Evan Yang nodded, then left with Gavin. Watching them depart, Spirit King Hanlin sighed, "What a pity, such a person just leaves like this. Truly a pity."
Master Spirit Caller sighed, "Yes, it would be wonderful if he were willing to help us."
Spirit King Hanlin nodded.
Meanwhile, Evan Yang and Gavin had already left, now heading toward the place they were searching for.
After traveling for several days, Gavin asked curiously, "I wonder how much longer it will take to get there."
Evan Yang shook his head helplessly, "I don't know. Spirit King Hanlin only told me the route, but not how long it would take to arrive."
"Then let's keep going," Gavin said. Evan Yang nodded, "Yes."
So the two continued on their journey, while Gold One and Elder March couldn't find General Skybreaker or any trace of Evan Yang, which left them troubled.
They returned to where Gold Two and Gold Three were resting. Seeing them come back empty-handed, Gold Two and Gold Three were frustrated, but they wouldn't give up so easily—they planned to expand their search.
Elsewhere, in a dark and damp cave, a giant bat opened its eyes, which flickered as if it could see everything before it.

Elsewhere, in a dark and damp cave, a giant bat opened its eyes, which flickered as if it could see everything before it.
His identity has been exposed, useless fellow. Looks like I have to act ahead of schedule—I'll take that city now." The giant bat condensed into a human form and said to those behind him, "Everyone, let's move out."
Instantly, a swarm of bats appeared behind him. They followed the man and vanished from the cave, reappearing above General Skybreaker's former city.
The sudden swarm of bats in the sky made the people below curious. Then, a strange attack descended from above, instantly causing all the souls in the city to act as if possessed, rampaging through the streets.
Seeing the situation in the city below, the man smiled and said, "Within five days, this city will be mine."
Spirit King Hanlin, upon receiving the news in Hanlin City, exclaimed in shock, "Damn it, they've started their move."
"Where is it?" Master Spirit Caller asked curiously.
"It's the city where General Skybreaker was just now," Spirit King Hanlin replied.
"Let's go. We must drive them out within five days," Master Spirit Caller said, then disappeared together with Spirit King Hanlin and their assembled forces.
When they appeared again, they were already outside the bewitched city. Seeing the chaos inside and the bats in the sky, Master Spirit Caller shouted, "You evil souls are too arrogant!" With a wave of his hand, a streak of light flashed across the sky, killing a swath of bats.
Threatened, the bats quickly retreated, while Spirit King Hanlin shouted, "Kill them all!"
The people began to exterminate the bats in the sky. Watching his bats being destroyed from the shadows, the bat man frowned, "Damn, that old man is here too. Looks like I'll need to ask others for help."
After speaking, the bat man disappeared, and control of the city returned to normal. However, outside the city, corpses were scattered everywhere.
Master Spirit Caller said, "I suggest you thoroughly investigate the other cities to prevent this from happening again."
Spirit King Hanlin replied, "Alright, I'll get to work. Thank you for your help this time."
"No problem, go ahead," Master Spirit Caller said.
After that, Spirit King Hanlin left with his people, and Master Spirit Caller, after thinking for a moment, disappeared as well.
Evan Yang and Gavin were completely unaware of what had happened in the city. At this moment, they finally arrived at the entrance to their destination. The entrance was strange: one hundred steps, which could only be ascended step by step—not skipped or flown up, or else one would be attacked by some kind of soul assault.
"This place really is strange," Evan Yang muttered.
"Should we go up now?" Gavin asked. Evan Yang replied, "Yes." So the two carefully began to ascend the steps.
Suddenly, a voice called out, "Who goes there? Stop!"
Evan Yang and Gavin stopped, curious why someone was here. A strange-looking person stepped out, with four arms and three eyes. The three eyes stared at them and declared, "This area is reserved. No one is allowed to enter—trespassers will be killed."
"Reserved? Since when did this place become an inn? You can reserve it now?" Evan Yang sneered.
"You dare talk back? Looking for trouble?" The man, clearly hot-tempered, snapped at Evan Yang.
Evan Yang smiled, "Who are you? Am I not allowed to argue?"
The opponent, furious, swung one of his arms at Evan Yang. Evan caught it and blocked, saying, "If that's all you've got, you won't be able to stop us."
Seeing Evan Yang easily catch his attacks, the opponent tried again, swinging another arm. Evan caught it too. The opponent snorted, "I have four arms—let's see if you still have hands left."
As the third arm stretched out, Evan Yang immobilized the first two and blocked the third, smiling, "Who says I can't?"
Seeing his hands unable to move, the opponent shouted angrily, "You!"
"Are you going to use your fourth hand too?" Evan Yang smiled.
"Damn it, I'm furious—go die!" The opponent swung his fourth fist, but the result was the same: Evan Yang immobilized it and tossed him aside.
Seeing Evan Yang and Gavin heading up the stairs, the opponent cried out in alarm, "Don't go up!"
"You still think you can stop us in this state?" Evan Yang laughed.
"Don't go up!" the opponent pleaded again, but Evan Yang ignored him and continued up with Gavin.
When they reached the top, they saw the scene inside: grass growing everywhere, some with lightning flashing, and some showing illusions.
"Are those illusions souls absorbed here?" Gavin asked curiously.
"Maybe. Let's go in and check, but be careful—don't leave me, and don't touch the grass, just in case," Evan Yang said.
"Alright, got it," Gavin replied.
Evan Yang entered first, with Gavin following behind. They walked through the grass but didn't touch any of it.
Evan Yang wondered why the strange person outside tried to stop them. Gavin was also curious.
Just then, Evan Yang spotted a woman not far away with her eyes closed. She had a red mark on her forehead, looked mysterious, and wore all black, surrounded by a faint black aura.
"There's someone here?" Evan Yang muttered.
"Be careful, her aura is terrifying," Gavin said.
Evan Yang nodded, "I will."
As soon as Evan Yang finished speaking, the woman opened her eyes. Her eyes flashed with white light before returning to normal. She stood up and stared at Evan Yang and Gavin, "Who let you in?"
"This isn't your place alone—why can't we come in?" Evan Yang retorted.
"It wasn't before, but now it is. So no one is allowed in—leave," the woman said, pointing to the way out.
"What if I say no?" Evan Yang felt she was unreasonable and argued.
"Then I'll send you out," the woman said, extending her right hand. A staff appeared, and Evan Yang immediately sensed it was extraordinary.
The staff gathered power, and the woman pointed at Evan Yang and Gavin, causing a whirlwind to sweep them up and send them toward the entrance.
While in the air, Evan Yang used his skill to escape the wind, bringing Gavin with him. Seeing this, the woman snorted, "You managed to escape, but next time you won't be so lucky."
Then, a powerful fireball crashed down from above toward Evan Yang and Gavin. Evan Yang was startled, quickly pulled Gavin close, and unleashed a ball of ice and fire to counter it.
Boom! Sparks flew as the attacks collided in midair. The woman was surprised Evan Yang could block her fireball and said, "You do have some skill, but you can't change your fate."
With a flick of her staff, ice formed around Evan Yang and Gavin, trapping them. Evan Yang sneered, "Wind, fire, ice—you have multiple attributes, huh?"
"You're right, I have three attributes. So, how about it? Surrender—I won't kill you since I'm in a good mood today," the woman said coldly.
Evan Yang laughed, "Surrender? Not necessarily. Watch this." With that, holy fire appeared in his hands, instantly melting the ice.
