Seeing Ember Yang resolve the crisis, Evan Hale let out a breath and said, "That'll do for now."
When those four felt their hands burning hot, they flew into a rage and all attacked Ember Yang again. This time Ember snapped, "Are you guys done yet or what!" Then her mouth opened, and flames burst out—far more terrifying than before. In an instant, the four were scorched pitch-black, like burnt charcoal, covered in fresh wounds.
The prince cursed when he saw this, "Useless! You bunch of useless trash."
At that moment, Easton Dawn called for more men. Ember Yang was truly furious now—she knocked them down one by one, then set fire to many parts of the prince's estate. She kept running, while the others stayed behind to put out the flames. Ember escaped the scene, left the prince's private residence, realized she couldn't find Evan Hale and the others, so she wandered the city alone, dodging pursuers.
Evan Hale didn't show up right away; instead, he kept watching her training from afar.
Meanwhile, the prince was helpless and furious, raging because not only did he fail to catch anyone, but his estate was burned, and some precious items were destroyed. That was what angered him most.
He shouted at Easton Dawn, "You useless idiot! Aren't you supposed to be some kind of expert?"
"Her flames are really weird," Easton Dawn replied.
"I don't care how weird they are! No matter what, you have to catch her, got it? Search the whole city if you have to!" the prince shouted angrily.
"But if we do that, the king and others will find out what you've been up to," Easton Dawn said.
"What's there to worry about? If they find out, so be it. Don't they want a consort? Don't they want grandchildren? So just do as I say. I'm sure they'll turn a blind eye." The prince said.
"Alright, I'll send more people to search right away," Easton Dawn replied.
"What are you waiting for? Go!" the prince snapped.
Easton Dawn nodded and left. Soon, the city was swarming with guards, all searching for one person. Whenever they saw someone who looked like Ember Yang, they'd check her over carefully before letting her go if it wasn't her.
Lynn Lin and Melody Wood, out strolling, frowned when they saw so many guards patrolling. "What's going on?" Lynn asked.
"No idea. We'll figure it out soon enough," Melody Wood said.
Just then, a squad of guards came over, checked Lynn Lin and Melody Wood, decided they weren't the target, then showed a picture and asked, "Do you know this girl?"
When they saw it was Ember Yang's portrait, Lynn and Melody instantly understood, but both said they'd never seen her. Only then did the guards leave.
After the guards left, Lynn Lin exclaimed, "What is going on? Are those people from the royal city?"
"That's right. They're probably from the White Tiger Dynasty—and judging by the situation, Ember Yang managed to escape," Melody Wood said.
"That's great! Let's go find that guy and tell him the news," Lynn Lin said.
"It's no use. Didn't he say this is Ember Yang's solo training?" Melody Wood replied.
"Damn it, how can he just let things go like this? I can't stand it—I'm going to help, I have to find Ember Yang!" Lynn Lin said.
"That girl is still young. Alright, I'll go with you," Melody Wood said.
Lynn Lin and Melody Wood headed out together to look for Ember Yang. Right then, Ember Yang was hiding in a restaurant eating. When those people walked in, she was spotted, so a fight broke out—and soon everyone knew about it. Wherever Ember Yang went, a crowd chased her.
"Oh, come on! Dad, where are you?" Ember Yang grumbled.
Hearing that Ember Yang was being chased by a mob, Lynn Lin and Melody Wood quickly figured out where she was and rushed over.
When they found her, she was locked in a tough fight against more than a dozen guards.
Some of those guards had water attributes—they used water to shield their vital spots and fought Ember Yang hard. Others used powerful magic treasures, making it a real struggle for her.
Meanwhile, the prince and Easton Dawn watched from the side, waiting for Ember Yang to tire out before making their move.
Just then, Lynn Lin and Melody Wood burst onto the scene. Ember Yang was overjoyed, "You finally made it!" she said.
"If we'd waited any longer, you'd be wrapped up like a dumpling," Lynn Lin joked.
"Where's Dad?" Ember Yang looked around, noticing Evan Hale wasn't there, and asked suspiciously.
"Your dad insisted this was your training, wouldn't let us help, and is off napping at the inn," Lynn Lin said angrily.
