Ethan Yin's expression was dazed, and he couldn't quite describe what he was feeling inside.
He staggered away from the Yin Family mansion, only coming back to his senses once he got into his car.
Ethan drove straight to an upscale residential complex, passed through the security gate smoothly, and parked by the roadside.
After a short while, a pretty, delicate-looking girl came running over. When she saw Ethan Yin, she immediately smiled and said, "You didn't even let me know you were coming. I was still..."
"Get in the car." For the first time, Ethan Yin sounded uninterested, cutting her off.
The girl was startled, but obediently got into the passenger seat.
Ethan quickly drove out of the complex and headed straight for the outskirts.
All around them were flower fields in full bloom.
But Ethan's heart was a tangled mess, like a ball of yarn clawed by a cat.
"What's going on with you?" the girl asked Ethan in surprise.
Ethan adjusted the seat back, leaned against it, and gently closed his eyes.
The girl watched Ethan's profile cautiously.
To her, he was someone she could never reach—a man who bought her an apartment and paid for her schooling, but always seemed to treat her as just another person.
He always seemed to be looking at another girl through her.
She felt a little jealous of that girl, even though she didn't know who she was.
She also knew she had no right to be jealous.
In her eyes, Ethan Yin was like a deity from the heavens—tall, handsome, wealthy, and powerful.
Many of her classmates had sugar daddies, but none of them could compare to him.
Honestly, if Ethan ever wanted to keep her, she wouldn't mind at all.
But Ethan only ever came to talk to her when he was feeling down, and never once crossed the line with her.
She couldn't help but feel a little disappointed in her heart.
Ethan spoke softly, "She's going to pick a wife for me."
The girl's heart skipped a beat. "Really? Will you... agree to it?"
"If it's her, I will." Ethan gently opened his eyes. "I won't let her down."
The girl turned her face away, looking out the window.
She felt even more jealous of that woman.
To think someone could make Ethan Yin go to such lengths.
"Even if you don't like the woman, you'd still marry her?" The girl couldn't help feeling a bit unwilling.
"If she likes her, then she can't be wrong." Ethan replied calmly.
"If you care about her so much, why don't you just tell her how you feel?" The girl bit her lip, her eyes brimming with tears.
"Don't say that. She's not someone you can disrespect. I only respect her," Ethan immediately corrected her. "She's been so good to me. Not only is she smart, but she's also gentle, kind, and considerate. Most importantly, she understands people—she knows everything but never makes anyone feel embarrassed. She's talented and accomplished, bringing honor to herself, her family, and her country. And she manages the household and cares for the children. So, how could I not like the woman she picks for me?"
The girl said nothing, and tears suddenly slid down her cheeks.
She quickly turned her head so Ethan wouldn't see her tears.
Ethan didn't know why he said all those things—maybe he was just trying to convince himself.
"From now on, I probably won't come to see you as often." Ethan said calmly, "I've left you enough money for college. From here on, walk your own path well."
After saying this, Ethan pushed open the car door and stood among the flower fields, letting his emotions out.
Actually, Cecilia Gu had mentioned several times that she wanted to help him find a suitable fiancée, but he always just laughed it off.
This time, he couldn't avoid it anymore, could he?
Angela Ma was right—his feelings for Cecilia Gu really were too special.
This isn't a good sign.
Forget it, it's better to use this opportunity to put an end to it.
From now on, I'll just treat her as my most respected sister-in-law.
Seeing Ethan Yin standing there lost in thought, the girl couldn't help herself. She dashed over and hugged him from behind, pressing her face greedily against his back.
Ethan was stunned, but he didn't push her away.
"Do I look like her?" the girl finally couldn't help but ask, "Every time you come to me, you're always in a terrible mood."
Ethan gave a bitter smile, neither denying nor admitting it.
"Have you never liked me, not even a little?" the girl cried, tears streaming down her face. "Not even just a little?"
"I'm sorry," Ethan apologized softly.
"I don't want your apology! Ethan Yin, you're an idiot! A complete idiot!" the girl suddenly turned and ran away, crying.
Ethan gave a bitter smile. "I really am an idiot. But you wouldn't understand this kind of feeling. I've already lost too much; this time, I absolutely can't lose again! If I disappoint her, she'll abandon me for sure! I can't—I won't allow myself to be abandoned by her! That's the lowest boundary my big brother allows me, a line I can't ever cross. It's fine this way. As long as it's what she likes, I'll do it just the way she wants. If she wants me to get married and start a career, I'll get married. If she wants me to have lots of kids, I'll have lots of kids. If she wants..."
