions working together, the entire northeast changed overnight.
When the news broke, the other families and five remaining top sects were all stunned.
Especially Martin Lee, who'd long wanted a piece of Tiger Leopard Gate—he was furious, stomping around in rage.
With two more provinces under its belt, the Zhao Family's ranking among the Ten Great Families would rise by two spots.
Once again, the Lee Family was forced beneath them.
The next morning, Ian Song stepped out of his bedroom to find Chachai waiting outside.
"Young Master, you're awake—breakfast is ready!" Chachai said respectfully, looking every bit the loyal old servant.
"Enough, Old Chachai. You're a general, you don't need to act like this!" Ian Song waved him off.
"Serving Young Master is this old slave's greatest honor!" Chachai insisted stubbornly.
"Suit yourself, then!" Ian said, speechless.
