What Kind of Planet Is This

12/19/2025

Charlotte Ling was beginning to gain some insight. She had witnessed far more powerful cultivators than Joe Di ever had. She had even seen the most elite cultivators step into the Third Step, and watched as they endured the great tribulation of the Third Step. For a cultivator, these experiences were immense fortunes and opportunities.

Now, when Joe Di asked, Charlotte Ling answered without hesitation, "Before I reached the Dao Fusion Realm, I witnessed a top cultivator endure the great tribulation of the Third Step. His blood stained half a planet red. Even while he was still unconscious and undergoing the tribulation, the vast, majestic aura of the Dao permeating heaven and earth left me utterly shaken. I believe the reason my Dao Fusion is so much stronger than Elder Yale's is because I was influenced by that experience."

Joe Di was instantly moved. Were there really such cultivators? Despite all his cultivation, he was still just an ant. The only difference from before was that now he was merely a slightly stronger ant.

Seeing Joe Di so shaken, Charlotte Ling apologized, "Brother Di, it's a pity I don't have the crystal sphere from that time. I was able to capture a trace of that Dao Rhyme, but if you asked me to describe it, I simply couldn't."

Although Joe Di's current cultivation and strength were inferior to Charlotte Ling's, his understanding of the Dao was not weaker—if anything, it was even stronger. Because of this, he fully understood what Charlotte Ling meant. If Charlotte Ling could clearly articulate such a Dao, she would not be an ordinary Dao Fusion cultivator.

The Dao is such a thing—if you understand it, you truly understand; if you don't, then you simply don't. To be able to explain it clearly would mean you are a supreme Daoist.

Joe Di said, "I understand. I'm planning to leave now. Charlotte, until we meet again."

With the Radiant Heart in hand, the most important thing for Joe Di was to upgrade his flame and then advance his Path of Artifacts.

"Wait, Brother Di..." Charlotte Ling called out, then immediately began to break the restriction on the ring in her hand.

This ring was originally her own true spirit world. Even though Elder Yale had taken it, now that she had reclaimed it, she quickly opened the ring.

After opening her ring, Charlotte Ling immediately took out a communication pearl. "Big Brother Di, let's leave a message. If I go to the Chaos Realm in the future, I'll invite you to come with me."

Di Jiu wanted to visit the Chaos Realm. Although Charlotte Ling didn't have the spatial coordinates for the Chaos Realm, she believed she could still find a way there.

"Eh..." Before the communication pearl reached Di Jiu, Charlotte Ling retrieved it again and spoke anxiously, "Big Brother Di, when I was advancing to the Unity Realm, Cassie Key sent me a distress message, but I didn't see it at the time. I'm so sorry, Big Brother Di. I must go save Cassie Key. Once I've rescued her, I'll definitely return to take you to the Chaos Realm."

Di Jiu had heard Cassie Key's name before and admired Charlotte Ling's sense of loyalty. Even if the message from a friend was sent thousands of years ago, she refused to pretend ignorance.

"I'm in no rush. It'll be a while before I go to the Chaos Realm. Xiaoshuang, just go ahead. Do you need my help?" Di Jiu replied. He had no intention of venturing into the Chaos Realm before reaching the Unity Realm.

This place and the Celestial Beyond form a single domain, and even Third Step powerhouses dwell here. As a Prime Realm cultivator, if he encountered such experts in the void, he might not survive.

Not to mention others—even Charlotte Ling before him was far from being his match.

Charlotte Ling shook her head. "No need, I can go by myself."

Di Jiu suddenly remembered, "By the way, you once told me that Cassie Key is a martial cultivator, right?"

Charlotte Ling nodded. "Yes, when we combined our Dao intent, we searched for opportunities together in the vast void. Back then, a Third Step powerhouse was crossing through a great calamity, and Cassie Key and I witnessed it together. That Third Step expert, along with Cassie Key, came from a planet."

"A planet capable of producing such powerhouses must have incredibly high laws of heaven and earth, right?" Di Jiu asked casually.

Charlotte Ling shook her head. "No, it's just an ordinary planet. According to Cassie Key, it's called Earth..."