Ethan suddenly couldn't continue, shook his head lightly, got back in the car, started the engine, and quickly drove away.
He might never come back to this place again.
Well, let today be an eternal memory.
Meanwhile, Cecilia Gu and Charles Yin drove again to Yuanshan Village.
Yuanshan Village hasn't changed much in the past three years.
But the roads really have gotten much better.
When the villagers heard that Miss Cecilia Grant from the Yun Family was here, they greeted her just as warmly as three years ago.
Charles Yin and Cecilia Gu even stayed in the same room they used to sleep in.
Cecilia remembered how, back then, Charles tried to prove his amazing dancing skills and even performed a courtship dance for her, so she insisted he do it again.

When Charles Yin heard Cecilia Gu make this request, he immediately replied, dancing was fine—but if they're going to do it, they'll do the whole thing!
Only then did Cecilia suddenly remember that after Charles finished his courtship dance years ago, she totally lost her composure and was seduced—then he took full advantage of her.
Before Cecilia could react, Charles was already rolling with her onto the bed, getting started on the second half.
Charles really is getting more and more beastly.
After Charles and Cecilia finished their sweet trip down memory lane in Yuanshan Village, Sophie Mo came running to complain to Cecilia again.
"Cici, you have to get this lunatic away from me! I'm going crazy!" Sophie Mo's usual calm was nowhere to be found ever since Julian King followed her to K City.
Cecilia held the phone away from her ear for five seconds before asking, "Huh? What did he do now?"
"He's driving me insane!" Sophie Mo yelled, then suddenly choked up, "He actually called all his ex-girlfriends over!"
"Pfft..."
Cecilia, who was drinking water, couldn't help it and spat it all out the car window!
Luckily, they were driving a convertible today, otherwise...
Cecilia could totally imagine Sophie Mo shaking all over on the other end of the phone.
Julian King's move... was just too outrageous!
Cecilia could only desperately comfort Sophie Mo over the phone, then urged Charles Yin to speed up.
She had to hurry back.
That unreliable Julian King!
Cecilia told Charles about Julian King gathering all his ex-girlfriends, and Charles nearly lost control of the steering wheel!
"You mean, all of them?" Charles, usually so calm, couldn't keep his composure this time!
Cecilia silently nodded.
The two of them exchanged a glance and simultaneously covered their faces.
Julian, Julian, what kind of trouble are you stirring up now?
When Charles heard how unreliable Julian was, he immediately put the pedal to the metal and raced Cecilia straight back to K City.
Cecilia said, "Let's go straight to his place and find him!"
Charles nodded in agreement, and with nothing but green lights, they shot over to Julian's apartment.
Sure enough, as soon as Cecilia and Charles stepped inside, they saw the whole floor packed with people!
An entire floor, seriously!
All the furniture was gone, replaced by tables and chairs, and every seat was taken by a gorgeous woman.
Every kind of beauty was here—different skin tones, heights, body types, you name it.
A quick headcount—there had to be at least two hundred.
Cecilia couldn't help asking, "Charles, are all these Julian's exes?"
Charles grimaced, "Probably just his official girlfriends. The flings don't count."
Just then, Julian spotted Charles and Cecilia and strutted over, all smug. "You guys came too? Pretty clever of me, right?"
We think you're a total idiot.
Julian went on, "It was a huge hassle getting them all here! Most have jobs, so I had to pay them well to show up."
Now we think you've got water on the brain!
Julian kept bragging, "Sophie said I was too vague, so I called all my exes here and introduced them to her, one by one. Now, if anyone tries to fake being my ex, there won't be any confusion. Genius, right?"
Honestly, you're so dumb we can't even look at you.
Cecilia couldn't help herself. "Julian, let me ask you something. Back when you were dating, were you the one making the first move, or was it them?"
Julian answered without missing a beat, "Me? I never had to make the first move. You know, they'd just come over and ask if I was single."
Cecilia covered her face and retreated in defeat.
"Don't tell me you slept with all of them." Charles was honestly speechless.
"You want the honest answer?" Julian looked at Charles with puppy-dog eyes.
"That's enough. You don't need to say a word." Charles turned firmly to Cecilia. "I don't know this guy. Let's go home and make a baby!"
Julian darted in front of them, blocking their way. "Wait! Hey, how did you know I called all my exes here? Was it Jo who told you?"
