Reveal True Form and Break the Barrier

"Wait for me!" Suddenly, a voice called out from the direction of the cabin.

Grace turned her head and saw Leon Zane rushing out in a panic.

He was covered in dirt and dust, shouting as he ran: "Saving two people is saving, saving three is saving too! Take me with you and get me out of here!"

"Leon Zane, you’re here too?" Grace asked.

"Yeah, yeah! I’m trapped in here too."

Grace looked at Colin Gu. "Let him go too!"

Colin Gu seemed to only want to keep Grace hostage. He nodded.

So Leon Zane hurried over, dripped his blood into Colin Gu’s palm, and left with Lena and Hope.

Hope was the first to leave.

She stepped out without any resistance, as if the barrier didn’t exist at all.

Then, she reached out to help Lena out, but found her hand couldn't go in.

You could only get out, but not back in.

After Hope left, Lena also started walking out.

But suddenly, several arrows of spiritual energy landed in front of her. She stopped abruptly and looked at Colin Gu.

"Grace, you see? They can go out. You promised to seal your own acupoints—now you need to keep your word, right?"

Grace took a deep breath and sealed her dantian and several major acupoints in her chest, unable to use any spiritual power anymore.

Lena glanced at Grace with worry, then stepped out.

Leon Zane trotted to the edge of the barrier, wanting to leave too, but suddenly turned around and declared righteously, "Colin Gu, I’m not leaving! You’d better let Grace go! Otherwise—"

"General, you can't blame me for not being loyal!" Leon Zane shouted behind Lena and Hope.

Lena and Hope turned and saw Evan Xiao standing behind them.

He was expressionless, his whole aura cold and intimidating.

"Evan Xiao!" Lena exclaimed with joy. "You’re back? That’s wonderful!"

She’d been worried about her son-in-law these past few days. Seeing him now, she was truly happy.

Evan Xiao nodded. "I’m fine, thank you for your concern."

As he spoke, Evan Xiao walked to the edge of the barrier and reached out to touch it.

This barrier was actually formed using the divine power of the Sacred Spirit Tree.

To break it, either he or Leon Zane would have to reveal their true forms and restore their original cultivation.

"Leon Zane." Evan Xiao glanced at him. "What were you doing in the cabin just now?"

Leon Zane snickered, "There’s a secret tunnel in the cabin that leads straight out of the city. I already blocked it off!"

Evan Xiao’s expression changed. "Why did you block it?"

"So he can’t escape!"

"Then tell me, how are we supposed to rescue anyone?"

If there was a tunnel leading outside, they could ambush the exit or enter the barrier from there.

But Leon Zane, that idiot, actually blocked the exit...

Leon Zane: "...I just thought, I can’t let Colin Gu, that little rascal, escape... Didn’t really think about rescuing anyone..."

Evan Xiao took a deep breath. "Reveal your true form and break the barrier!"
