Joe Di looked at the Cleardew Elixir in his hand with delight. After comprehending his own alchemy Dao principles, he managed to refine a second-tier immortal pill, the Cleardew Elixir, only three months after producing his first batch of Earthcore Pills.
The grade of the Cleardew Elixir was not the main point; what mattered was that this batch bore seven Dan Stripes—making it nearly the highest grade possible for Cleardew Elixir.
A faint medicinal fragrance wafted out, its scent alone refreshing the mind. This was, without question, the finest healing immortal pill he had ever encountered.
Joe Di swallowed the pill in his hand. As soon as it entered his mouth, it dissolved into streams of medicinal essence, and within the fragrant elixir seemed to linger an elusive aura of Dao principles.
For the first time, Joe Di felt his injuries rapidly healing. The immortal spirit stones around him quickly disintegrated, and all the immortal energy was absorbed into his body.
His physical body, which had not recovered for over a year, was now nearly restored by just one Cleardew Elixir. Only a few marks remained on his face, but it was certain they would fade soon enough.
The Cleardew Elixir truly was a treasure among low-tier immortal healing pills. With this medicine, he would have a safeguard for future body refinement.
"Junior Sister Mo..." Joe Di called out to Moria Lane.
Moria Lane would occasionally go to the deck to check on Blackfire and Sprout, who were piloting the ship, but most of her time was spent healing in her room.
Her room was directly opposite Joe Di's. As soon as he called, she came over at once.
"Here, take one and try it for yourself," Joe Di said, handing a Jade Vial to Moria Lane.
"Senior Brother Di, your injuries have improved so much?" Moria Lane asked in surprise, well aware of how severe his wounds had been.
After being scorched by the Celestial Fire Spirit, her own injuries were also terrifying. She had only regained consciousness for a moment before passing out again, never having time to examine her condition. By the time she awoke once more, she was basically back to human form.
But when she saw Joe Di, he was utterly unrecognizable—his body covered in blood, his organs torn to shreds. Because his wounds were all suffered for her sake, she had always been deeply concerned about his recovery.
That such injuries could heal so much in just over a year was astonishing. She was both shocked and overjoyed.
Joe Di smiled. "Yes, I managed to refine the second-tier immortal Cleardew Elixir. Its healing properties are excellent—probably one of the best low-tier healing pills. You should give it a try."
"Thank you, Senior Brother Di." Moria Lane quickly accepted the Jade Vial. She didn't know much about the Cleardew Elixir, but since it had healed Joe Di's severe wounds so quickly, it must be a top-grade immortal pill.
After Moria Lane left, Joe Di resumed refining Profound Origin Pills.
The Profound Origin Pill was a third-tier immortal pill, primarily made from Rootless Holly, and was intended for cultivators at the Immortal Lord stage.
Joe Di's goal in refining Profound Origin Pills was to become a third-tier alchemist, so he could begin crafting Radiant Profound Pills—the medicine he truly sought to master.
The main ingredient for the Radiant Profound Pill was Mystic Wheatflower, used by Golden Immortals to break through to the Immortal Lord bottleneck. Currently at the second level of Golden Immortal, he had to advance quickly; otherwise, even if he reached Cauldron Haven, he might not have the strength to protect himself.
Joe Di's alchemy Dao was not exactly inherited; if anything, it stemmed from his insights into that golden Dao principle.
Before forming his alchemy Dao, even refining a first-tier immortal pill was extremely difficult for him. But once his Dao began to take shape, with the help of the Construct Cauldron, his progress accelerated dramatically. His comprehension and mastery of alchemy outpaced ordinary immortal alchemists by a hundredfold or more.
Another five months passed in a flash, and Joe Di could now refine nine-striped, third-tier special-grade Radiant Profound Pills.
Joe Di stopped pursuing the rank of Grand Alchemist—not because he couldn't advance, but because he felt he simply didn't have the time for it right now.
His time was precious. Even if he didn't cultivate, he should be improving his artifact refinement skills. His mastery of arrays had reached the level of Immortal Array King, and likewise, his Blade Array had attained the seventh tier. But having a Blade Array without a suitable blade artifact was pointless, and constructing a seventh-tier immortal Blade Array with mere top-grade spirit tools would be laughable.