"Seriously? Dad thinks that?" Ember Yang complained.
"Girl, your dad's doing it for your own good. How else will you grow? Do you want him to stick by you and protect you your whole life?" Melody Wood asked.
Melody Wood's words made Ember Yang realize something. She smiled, "I get it. I won't let Dad down—just watch how I teach these guys a lesson today."
With Lynn Lin and Melody Wood joining in, the others were no match at all—Melody Wood barely had to exert herself to defeat them.
Seeing his men go down so quickly, the prince was shocked and turned to Easton Dawn. "Isn't there anything else we can do?" he demanded.
"There is. We'll use the Royal City Guards," Easton Dawn said. Right now, only those troops could handle this group.
The prince hesitated—after all, the Royal City Guards couldn't be used lightly, only in emergencies. While he was wavering, Ember Yang rushed at him, trying to grab him.
Easton Dawn was startled and quickly blocked Ember Yang, saying, "Prince, this is beyond our control now. We have to call in the Royal City Guards."
The prince realized that if before it was just a chase, now his life was actually at risk. He hurriedly took out a tube, aimed it at the sky, and with a loud pop, a burst of colored smoke shot upward, like a signal device.
Instantly, people who'd been hiding in the shadows appeared. Melody Wood was alarmed—if this kept up, even more experts would arrive. She grabbed Lynn Lin and Ember Yang, saying, "Let's go, there are too many of them."
They vanished in a flash. Of course, the others weren't about to give up so easily, and scattered to search for the three.
"Prince, what's happened to you?" A middle-aged man in armor stepped forward.
"I was almost assassinated! Hurry, capture them!" the prince said, seizing the opportunity.
The armored man was the deputy commander of the Royal City Guards. Hearing this, he frowned, "Someone tried to assassinate the prince? Outrageous! I'll capture them at once."
He vanished in a flash. Seeing everyone chasing after the three, the prince took a deep breath and said, "Done."

"That move worked perfectly. Good thing no one noticed," Easton Dawn said.
"They shouldn't realize I'm the one who caused all this trouble," the prince said.
"Right, just keep following and find those three," Easton Dawn said. The prince nodded and joined the main group to search for them.
Meanwhile, Melody Wood brought the other two to the inn, but Evan Hale was nowhere to be found—instead, there was a note on the table.
"From now on, it's your turn to train. Don't look for me."
Seeing the note, Lynn Lin cursed, "That guy—so ruthless!"
"He's just doing it for our own good," Melody Wood said, realizing that what was meant to be Ember Yang's solo training had now become training for all three of them.
Ember Yang understood her dad's meaning, so she said, "It's fine. I believe Dad will show up someday."
"Right, but for now, let's get out of the city—it's too dangerous here," Melody Wood said, noticing many experts heading their way.
Lynn Lin knew Melody Wood was much stronger, so now she could only rely on her. Melody turned to Lynn and Ember and said, "Let's go."
Melody Wood led the two toward the city outskirts, but waves of experts kept chasing them. Just as they were about to escape the Royal City, a barrier appeared at the city gate, blocking their way out.
"What's going on?" Ember Yang cried in alarm.
"This isn't good—it's the White Tiger Barrier of Royal City. It's said to be so strong even deities have trouble breaking it. But our strength..." Lynn Lin exclaimed.
"We'll have to think of another way," Melody Wood said, frowning.
"We're running out of time," Lynn Lin realized, knowing danger was closing in.
Melody Wood saw that many powerful enemies were closing in, especially the first group, which had already surrounded their escape route.
The leader was the deputy commander, who shouted angrily, "You dare kill our city's prince? You're nothing but outlaws!"
"He brought it on himself," Ember Yang retorted angrily.
"Don't you dare insult our prince! Watch how I deal with you today!" the deputy commander roared, stepping forward. Melody Wood also stepped up, realizing this couldn't go on. She floated into the air and sat cross-legged, making Lynn Lin and Ember Yang wonder what she was up to.
Suddenly, a zither appeared in Melody Wood's hands. As she played, the music made the enemy forces stagger and fall, except for the deputy commander, who managed to stay upright but struggled to move. He shouted in shock, "You witch!"
