"Pfft."
A flash of silvery-white sword light slammed into the starship’s shield.
Instantly, the thin layer of defense rippled like water.
Seeing this,
Song Yan’s eyes narrowed slightly. That last strike used only thirty percent of his sword essence.
Again!
The sword light flashed again. This time, the starship’s shield shook even more violently, on the verge of collapse.
"Your Highness, our shield is about to break! What should we do?" the two maids cried out in panic.
"Damn it! If it weren’t for the energy stones running dry, with Level-2 defenses on, that guy could hack away for a hundred years and still never break this princess’s shield!" Princess Nissa complained, deeply frustrated.
"Princess, maybe we should try talking to the person outside?" suggested maid Nana.
"No way! How could this princess possibly compromise with a mere native!" Nissa fumed, waving her tiny fists in anger.
"But our ship’s shield will be broken soon!" Lulu’s eyes showed a trace of worry.
Nissa’s eyes flashed with humiliation and anger. "So what? Either way, I won’t compromise with a native!" As she spoke, she unconsciously touched the silver-moon shaped space ring on her finger.
Outside the starship,
Song Yan kept swinging his sword.
He’d already used fifty percent sword essence to strike five times. The thin shield’s glow had faded a lot. He estimated that five or six more blows would shatter it.
As for why he wasn’t going all out, it was because he worried that if his power was too strong, he might break the shield and damage the starship itself.
Finally,
After five more strikes, the thin shield was completely destroyed.
"Listen up in there! Your shield is down. Come out now, unless you want me to take apart your starship next!"
"Damn it!" Nissa slammed her fist on the control console, shouting angrily, "That damned native, how dare he be so arrogant!"
"Your Highness, let’s just go out. Maybe he’s not hostile?"
The two maids tried to persuade her.
"Open the hatch!"
Nissa said in a deep voice. Without its shield, the starship was extremely fragile. It was her only hope of returning home, so she didn’t dare act recklessly anymore. If that damned native damaged the ship, she’d be stuck on this backward planet for life.
"Yes, Your Highness."
Under Song Yan’s watchful gaze, an oval hatch appeared on the starship’s surface. The two older elf women stepped out first, standing quietly on either side of the door.
Then, the young elf girl strode out with a haughty gait, her chin held high. She glared at Song Yan and demanded in flawless Yanhuang language, "Native boy, you dare destroy this princess’s starship shield—what punishment do you deserve?"
Nana and Lulu exchanged worried looks when they heard their princess speak.
The starship had crashed on Earth some time ago, and through its onboard AI, Nissa had learned several major languages of this planet.
Song Yan was briefly surprised, then let out a dry laugh. "So it’s Her Highness the Princess. May I ask which planet or star system you come from?"
"How dare you! A mere native has no right to probe this princess’s origins!" Nissa scolded loudly.
Faced with Nissa’s scolding, Song Yan wasn’t angry. Instead, he thought she was a bit brainless—acting so high and mighty on someone else’s turf? Either she was dumb or just plain clueless.
"Enough, Princess. Please rein in your temper. From now on, I’ll ask, you’ll answer. If your answers satisfy me, maybe your days here will be easier. If you keep putting on your princess airs, sorry, but I’ll have to teach you some manners!"
Nissa’s face changed slightly, but then she became furious. "Damn native, how dare you threaten me! Now I’ll show you what this princess can do!"
As soon as she finished speaking, a green scroll appeared in Nissa’s hand.
The moment the scroll appeared, Song Yan sensed a wave of energy.
"Whoosh!"
Nissa suddenly unfurled the scroll. Hundreds of crescent-shaped, green wind blades, each dozens of feet long, swept toward Song Yan like a tidal wave.
"Is that a magic scroll?"
Ian Song watched with a curious grin, his Azure Lotus Sword flicking, slashing, and tapping away. Despite the overwhelming storm of wind blades, not a single one could get close to him.
Still, Ian Song had to admit, these wind blades really packed a punch. Each one carried the force of an Innate Ninth-Layer attack.
Hundreds of blades flying at once—even a Foundation-stage cultivator would have to dodge that.
But honestly, the way Nissa launched them was totally scattershot—the coverage was way too wide, wasting a ton of power, and once they were out, they just drifted around in 'free mode.' Pretty clueless, honestly.
A few seconds later, the wind blades faded away. Ian Song didn’t even have a hair out of place.
"Got anything else? Go ahead, hit me with your best shot!" Ian Song smirked at Princess Nissa, clearly enjoying himself.
"You...!" Nissa’s cheeks flushed with anger at Ian Song’s teasing. After a moment, she reached into her space ring and pulled out a crimson scroll.
This scroll pulsed with even stronger energy.
"Whoosh!"
The scroll unfurled again in Nissa’s hands.
A high-pitched cry rang out.
With that, a massive fire phoenix burst from the scroll, its flames roaring. Instantly, the air temperature soared by dozens of degrees, turning everything around scorching hot.
The blazing fire phoenix beat its wings, transforming into a streak of fiery red light that shot straight at Ian Song.
"Slash!"
Several flashes of silvery sword light sliced through the air. The giant fire phoenix was instantly chopped into dozens of flaming chunks, which crashed down all around, setting the grass and trees ablaze.
Seeing this, Ian Song just waved his hand and sent out a flurry of palm strikes.
A gust of wind swept through, and the flames were snuffed out just like that.
"Not bad, but do you have anything even stronger?" Ian Song glanced at Princess Nissa, spotting a flicker of panic on her face.
Nissa hesitated. That fire phoenix scroll was already one of her strongest magic scrolls. Even if she used the rest, she wasn’t sure she could do anything to this annoying native. Of course, her mental power was too weak—she could only unleash magic scrolls, not really control the spells inside.
Thinking that, a wave of hopelessness washed over her.
Suddenly, an idea popped into her head. She called out to Ian Song, "Hey, native boy, this princess wants to make a deal with you!"
Ian Song raised an eyebrow. "You think you’re qualified to bargain with me?" he said with a dismissive smirk.
"Don’t underestimate this princess!" Nissa huffed, fishing out a pale blue bottle from her space ring. "This is Water of Life—it can add ten years to your lifespan!"
With a wave, Ian Song made the bottle float into his palm. He popped the cap and took a sniff—sure enough, a surge of pure, vibrant life energy filled the air.
