Origin Soul Power

She hadn't even appeared in person yet—just played a single qin piece, and she'd already received five or six million 'flowers' in tips. That showed how insanely popular Mooncaller was. For comparison, those girls who'd performed on stage earlier had only managed a little over fifty thousand flowers after all that effort.

"Mooncaller thanks everyone for your generous gifts."

A voice of pure enchantment suddenly rang out. Then, the upstairs room on the second floor swung open, and Mooncaller stepped out, dressed in a flowing goose-yellow gown.

With Mooncaller's appearance, nearly every gaze in the building—upstairs and down—locked onto her.

Mooncaller gently leaped—her body seemed as weightless as a leaf, drifting softly as she landed on the main hall stage.

Music began to play, and Mooncaller's body started to dance along with it.

Her movements weren't large, but they were incredibly gentle. Yet every gesture radiated pure allure, and the smile on her face could melt anyone's heart. It was totally different from the icy expression Ian Song had seen before—like she was a completely different person.

Her eyes were as clear as autumn water, but even more—they were like twin whirlpools. Just one glance could suck a person’s whole soul in.

Entranced. Utterly entranced. Every guest was captivated by Mooncaller's dance, unable to pull themselves free.

Invisible strands of mysterious energy began to seep from the crown of every person present, all converging toward Mooncaller on the stage.

Ian Song felt his own soul growing restless, as if the disturbance came from deep within. But with a single thought, he suppressed it. Still, he was startled—he'd almost fallen into her dance just now. If his spiritual strength weren't so high, he might've been lost in it too.

Meanwhile, Brandon Nangong and the others around him were totally mesmerized, their eyes glued to Mooncaller's dancing figure on stage.

This isn't normal!

Ian Song scanned the crowd upstairs and down—aside from him, not a single person escaped Mooncaller's charm. He could even sense the energy fluctuations in the air.

Clairvoyant Vision!

With Clairvoyant Vision activated, Ian finally spotted what was really going on.

On top of every person's head, a thread of pure soul power was leaking out, flowing toward Mooncaller on the stage. At this moment, she was like a giant vortex, sucking up every last drop of that pure soul energy!

"Wait, that's not right!"

Ian Song noticed something else wrong—when that soul power leaked out, everyone present seemed to grow listless.

"That's not ordinary soul power—Mooncaller's stealing their Origin Soul Power!"

Origin Soul Power is like vital blood—it’s the foundation of the soul. Even losing a single strand can have serious consequences for your future.

If you lose ordinary soul power, you can recover it over time. But once Origin Soul Power is gone, there’s almost no way to get it back.

Thinking this, Ian Song’s gaze toward Mooncaller changed.

She was stealing the very foundation from everyone here.

Luckily, she only took a single strand from each person—otherwise, everyone present might've had their souls collapse.

Suddenly, Mooncaller’s gaze landed on Ian Song.

Their eyes met in midair.

Ian Song saw a flicker of surprise in Mooncaller’s eyes. Clearly, she was shocked that he hadn’t been charmed by her dance.

After giving Ian Song a long, deep look, Mooncaller withdrew her gaze and stopped paying attention to him.

But she was still deeply puzzled. Even Fusion experts usually couldn’t escape the charm of her Heaven-Demon Dance, so how had a late Soul-Split cultivator resisted it?

For now, though, she didn’t have time to ponder it—she needed to refine all those strands of Origin Soul Power. Although Origin Soul Power was extremely pure, it always picked up stray thoughts from others. So as she absorbed it, she had to disperse those thoughts, or else they’d contaminate her own mind.

The dance ended—a full quarter-hour had passed.

A hint of satisfaction curled at Mooncaller's lips. She gave Ian Song another long look, then vanished from the stage. The crowd, meanwhile, was still lost in the dreamlike aftertaste of her dance.

It wasn’t until another half-quarter-hour passed that people started waking up, shouting praise. Soon, the applause became a tidal wave, almost shaking the roof—Brandon Nangong and the others were right there cheering too.

Seeing this, Ian Song felt a bit sorry for them. Their most precious thing had just been stolen, yet here they were shouting their praise. It was honestly kind of tragic.

"Brother Ian, I told you, didn’t I? Isn’t Mooncaller’s dance truly unforgettable?" Brandon Nangong said proudly, looking at Ian Song.

"Yeah, it really is unforgettable," Ian Song nodded.

"Ha! Someone, send Mooncaller a million flowers from me!" Brandon Nangong shouted.

A million flowers cost ten million low-grade spirit crystals, which was equal to a hundred thousand mid-grade, a thousand high-grade, or ten supreme-grade spirit crystals.

"I’ll send a million too!" Jasper Easton shouted.

"Heh, Jasper Easton, is that all you've got? I'll send five million flowers!" Warren Shentu called out, his voice full of challenge.

"Hmph! I'll send ten million more!" Jasper Easton shouted, drawing everyone's attention.

Seeing the two at it again, Ian Song could only shake his head in disbelief.

The tipping spree lasted over a quarter-hour, with more than a hundred million flowers sent in total—worth over a billion low-grade spirit crystals, or more than a thousand supreme-grade ones. Mooncaller was a true money magnet.

Ian Song and the others returned to their private room, but Brandon Nangong and his friends seemed a bit deflated.

They’d all seen Mooncaller’s dance, and now nothing else could excite them. In reality, it was because a strand of their Origin Soul Power had been taken.

Origin Soul Power is innate. As your strength grows, it increases too—but only by a limited amount. Once it’s lost, it’s nearly impossible to get back.

Take Ian Song, for example—his spiritual power was always strong, but before he took the Frost Spirit Pill, he didn’t have much more Origin Soul Power than anyone else. After taking the pill, though, his Origin Soul Power multiplied several times, boosting his potential, talent, and foundation.

That’s because Origin Soul Power has a huge impact on a cultivator’s potential, talent, and foundation.

Ian Song actually liked Brandon Nangong, Jasper Easton, and the others, so he said seriously, "Brother Brandon, you really shouldn’t come to places like this anymore."

Brandon Nangong blinked, then waved it off. "Thanks for the advice, Brother Ian. I’ll keep it in mind!"

But in truth, he felt a bit annoyed.

Seeing this, Ian Song didn’t say anything more. It was his job to warn them—whether they listened or not was up to them.

Just then, someone knocked at the door, and a young woman walked in.

As soon as they saw her, Brandon Nangong and the others lit up, all standing at once. "Miss Mooncaller!"

"Forgive my sudden visit, gentlemen!" Mooncaller’s gaze swept the room like water, then she smiled lightly. "I’ve come to offer my apologies to you all."