"What?" Di Jiu exclaimed in shock. Earth? He hadn't expected that, even billions of light-years away, there was still a place he could call home.

"Big Brother Di, have you heard of this place before?" Charlotte Ling noticed Di Jiu's shock and asked in confusion.

Di Jiu took a deep breath and nodded. "Yes, I've heard of it. In fact, I'm from Earth."

Though Di Jiu's physical body originated from Hengyu Star, he was now certain that the Di Zimo on Earth was his previous incarnation. His memories of Di Zimo remained almost entirely intact, so when he said he was from Earth, it wasn't just empty words.

"Ah..." This time, it was Charlotte Ling's turn to be astonished. Di Jiu actually came from Earth.

What kind of planet was this, really? Several of the supreme powerhouses she knew all hailed from Earth.

"Is there anything else you want to ask?" Di Jiu inquired.

After a long while, Charlotte Ling finally said, "Big Brother Di, if there's a chance in the future, could you take me to visit Earth?"

She was eager to know what kind of planet Earth truly was.

Di Jiu smiled. "Of course. It's nothing difficult, and I've always wanted to return for a visit. Once I finish handling matters in the Celestial Beyond, I'll head back to Earth."

"Alright, then I'll go first. Let's exchange communication pearls. After I visit the place where Cassie Key encountered trouble, I'll come back to find you." Charlotte Ling once again handed a communication pearl to Di Jiu.

She didn't mention returning after rescuing Cassie Key, but she was well aware in her heart. After all these thousands of years, hoping to save Cassie Key was likely just a fool's dream. Cassie Key might have already perished, but she had to try. Even if there was only a one-in-a-billion chance, she wouldn't give up, because Cassie Key had once sought her help.

Di Jiu exchanged divine imprint marks with Charlotte Ling using his own communication pearl, then handed it to her and said, "Xiaoshuang, since Cassie Key is from Earth like me, I must go and see for myself. Please wait for me for three months. After three months, we'll set out together."

During these three months, Di Jiu planned to advance his Dao Fire.

Advancing his Dao Fire was not only for improving his artifact refinement skills, but also to elevate his Heavenly Maiden Saber to a higher level.

Charlotte Ling looked at Di Jiu with delight and said, "Thank you, Big Brother Di. Three months from now, we'll go together."

Di Jiu's strength was indeed not as great as hers, but she knew clearly that if she truly fought Di Jiu, she would almost certainly lose—even her life might not be spared.

Di Jiu's judgment and mastery of arrays and Dao were far superior to hers. Most importantly, Di Jiu's array skills were exceptionally powerful.

To rescue Cassie Key, one needed powerful array skills; otherwise, it would be a journey to death or a wasted effort.

The Quinn River Secret Realm had already opened, and all those who were meant to enter had done so. This time, the responsibility for opening the Quinn River Secret Realm fell to Winterhold Valley. Thus, an extra quota was given to Winterhold Valley, allowing them to send three cultivators into the Quinn River Secret Realm.

Yet, the Valley Master of Winterhold Valley, Quinn Su, showed little excitement. The reason was that Elder Yale, the only Grand Elder of Winterhold Valley, had gone missing.

Elder Yale was the sole Grand Elder of Winterhold Valley, and even his soul tablet was gone. Whether Elder Yale was missing or something else had happened, Winterhold Valley had no news at all.

For the past few days, Quinn Su's mind had been preoccupied with thoughts of Di Jiu. She felt that Di Jiu was far too mysterious. How could a mere Dao cultivator dare to stand tall in Winterhold Valley, even before all the other powerhouses, and even trade with Elder Yan without the slightest fear?

The more Quinn Su thought about it, the more uneasy she felt. Unfortunately, she had no idea where Di Jiu was, or whether he had been captured by Elder Yale. There was another possibility she was unwilling to consider—that Elder Yale might have been secretly dealt with by Di Jiu.

"Chen Yu Palace, Xu Hua, and Lady Yin Yue have come to pay respects to Elder Yale, the Valley Master of Winterhold Valley." While Quinn Su was still deep in thought, a clear voice rang out from outside the Winterhold Valley protective array.

Quinn Su instinctively stood up, knowing that trouble had arrived.