For Joe Di, the fastest way to increase his strength in the short term was not cultivation, but constructing his own Blade Array and refining his divine sense.
His divine sense was now at the third level of immortal sense, far from enough to control a seventh-tier Blade Array. If he could at least control a fourth-tier Blade Array, his power would rise substantially. So long as he wasn't instantly killed by a typical Grand Unity Immortal, he'd have a chance to turn the tables or escape.
Joe Di could already refine array banners for seventh-tier immortal formations. Artifact refinement was much easier for him than pill refinement.
At this moment, Joe Di was truly grateful to the sect masters who attacked Starhaven City. Without them, he would have neither pill recipes, nor alchemical herbs, nor artifact materials. No matter how great his plans, he would have been powerless to act.
Compared to the Immortal Crystals and pills gained from the sect masters' rings, the truly valuable prizes were the heaps of immortal spirit herbs, countless pill recipes, and vast stores of artifact materials.
......
Boom! Joe Di felt the space shudder, and the low-grade immortal artifact he was refining was instantly ruined.
Joe Di hurried out of the cabin and landed on the deck.
"Big Brother, we're being chased by a meteor stream..." Sprout called out anxiously as Blackfire steered the skyship to dodge left and right. The tremor had been caused by a meteor striking the edge of the Guardian Array.
Fortunately, the meteor only grazed the edge of the Guardian Array and didn't hit it directly. Otherwise, no matter how high the array's grade, the impact would have shattered it to pieces.
"Blackfire, let me take over. I'll control the skyship," Joe Di said, immediately realizing this wasn't a meteor stream chasing them, but rather that Blackfire had accidentally piloted the skyship into a void meteor stream.

There were plenty of meteor streams in the void, but given the vastness of the emptiness, encountering such a dense cluster could only mean Blackfire's luck was exceptionally poor.
Joe Di's divine sense was far stronger than Blackfire's. With him at the helm, the skyship weaved through the dense meteor streams, and in just over an hour, he steered them clear of danger.
"Big Brother, you're amazing!" As soon as the skyship broke free of the meteor stream, Sprout, still tense, couldn't help but flatter him.
Joe Di ignored Sprout and instead turned to Blackfire. "Blackfire, during my two years of secluded pill and artifact refinement, did you encounter any cultivators wandering the void?"
Blackfire quickly replied, "No, I kept hoping to meet someone and ask for directions, but in all this time, I haven't seen a single soul."
"My master once said that surviving in the void is extremely difficult, and cultivation is even harder. Once you enter the void, leaving it again is nearly impossible. So, apart from a handful of wandering cultivators, the void is almost devoid of life. Plus, the void is vast and forms the main part of the universe, so running into a wandering cultivator is rare indeed." Moria Lane had also come to the deck.
Moria Lane was referring to the cultivation world's void universe, but although the voids of the cultivation and immortal realms aren't the same domain, the general principle shouldn't differ much.
After Joe Di gave her a Qinglin Pill, her injuries healed quickly. Over the past year, apart from the lingering trauma from the Heavenly Fire Spirit, she was nearly indistinguishable from an ordinary cultivator. But that was only on the surface—if the Rainbow Immortal Peach ran out and she hadn't been treated, her demise would be inevitable.
But Joe Di said, "No, someone is already approaching—and their cultivation is higher than any of ours."
As Joe Di finished speaking, a skyship quickly appeared within everyone's divine sense.
"Whoa, there's really a skyship coming. Should we make a run for it?" Sprout asked nervously, worried since Joe Di said this person's cultivation was higher than theirs.
"There's no escape..."
Before Blackfire finished speaking, a man in coarse robes appeared on the approaching skyship. He had long hair, narrow eyes, a prominent nose, and broad palms.
"I am Shawn Montague. Greetings, fellow cultivators. Your skills are truly impressive—escaping unscathed from that meteor stream is no small feat!" As he praised them, Shawn Montague gave a thumbs-up, his divine sense simultaneously sweeping over Joe Di.
He must have realized that Joe Di was the leader. What surprised him was that he couldn't discern Joe Di's cultivation level.
Joe Di cupped his fists and replied, "My name is Joe Di. Greetings, Shawn Montague. I've spent years wandering the void and have learned the patterns of meteor streams—otherwise, I wouldn't have escaped so luckily."
