Inside the Beast Arena.
The entire floor had completely collapsed, leaving the surface covered in cement dust.
At the center.
Where Luke Lu had been standing, only a tiny shadow remained.
As the dust settled, everyone’s gaze focused there.
On the ground, Luke Lu’s head drooped.
His steel-like body was nowhere to be seen; his head had exploded, mixed with bits of dust.
The Three Maiden Spirits, who had been watching from the sidelines, gathered next to Luke Lu’s head, digging through the powder beneath it, which was mixed with plenty of blood and flesh.
"Did that guy really stomp Luke Lu straight into the ground with one kick…?" A man in a black tank top on the stands spoke with a trembling voice.
From where he looked, he could just make out some scattered bones.
"That kick just now… the power was insane…" someone said hoarsely, imagining themselves in Luke Lu’s place and shivering uncontrollably.
"Uncle Gu, that move just now…" Yvonne Zhu’s pretty face turned pale as she lightly bit her lip, glancing at the solemn Bryce Gu beside her, wanting to speak but hesitating.
"Even if it were me, the result would be the same." Bryce Gu sighed quietly, knowing what Yvonne wanted to ask, and continued, "He’s strong. That young man—he’s unimaginably strong."
"Who would’ve thought we’d see someone so young at the Vajra Realm here? Heroes really do emerge among the youth!"
Bryce Gu couldn’t stop praising him.
Everyone’s eyes shifted from Luke Lu’s remains to Evan Lin, who was now walking slowly toward Victor Frost.
"Wait, what’s Evan ‘Nine Mysteries’ Lin planning to do?"
Seeing Evan Lin heading straight for Victor Frost, a few people were stunned.
"He’s probably going to kill that guy too. Looks like the Beast Arena’s changing hands starting today."
Every time the Beast Arena opens, the profits are massive.
Seeing Evan Lin stomp Luke Lu to death with one kick and then walk toward the rule-breaking Victor Frost, many people started guessing what would happen next.
"I am Medicine King Valley’s Valley Guardian, Victor Frost! Do you dare kill me?"
When he saw Evan Lin coming toward him, Victor Frost’s face changed drastically.
The scene of Evan Lin killing Luke Lu with that kick was still haunting Victor Frost’s mind.
Now, Victor Frost deliberately announced his identity in a loud voice, hoping to make Evan Lin hesitate.
"A Valley Guardian from Medicine King Valley!"
"No wonder that guy’s so strong—he’s actually from Medicine King Valley!"
"I didn’t expect Medicine King Valley to send someone this time. They must be after the Drunken Cloud Plum."
"That explains it! Now I get why the Beast Arena’s rules suddenly changed—it was all to curry favor with Medicine King Valley!"
Hearing Victor Frost’s words, the people around immediately understood.
"It’s just a Medicine King Valley watchdog. If I want to kill you, I will. Why wouldn’t I dare?"
Evan Lin’s expression was indifferent. He walked up to Victor Frost, grabbed him by the throat with one hand, and lifted him into the air.
"If you kill me, Medicine King Valley will never let you go! Do you really dare make Medicine King Valley your enemy?"
Victor Frost coughed—he was badly injured, his body almost completely powerless.
Staring at Evan Lin in front of him, his eyes were full of venom.
"He probably won’t kill him. If he kills Medicine King Valley’s Guardian, that’s basically declaring war on Medicine King Valley. No one dares go against a monster like that."
"Medicine King Valley isn’t the same as Luke Lu. I heard their Guardians are strong, but the real monsters are the elders—they each have unique divine abilities, rumored to summon wind and rain. If he kills a Guardian, the whole Valley might hunt him down."
The crowd whispered among themselves, looking at Evan Lin with a hint of pity in their eyes.
Even if he doesn’t kill this Guardian, just by standing here, this kid has already made an enemy of Medicine King Valley. The road ahead won’t be easy for him.
"A mere Medicine King Valley isn’t even worthy to be used as a bargaining chip to threaten me."
"Too naive."
Evan Lin shook his head slightly, exerted force with his arm, and twisted Victor Frost’s neck with one hand, then casually tossed him aside.
Victor Frost’s corpse landed on the ground like a piece of trash.
Seeing this, the Three Maiden Spirits immediately pounced on the body.
"He really… really killed him!"
"Who is this Evan ‘Nine Mysteries’ Lin anyway? Is he really not afraid of Medicine King Valley’s revenge?!"
The whole arena erupted.
Evan Lin ignored all the chatter around him. With a single leap, he landed on the stands, and everyone instinctively made way for him.
"Sir!"
Not far away, Shawn Shi hurried over.
He looked extremely excited, and the look in his eyes toward Evan Lin was far more than just admiration.
Behind Shawn Shi, Bryce Gu and Yvonne Zhu walked over slowly.
Yvonne Zhu’s gaze toward Evan Lin was complicated—she couldn’t accept that this laid-back youth could be so terrifyingly strong.
Bryce Gu, on the other hand, looked entirely appreciative.
"Bring me the Drunken Cloud Plum. The rest—you can take whatever you want."
Evan Lin said this to Shawn Shi, who immediately agreed, rubbing his hands and running excitedly to the points platform.
On the points platform, the best item was the Drunken Cloud Plum, but besides that, there was a heavy iron staff and half a Great Strength Pill.
These things weren’t much use to Evan Lin, but for someone like Shawn Shi, who was only mid-stage Outer Strength, they were incredibly valuable.
Normally, Shawn wouldn’t even dare dream of touching anything on the points platform.
The crowd watched as Shawn Shi swept up everything from the points platform. They were all envious, but none dared to snatch it from him.
The impression Evan Lin had left on them was just too deep. No one dared test his patience or temper right now.
"So this is the Drunken Cloud Plum."
Examining the tender green Drunken Cloud Plum in his hand, Evan saw that the whole plant was only about two inches tall, its branches and leaves lush, every leaf glowing with a soft green hue that looked like a faint halo from afar.
The halo was very gentle, and its scent was light and elegant. Breathing it in made one feel refreshed and at ease.
"Little brother, looks like you’ve had quite the harvest this trip."
Bryce Gu smiled at Evan Lin and, after a moment’s thought, said, "Would you mind stepping aside to talk?"
Evan Lin glanced at Bryce Gu and nodded lightly.
The group headed out of the valley. As soon as they left, the rest of the crowd swarmed the ruined arena, scrambling to search every corner for any leftover items.
"Little brother, about this Drunken Cloud Plum—would you consider selling it? The Zhu family is willing to offer you a price you’ll be satisfied with."
