Chapter 566: Dilemma

For the next few days, Leon barely left the barracks, and at last, the final design was drawn up.

Meanwhile, the Crimsonfire Mithril had been smelted a few days earlier and delivered to the camp. What awaited Leon next was the actual crafting of the components.

Thanks to having planned out the design in advance, much of the hassle was avoided, making the crafting far less laborious. Even so, it still cost Leon a great deal of time...

Yet, as Leon was busy with the components, he had no idea that the Watson Family was making moves again. This began three days prior.

After Anthus had fled back in disgrace, Reid Watson still couldn't believe there was a dragon in the Merlin Family camp. He cautiously approached the Merlin camp, keeping his distance at first, but gradually let down his guard. After several days of observation, he finally concluded—there was no dragon in the camp at all...

Once he was sure, Reid Watson hurried off to find Anthus.

"Lord Anthus, maybe last time really was just a fluke. There’s no Frost Dragon in the Merlin camp, just as you said. I watched for three days straight—there’s no way I’m wrong..." Reid Watson grinned at Anthus. "Maybe that dragon was just passing by..."

"Really?" Anthus was still skeptical, the memory of that terrifyingly strong dragon lingering in his mind...

In fact, after days of going over it in his mind, even he had started to doubt...

The Frost Dragon’s appearance was truly odd... It was completely without warning.

It had come out of nowhere. And most importantly, why would a Frost Dragon that powerful willingly stay with the Merlin Family?

Maybe it really was just passing through... "Lord Anthus, should we try probing them again?"

"Not just yet..." Anthus looked troubled as he glanced at Reid Watson and shook his head. He wasn't about to risk another reckless probe; it was far too dangerous. If the Frost Dragon showed up again, he might not make it out alive...

After thinking it over, Anthus finally gave Reid Watson a grave look and forced a bitter smile: "Lord Reid, you might not know this, but after being badly hurt by the Frost Dragon, my strength hasn't recovered yet. I can't use my Demonform powers for now—maybe in ten days or so, I’ll be back to normal..."

Though his injury did affect him, it wasn’t nearly as bad as he claimed. Right now, he really didn’t dare make any sudden moves...

He could only put off probing for now, waiting until he was sure the Frost Dragon was truly gone before making a move against the Merlin camp.

He could only put off probing for now, waiting until he was sure the Frost Dragon was truly gone before making a move against the Merlin camp.

For now, all he could do was stall, putting off any action until he could be sure the Frost Dragon really wasn’t lurking nearby. Only then would he dare make a move on the Merlin Family camp.

He had no choice but to wait, biding his time until the threat was truly gone.
