Defeating You Within Three Moves

1/18/2026

General Wesley Wu, do you have anything else to say now?

Ian Song looked at General Wesley Wu with a calm, unhurried expression.

"...You... you!"

General Wesley Wu raised his hand and pointed at Ian Song, his face livid with rage. He hadn’t expected Ian to be so bold as to wipe out all his thousand-plus soldiers.

"Chu Fan, just you wait—the Military Council won’t let this go!"

Throwing out that threat, General Wu turned to leave. He was truly scared of Ian now, worried he might be killed along with his men, so he decided to get away from this disaster zone as quickly as possible.

"Whoosh!"

A figure flashed by—Adrian Zhang blocked General Wu’s escape, his expression unfriendly and his gaze icy with killing intent. "Captain, should we just kill him too?"

Don’t be fooled by Adrian Zhang’s usual silence—he has a streak of brutality. When he kills, he’s faster than anyone else. Just now, at least a hundred soldiers died by his sword.

"You... you wouldn’t dare!"

General Wu shouted, trying to steady his nerves. Only by yelling could he suppress his inner fear.

Adrian Zhang’s eyes flashed with a savage light. "Wouldn’t dare? Killing you is no different than killing a dog!"

"Chu Fan, are you really going to go head-to-head with the Military Council?" General Wu was completely panicked now, shouting at Ian Song, his eyes pleading. He was genuinely terrified.

Even though the Military Council ruled this city with absolute authority, when its name couldn’t intimidate Ian Song, General Wu lost his nerve.

"Let him go!"

Ian Song spoke calmly. He was here to help the military fight the Goblins—if he killed General Wu, he’d be in total opposition to the Military Council.

Of course, that didn’t mean he was afraid of the military. If they came after him, he’d fight back and leave; if they let things go, he could pretend nothing had happened.

"Get lost!"

Adrian Zhang glared at General Wu and stepped aside.

General Wesley Wu finally breathed a sigh of relief, even feeling a strange sense of gratitude toward Ian Song.

A kilometer away, there was a pavilion.

Standing atop the pavilion was a handsome young man—Victor Wang, the Qilin Prodigy. Behind him stood several other elites from the Hidden Dragon Ranking.

"What do you all think of Chu Fan?"

After a moment, Victor Wang spoke slowly.

"Brutal, but lacking in wisdom!"

One of the geniuses sneered. Opposing the military is obviously foolish—the army has numbers and experts. If you provoke them, Chu Fan is as good as dead.

"Agreed!"

Victor Wang gently shook his head, disappointment flashing in his eyes. He’d thought Chu Fan was someone worth watching, but now it seemed he had strength and nothing else.

If Ian could hear Victor’s thoughts, he’d just tell him: "Ever heard the saying—one force breaks ten thousand techniques?"

Once your strength reaches a certain level, all schemes are just smoke and mirrors.

"Yanna, Lance, Tyson—you three go rescue Howard Cheng." Victor Wang gave the order.

"No need for them. I can handle it myself!" Yanna Zhou replied, full of confidence. She was already at peak Sun-Soul and had mastered the Zhou Family’s long-lost Arcane Armament Heavenly Chime Art.

The energy refined by that technique was insanely destructive, so her strength was terrifying—ordinary Law-Phase martial artists couldn’t match her.

Lance Leng and Tyson Tian were also on the Hidden Dragon Ranking—one ranked fortieth, also late-stage Sun-Soul; the other ranked forty-second, at peak mid-stage Sun-Soul, with one foot already in late-stage.

Victor Wang narrowed his eyes. "Don’t be careless! Chu Fan may be short on brains, but his strength is real. The two of them might not be as strong as you, but they can still back you up!"

"Hmph!"

Yanna Zhou snorted and vanished in a flash. She didn’t exactly agree, but she didn’t refuse either.

In a blur, a beautiful young woman suddenly appeared, blocking Ian’s group.

"Miss, why are you blocking our way?"

Brian Zhang’s eyes lit up as he eagerly asked.

But the woman's gaze skipped past him, settling directly on Ian Song: "Chu Fan, let Howard Cheng and the others go."

Howard Cheng, who’d been unconscious, suddenly woke up. Seeing the woman in front of him, he couldn’t help but brighten up: "Yanna, did you come here just to save me?"

Yanna Zhou shot Howard Cheng a glare and snapped, "Trash! I already said, Chu Fan—this bumpkin—is my prey, and you still want to butt in? If Victor Wang hadn’t sent me, I wouldn’t bother saving trash like you!"

Howard Cheng was so furious at Yanna Zhou’s words that he passed out again.

"Bumpkin, didn’t you hear what I said? Let go of that piece of trash!"

Yanna Zhou barked at Ian Song again, her tone growing even ruder.

She kept calling him 'bumpkin,' but Ian didn’t get mad—his teammates did.

A female squad member glared at her: "Demon girl, who are you calling a bumpkin?"

"All of you are bumpkins!"

Yanna Zhou started roasting the whole group.

She had everyone grinding their teeth in anger.

Just then, Ian Song stepped forward, fixing his gaze on Yanna Zhou: "How about we make a bet?"

"I don’t bet with bumpkins. I have to keep my dignity!" Yanna Zhou scoffed, curling her lip.

"You scared?" Ian asked, looking at her.

"Scared? There’s nothing I won’t dare! Tell me, what kind of bet?" Yanna Zhou snapped, getting angry.

"One-on-one. If you can take three of my moves, I’ll let you do whatever you want with me. If you lose, you have to be my maid!" Ian Song laid out the terms.

"What? You think I can’t last three moves against you?" Yanna Zhou nearly exploded.

"So, do you dare or not?" Ian pressed.

Yanna Zhou blurted out, "Fine, I accept! If you lose, you have to change your name to Bumpkin!"

"Deal!" Ian nodded, then beckoned with his finger. "Come at me!"

"You’re asking for it!"

Yanna Zhou didn’t hold back. She unleashed her Sun-Soul phantom, stepped forward, and slammed a palm at Ian Song.

She’d mastered plenty of martial skills, but her real specialties were palm and sword techniques.

She planned to crush him with one palm and make that annoying guy eat his words, so this strike looked ordinary but was her full power.

As soon as she attacked—

Ian immediately sensed a faint threat. Yanna Zhou’s strength was no joke—she was a top late-stage Sun-Soul expert, and this palm was as strong as a mid Law-Phase strike.

But Ian’s Sun-Soul was condensed from five Imperial-Grade Techniques, fusing all their strengths.

He raised his hand and met her palm head-on. Five-colored light flickered faintly around his hand.

Boom!

Their palms collided in midair, unleashing a deafening explosion. Yanna Zhou grunted and was blasted backward, while Ian soared into the air, instantly chasing her down and jabbing out a finger.

The force of his finger strike pierced into her, shattering her gathered energy, then morphed into a massive energy net that sealed her Sun-Soul tight. Ian reached out and grabbed her—Yanna Zhou was instantly captured.

And that made two moves!
